#20: Max DeLeo (Endurance 2)Congrats to all of us on getting this to the top 20!! Really cool.
So, maybe this might be controversial, but I just felt like Max's time was up. Although I enjoy Max, he left such a negative impact on the game, through a ton of backstabbing, and secret-alliances... (That didn't stay secret, because everybody knew what he was doing.)
I mean, he struggled with keeping secrets. But I also feel like if any other contestant were given a 2nd chance, they may have had the results as he & Jenna.
And that is why...I'm going to use my lifesaver on him. A bit late in the game, but like the others, Max had a significant part in his season. However, he was a major part in all the action, which his strategies, albeit those that crumbled like cookies, solidified his storyline other than the fact he was part of the "E1 returnees". In addition, Max had significant moments from the season, such as clashing with Scooter in "On the Ropes". With some of the others, they either had one or not at all. So therefore, try again!

#19: Cealey Godwin (Endurance: High Sierras)
This may seem a bit controversial, but what does Cealey in now is because most of her gameplay revolved around the Green Team's attachment to the Purple Team in terms of missions. She was notable for having a close relationship with Dakota, which also helped things. Why we kept her in for so long, I assume? It's because she was a major part of the Green Team's win in "It's a Drag" and for her outspoken personality. That also made her one of the most controversial contestants on the show, as she claimed Taylor had cheated in "Create Your Own Game" and made her cry. All together, we have a picture of an intense, competitive contestant who had the strength to win challenges; it's also about how polarizing of a role she played, but ended up winning E5.

I actually agree with Cealey being cut here. I mean, she did play a huge role in E5, but it was also a negative one

Totally don't blame you! It's getting tougher and tougher.#20: Connor Finnegan (Endurance: High Sierras)So I'm eliminating Connor because even though he was definitely given a tough hand, he was a hypocrite at some parts. (I LOVE CONNOR!! This kills me.) He backstabbed his own partner to keep Yellow in the game, and of course game the samahdi to them as well! He then proceeded to play an extremely loyal game, which honestly just gets me a little upset. Things honestly got super ridiculous!
I love Connor because he handled so many situations without stressing out too much, but in the end his decisions earlier in the game bother me too much. Connor was an amazing player, but somehow.. I still think Taylor might've gotten to the end with Ike still. Literally my #1 fav player of all time! I will say that Connor consistently showed a LOT of regret about his actions at the beginning of the game and, if you ask me, very much made up for it in how respectably he played after that. (also, the odds of Yellow being useful allies later on in the game were higher than it would've been with Gray. So although it still doesn't make it right, it is at least mildly justifiable in terms of gameplay. ) And now, I promise I'm not doing this as revenge!!!! But *ducks head*... #18: Daniela Bustamante (E4)Looking at the players left on the list, Daniela genuinely seems to be the least game-changing or prominently featured in their respective season. I actually do think she and Jonathan are pretty close in that they both were occasionally wrong in their ideas or perceptions of the game, yet they both also had moments of being right. But I'm voting Daniela because, although she was a strong player in her friendships and alliances - there was the deal with her wanting Michael as a partner in the beginning + she entered Beast Mode in some of the challenges towards the end. Outside of those two factors, however, I don't recall her role in the narrative being very obvious or highlighted throughout. That may not necessarily be her fault, but at the end of the day, all we truly have to go off of in eliminating is what was included in the show. Oh, and I also agree in cutting Cealey at #19! Seems about right to me.

Okay don't hate me but...using my lifesaver on Daniela. I'll explain more when I get home from work!

#18: Leslie Powell (E6) A powerhouse for sure! I would probably say Leslie is physically one of the strongest girls in all 6 seasons - also very sneaky and clever in her strategizing. Plus, her partnership/close friendship with Will made them an even stronger team. An awesome, respectable player for sure and I'm not entirely certain what else to say! We're getting close to the end and, as it goes, it becomes increasingly more difficult to eliminate.

Okay the reason I lifesaver'd Daniela is because I feel like she is truly one of the iconic Endurance players. As you pointed out she had a couple story lines but not as much as other people. However the reason I think she should go further is because of the character she played and story arc she got. I feel like she really encompassed what Endurance was all about and she made a connection with the viewers. She was, in a way, one of us in the fact that she was a superfan who got her dream to go on the show. She didn't receive the partner she wanted, but she made up for it with the way she worked with Jonathan so well throughout the entire competition and showing off her perseverance. She had the quirkiest mannerisms and speech ("like" every 3 words) but it didn't get that annoying because at the end of the day, everyone couldn't help but root for Daniela and the purple team. Overall despite the fact that she didn't get many story lines per se, I feel like E4 would have been really different if she wasn't there.

@bryan: That is a perfect encapsulation of Daniela's role on Endurance. Personally (don't kill me!), I thought she would be eliminated earlier, because of her lack of involvement in some parts of the season; for example, neither she or Jonathan asked the Green Team to give them the Samadhi in "Hang 5". However, I could see her character development over time; the most notable being from second out in "Drop Out" to hanging on with Erika in "Circle of Trust" at that final moment (though she still lost). kwdrewfan: I'm actually curious that you chose to eliminate Leslie at this point! If you look at E6, then the Green Team virtually controlled the game from the moment they were partners. I don't remember what her specific role was in the show, but I think she should've gone further (in the Rankdown), along with Will. On the other hand...we just eliminated all the Endurance: Fiji players hahahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! P.S. It's good we saved our lifesavers until later in the game, because we get to save the ones we really care about/think had the real impact on the game.

