I'm binge-watching E2 today so here are some interesting things I found:
- Michelle states before the partner mission she knows she will get to the Final 3 (and she was correct!) - It seemed like there were colors and teams picked out for the partner mission, but all the guys tried to sabotage for Red - They did not show the teams behind the fire when they were eliminated - Tyler was homesick by day 4 - Max said Gray said they would give them their piece, but Gray never talked to Brown once in the final edit - Purple and Green appear to have some sort of silent alliance
Those are the first four episodes, more to come!

- Jenna is so funny! "Well who would come up and say we're sending you other than Tyler." - Annie either has a tattoo but more than likely just wrote on herself "Made in Korea" haha - Annie later in the episode breaks the rule of not looking in the camera, she flexes after they win the temple against blue and looks into the camera - Scooter was overly serious and arrogant, wow I did not like him
Down to the final five!

The producers were so wrong to Gray in the final edit, smh. Maryelle had 4 interviews the whole season.
Annie cracked me up.

Maryelle definitely deserved more screen time, she was so sweet! When they made the list who do you think they planned for her to have as a partner?

- JD makes a mistake and says at 10 they are at the halfway point because there was 20 total - wouldn't that be 22 with Brown? - The Brown team gets a disadvantage of 2 feet with the samadhi, Jenna said she already had that with her height difference with Max xD - Why did Purple not send Brown and Green to temple instead of Yellow? They could have made it further, Yellow was never really a threat. - Calley was probably the most upset player I've ever seen voted out of the game. I thought her and Jenna were best friends and she left without saying anything - What do you think the samadhi was when Orange threw it out of the game? Maybe a 10 second disadvantage?

- Why would they show Green saying finished the challenge in the intro, that makes it obvious that they lost it, they wouldn't give us that big of a hint for the final temple mission... - The one round Tyler wants to stay he gets eliminated - This season had a lot of recap episodes - "Finish what we have started" goodbye Scooter you guys did nothing - Almost every team that lost at temple won the first round - Orange never did that bad in missions after the first round, they were always up near the front after the final 6 - Why do all girls have shorts that say "swim?" - Max was kind of a jerk when Michelle talked about trying to get her mom a vacation - There were goats on the island?! Why did I not know about this until the F2 - "Tyler was intentionally funny, Michelle was unintentionally funny" - Mike xD - The final two teams had no idea you could win some but not all of the pieces in the final mission, since all they knew was in E1 Yellow won the only one! - The poles from all the eliminated teams were used in the final mission, I loved that! - Mike was kind of mean to Jenna in the final mission lol - That final mission was really difficult to not win 4-4. If your team was really looking bad you could just jump off before the damage gets worse - HOW DO THE GOLDEN PYRAMIDS WORK - Jenna was so good at the final temple - You can always tell who won if there's a space between the two final pyramids - Green and Brown were both great at the final game, always really close to the gold pyramid - Almost in tears at the end, dang I missed Endurance. Brown definitely worked hard to come back, glad it was Green and Brown in the finals, an AMAZING season of Endurance. Honestly might be my favorite now.

E2 is really so underrated. So many great characters and moments.
NO BUT FOR REAL HOW DO THE GOLDEN PYRAMIDS WORK?!?!?!
And lol yeah you could sort of tell who won what round in the final temple based on how they revealed the pyramids.

NO BUT FOR REAL HOW DO THE GOLDEN PYRAMIDS WORK?!?!?! I'm rewatching the E5 finale right now, and this how I think it works. If you look closely at J.D. Roth before we find out who has the golden pyramid, he is shown pulling something. Therefore, I'm assuming that reveals the pyramids one by one. As for the golden pyramid, maybe there's a magnetic pyramid which is placed below a random silver one by the production staff. Hence the final game. (Just a guess)

Once everyone had a team, the guys and girls ilned up in two different lines. JD said: "If you caught the red ball, step forward. If you caught the green ball, step forward..."

My turn! Drop Out: --"It's hot, dry, and miles from civilization." 2/3 of it is basically the opposite of E1. --Calley: "I'm scared to be here because I don't know anybody and they don't know me, so I'm worried some of us might not get along." While this is the case every season, I remember a thread in how the opening quotes foreshadow something, and this really fits in for what happens to Calley and Annie. --David seems to be having a hard time on his burro. --Annie has the sunglasses; coming in with a determined attitude! --I like Mike's note on how he's the strongest mentally. Most of Endurance is based on physical endurance, but it's important to have the brains too. --Wayne flipping on his burro as J.D. is talking, hahahaha! --Trey: "I don't think [his burro] knew English." So hilarious! --J.D. "Who came in last?" (Simone raises her hand) "All right!" Good thing this wasn't the Amazing Race. --Maryelle moment (just for you, Bryan. ): When she thought the cabins were more comfortable than they actually were. --Some talk about rain...but this is a desert...Reminded me a bit of "Waterlogged" when Ashley's stuff was drenched. --Scooter: "I got on the bed, and it shouldn't be called a bed. It should be called wood." One of the best quotes ever. --"At this time, I would like to introduce you all to my friend...his name is Bear." I was looking at Scooter's Instagram one day, featuring a TBT to E2, and one of the comments was "Bear's TV debut." If you look closely at his Youtube videos, Bear does appear. --Yep, even with the first few minutes, Scooter wants to win. --If you look closely, Scooter had a blue hat on (hint hint...) Also, this might be a coincidence, but Shep and Calley were wearing blue tops. --Wayne and his good luck charm: I remember so many from E1, from Sabrina's hair to Lana's pig to Brandon's shell...wow. --Yeah...David wasn't really Endurance material. --At around the 13:39 mark, Scooter falls. This is the clip used in the "Who is Scooter Magruder?" video, for those who don't know. --It looked like more than six minutes to me. --To be honest, I felt like Glen could've stayed on a bit longer and became an Endurance contestant. Hm... --As soon as Sarah cheers for Trey, he falls off. --Interestingly, Wayne was the last person to fall off after the game ended. From the screencaps, it looked like he could've let go instead of Trey. --Annie: "Why couldn't it be over land!" To retard the fall, of course! --Pretty sunset... --And Scooter screams like a girl. --"[Sarah's] tough, give her some credit for that." I agree wholeheartedly, though I wished she survived the right to stay. --To this day, I'm not sure how Simone fell like that. Maybe it was the impact. --Maryelle was the first person who survived to let go, Jacquelynn (this is how you spell it, my friends) was the last one. --Simone: "And I also learned to never ride a donkey without a saddle." --Caught, Christa. Playing on the boys' tackle football team.

Wash Out:
--In the opening for the first two episodes, while we have the eight teams slide (spoiler alert for Drop Out!), there were some clips switched out so you didn't know who was the returning team from E1. --When Shep says the perfect partners would be Jacquelynn or Christa, we have a clip of Calley just looking down. (hint hint) --"Knowledge is the key for getting what you want." Who wants to be Jonna and create a list? --Shep: "This is where rivalries will start." Reminds me of Aaron and how he said, "I don't like this, it's turning everyone against each other." --Maryelle wants Phil, Tyler, or Shep, while Jacquelynn wants Shep, Phil, Mike, or Tyler. To be honest, I never noticed how a couple of girls wanted Tyler before. We usually remembered him as the guy who wanted to go home early. Meanwhile, Annie and Calley want Jeff or Shep, and everyone wants Jacquelynn! This reminds me of how on E1, all the guys wanted either Sabrina or Ashley, and Layla went, "Not all of you guys can have Sabrina or Ashley; there are two of them and they can't go to the whole group." --Annie's interesting perspective on how Jacquelynn seems to sway everybody on her side. --And if you noticed, Annie and Calley did stand next to each other in the first episode and talked to each other here. I think their conflict came after the teams were formed and the alliance lines were drawn. --When J.D. was closing the curtain, Calley was interviewed already in Yellow. This has been a trend in some seasons. --Yep, Mitch, Michelle did say she's confident in making it to the final three! Really determined contestant. --Mike and Keetin seem to have an easy time with the green ball: a match made out of heaven, as they say. --Why would Jacquelynn want red as her color? However, that's why I think the remaining boys wanted red. --Imagine how much the game would've changed had Shep caught the gray ball. No, really. Wayne and Calley would be a really weak team and we wouldn't have a Curse of the Gray Team. --While Yellow was the first team to be created on E1, they were the last team created on E2. --I didn't think Wayne was particularly excited when he found out his partner. --A handshake between Phil and Jacquelynn...no excitement?! They just got their ideal partner! --Annie: "I think we have a good chance of winning it because Jeff and I are similar and we both know what we want." I think they look like a strong team (keep in mind they were my favorite team and I still think they are cool.) --Calley: "We're going to do an awesome job." I like her now. --Tyler and how they are polar opposites: I didn't see this right on the get-go, I think they're fine, didn't think about it the first time around. --On the other hand, the Blue Team seems to be polar opposites. --Who decided on the pieces and why? --J.D to the Red Team: "Do you think you guys have what it takes to win?" Jacquelynn: "Oh yeah." I think she's cool and determined here. --Good response from Annie, not like "We just like the picture." --I always like how Calley smiles for the camera when J.D. introduces the Commitment piece to the Yellow Team. --Coincidentally, Heart was one of Gray's first pieces on E1. --Max: "Basically the strategy of the last game has to change." --I'm thinking of the number of possibilities that would've gone off on this vote. What if the two returning players were on separate teams? What if Aaron and Jonna came back? What if Christian and Ashley came back? What if Sabrina came back? It would be an interesting interview question--who did you think would come back from E1? --Scooter: "None of us like the Brown Team; they're going to have to leave. This is Endurance 2, not Endurance 1 reincarnated." One of my favorite quotes ever. --To be honest, I think the alliances this season were based on who supported the Brown Team returning vs. who didn't. What do you think?