Honestly I thought Leslie deserved to go now too... like idk she just wasn't that memorable. Green team had a big role in E6 but that season's character development was lacking. Kinda the opposite of Daniela huh?

Thanks for your thoughts on Daniela! I cannot say that I agree on a personal level, because her character & role on the show just never spoke to me much at all? I actually came really close to eliminating her about 3 or 4 rounds ago because, although I like her and rooted for the Purple team, she is simply not a notable player for me. I'm not sure how else to explain it, I guess I just never saw the "connection" with her hahaha
Yeah, I voted Leslie because looking at the rest of the list I just saw sooo many more iconic names! Leslie was a great, strong player, but I thought she was probably the weakest of all the ones remaining.
also I was 1000% saving my lifesaver for Connor but then he was eliminated back to back with someone else before I got online and I wasn't sure if it was too late to undo it lol

#20 Mike Lavigne (E2)
I remember him being part of the Green Team that was in an alliance with Brown and Yellow. I would probably rank them fourth, behind Purple and Blue as teams that could have taken down the Brown team.

I would probably rank them fourth, behind Purple and Blue as teams that could have taken down the Brown team. I think you meant #17. Just figured I'd let you know. Mike is actually an interesting case; we've got to know him and Keetin well throughout Endurance 2; they won several missions and were considered the embodiment of "teamwork". At the same time, it seemed like they were under the radar in comparison to Annie and Calley's storyline, Scooter, Max, etc. Nevertheless, they were quite popular with the fanbase, because for the most part, they were generally good people who did well (in comparison to those who were nice people but got little screentime, versus those who made it far but were significantly more controversial).

Yay guys!! We're down to the last section of this rankdown!! No more lifesavers lol
Here's what we're gonna do. Everyone take a look at the list and make a list of 1-16 of the remaining players, 1 being who you'd rank 1st in this rankdown and 16 who you'd cut next. Then send me the list. You don't need to include reasons. What I'm going to do is average everybody's list into one final list!!
Then what I'm going to do is post #16 and a description about why they got this far, what they contributed to the show, etc. Then I'll PM the next person who #15 is and they'll do the same thing, then I'll PM the next person who #14 is, etc. So we'll still get to write up everyone remaining! Sounds good?

#16: Isaac Hainley (Endurance: Tehachapi)Average Placement: 13.8 | Lowest Placement: 15 | Highest Placement: 13 Isaac is the first of our final 16 to be cut, and while I agree with that, I also agree with him making it this far. As far as being memorable, Isaac stood out for his friendship with Jonathan and his partnership with Jeszie. Though Green proved themselves to be a powerhouse team in missions, outside of the missions Isaac and Jeszie never could see eye to eye. This culminated in one of the most iconic fights and memorable quotes from Endurance: "Let's play guess who I am - AAAAAAHHH - Yeah that's right, I'm Jeszie!" E4 would have been vastly different if Isaac wasn't there to influence the game. In a personal way, I am also happy that Isaac made it this far. E4 was the first season I watched as it was airing and was really into it. I was so obsessed with Isaac and Jonathan at the time. Both of them were kind of influential for a nerdy, awkward 10 year old. I thought Isaac was sooo cool - from his laidback personality to his long hair (which I adopted in high school, lol) to the way he did so well on Endurance and was so entertaining. It's kind of nerdy to say, but in a way Isaac (and Jon) were kind of formative to me at the time, or at the least were characters who I could look up to and aspire to be like. I always dreamed of going on Endurance and having my very own "Isaac" to be friends with. And even looking at him from my current age, he was a very good character. He was extremely loyal to his friends of Chris and Jonathan. He didn't really like to get involved in drama, but did so with his partner if necessary to protect his friends. Of course, he beasted in the missions and I was surprised he didn't win Circle of Trust, even with the samadhi. Though he kind of looked like a hippie jock, he seemed very down to earth and was an overall good person. Though I love Isaac and he did a lot to deserve his own merits, ultimately he wasn't as influential as the remaining people left. I feel like almost everyone left can be remembered by the casual fans, whereas I'm not sure if Isaac would stand that test of time. Tehachapi (and Fiji) contestants also suffer from their seasons perhaps not being as "entertaining" as other seasons - there weren't as many big game moves made and there wasn't an excess of drama (but hey E4 is still one of my faves). And while Green team on paper seemed like one of the most successful teams of E4, they still got thwarted by the Temple of Fate and left in 3rd. Additionally, while Isaac had a very chill personality and that's one of the things I liked about him, it also means that other people with stronger personalities left in the rankdown probably deserve to go farther. So, there you have it. Thanks Isaac for inspiring me to grow my hair out like yours... although thank God I later came to my senses and cut it! Lol