Tower of Power: --Tyler just told GYB (Green-Yellow-Brown) his alliance was going against theirs. Not sure what to make of it. --"associating" with the Brown Team: I read this on another forum and I found this to be quite serious and funny at the same time. Seriously, Scooter is quite a polarizing contestant--I think a lot of people don't like him for his comments and general attitude, but he seems like to be a good partner to have. --Yeah...Christa lied about plotting (Operation: Purple). I think there's sort of the new Lana and Trevor in Christa and Scooter, but unlike the former, the latter is based on alliances. --Darn, have some respect for Purple! At the same time, nobody has proved themselves yet outside the RTS, so that's why they seem afraid. --Annie vs. the girls starts here (except Michelle) --Shep: "As far as I know there could be stabbing in the back, there could be some messing around with each other, but you really can't tell right now. The game this afternoon will tell." Spot on! --Keetin's mouth when the teams found it this would be a Temple Mission. --I don't understand why there has to be a Temple Mission right then and there. And why four Endurance Missions this season? --While we all noticed Michelle's lack of swimming ability in this mission, also note Calley was more than a bit behind on the running part. And Annie had a hard time on the swimming part as well. --Jenna the athlete; at the beginning she was ahead of Max. --Interestingly, Red was the first team to drop their blocks. --In addition, Green didn't have the hang on things until the latter part of the mission. But when they got it, they got it! --J.D: "GREEN! They're DOWN!" Hahahahahahaha. A person on another thread said, "Violence, J.D.!" --Calley: "Ohmygod! My feet!" --I really think Yellow could've won this mission. In fact, they, along with Purple, Red, and Brown could've won. But I wanted Yellow to win. --If Purple or Red won this mission, how much would've the game changed? --Yeah, taking off one's shoes was a bad idea. --Mitch: you're wrong. Tyler was on E2 for three days and now he's homesick. --The Green Team wanting to send Orange up to Temple reminded me of how the Blue Team on E1 wanted to send Green up; weak, sympathetic to Michelle and Lana, but didn't like Tyler or Trevor. --Keetin: "And it's going to be our fault, so that makes it even worse!" I feel bad...you have such power, but you don't want to hurt people. --I assume Green chose Orange and Gray because of Tyler's homesickness and Gray wasn't a huge threat. --As Chelsea said on E1: "I feel bad...for both of the teams." But mostly Orange because they aren't likely to come back. --I wonder if the teams thought the Temple of Fate would change every year. --The only floating ToF = awesome! --With the exception of Luck, none of the pieces apply at Temple. Sorry. Maybe there could be a piece called "strategy"? --Yep--Tyler doesn't seem to be too excited about going back. --And finally, sorry Bryan, but I didn't develop the love for Maryelle you have. On the other hand, you didn't really love Chelsea or Calley like I did. The feeling's mutual. --There's a TVTrope for Gray: "We hardly knew ye." How "Tower of Power" was a Temple Mission really screwed things over. On the other hand, there could behind the scenes footage...

It kills me that Tower of Power was a Temple mission. WHAT IF IT WAS JUST AN ENDURANCE MISSION UGHHHHHHHHHH
And I do like Chelsea! Especially now rewatching E1. Calley I USED to like...? Lol

Fireball: --Pre-episode: I almost forgot about my verdict on the mission! In retrospect, it was a good way to start off the season! Again, too bad it was a Temple Mission. :/ --J.D to Max and Jenna: "Did you expect that the Gray Team for the second year in a row would be the first team to be eliminated?" Max: "Yeah." Haha. --Jenna on why, "It's just bad luck!" Whom do we blame for the curse? --"Send Tyler home!" This is the beginning in a long line of notes which encouraged the remaining teams to eliminate another. --Why would Gray give Brown their piece? They weren't even in the same alliance! --Annie: "It wasn't an alliance, it was an agreement that we would all work together." What's the difference? --Tyler: "I didn't know [about the alliance]." Somebody else: "Tyler, you never know." --Tyler (on Michelle): "She asks the dumbest questions, she says like the dumbest things." Wow...at least we don't have a Willa on our hands. --Phil and Jacquelynn: the only Endurance team to have a sort-of relationship. All the other ones focused on alliance members/non-team members, think Jon and Ashley, Isaac and Amelia, Dakota and Cealey. --When Christa catches the ball, Scooter encourages her to eliminate Brown. What a surprise (sarcastially). Maybe Scooter is indeed the one-man team. --Why eliminate Yellow? Green won the mission the previous day...does Scooter have a grudge on Calley as well? --I remember reading Mitch's "If you could have any partner..." (2.0), and he mentioned "some people overlook how smart [Calley] actually was." Maybe this was an example of this when she begged Blue to take out Purple. --Down to Blue, Purple, Green, Red--final four of E4 and E5! --Do you think there should've been a rule in which you have to catch it out of the air, and not drop it? Because at one point, Annie had, then dropped it, but caught it again. --Calley and Scooter were particularly upset about being eliminated. --Fireball: So good the last shot had to be shown in slow-mo. I really liked the challenge! --Had Green won that mission, it would've been the second consecutive season in which one team won the first two consecutive missions. But Green though, the Teamwork piece was worth something! --I disagree with Shep on how it required luck to some extent--it took skill, but you also hoped that the person who caught the ball was either you or your alliance member. --And so the alliance of Purple-Orange-Gray-Red has split up to some extent, with Annie saying Red is neutral. --Michelle: "I'm not nervous about getting the Samadhi because I'm pretty tight with Annie." Well, she did say she wasn't worried about going to Temple because she was close with Mike...and we know how that worked out. --Annie: "Ever since this game started, we all said that Brown was people from the first Endurance and this was our Endurance 2, and that they should be gone." Sorry, didn't make up the twists here! --"What could be the bad thing about giving the Samadhi to Brown?" Annie: "Yellow comes after us...Calley said to all the girls that if somebody was after Brown, she's going to do whatever she can to go after them." Darn--a strategical beast in Calley! I really didn't notice this the first time around! Why wasn't this emphasized more? --Green-Yellow-Brown: I do think it's a repeat of E1 in that the girls are running the show to some extent. Mixed feelings with Shep. --Annie (on what to do): "Become friends with everybody?" --Didn't Green win the previous day? --How does J.D. ask the most relevant questions? --Tyler: "I do think Red is the color of love..." --Annie (on Tyler and Michelle): "I think both of them are stubborn and both of them don't like each other." Well put, but that's really, bad. --My advice? Be like Trevor and avoid your partner until the mission! --The strongest teams according to Jeff: Yellow and Red. I think the game would've changed significantly had either of those teams had won a mission. --Annie (on Red): "They bond together the most." Why don't they share some advice for Orange? --The one time they worked together so far...when breaking the Samadhi. How hilarious. --As for that secret Purple-Green alliance, I think it's just a way to prevent some stuff from happening, not really an alliance. --Michelle: "Every time something bad happens, it's Orange, Orange, Orange." Blame Tyler. --"I will not let Tyler break me down; I will stand up for myself when it needs to be done." And that's how you end an episode.
