lol it does sound kind of funny reading it back!
Edward, it is a bit like communism, but he is a socialist. And would being a communist make him any better than a socialist?
I don't think Obama's plans are what we need for the country because it will destroy business. Why discourage a business owner who has probably worked hard all their life to get there, and give their money to someone who's never worked a day in their life? I understand some people simply inheret great amounts of money, and some people just didn't have as many opportunities to be as successful in life, but mostly where you are at financially is a result of your own doing. So I personally think his socialist agenda will destroy business, encourage people to wait around doing nothing while the government hands them money, and in the end destroy the economy.
Btw, this is fun =D lol

no offense..it just sounded like you two were like 2 years old arguing. hilarious. no offense again. lol..i agree this is fun.
once again..as i've said before...i don't particularly like this idea of Obama's but we need it for a couple years, to get back on track. I don't like it because of the same thing you said "Why discourage a business owner who has probably worked hard all their life to get there, and give their money to someone who's never worked a day in their life?" and i completely agree with you there. but we need it..seriously. and not all people who are suffering now just laid back and relaxed. tons of them have probably worked overtime trying to pay mortagage rates, etc. but its not reflecting equality..and i trully believe in moral values. But then again..life isn't fair, is it?
P.S. i dont have anything against Bush/McCain..its just that they are so pro-war. and politics isn't one of my biggies but standing up for what i believe in is. and i COMPLETELY believe in right to life, happiness, and all those core democratic values.

I'm not so sure it's what this country needs, and I believe there are other ways to save the economy other than socialism and unfairness.
And as horrible as war is, Bush/McCain have the right ideas. It is necesarry to keep our citizens safe and to make the world a better place. I wish we could have a world free of war, but it will never happen, and we can't simply ask a foreign leader not to have a war and to settle it another other way and hope for the best - We can, but it won't work.
And obviously after a week of debating, no one's mind is changed, so we should probably put this to an end lol. I don't think any of us are going to change our thinking about it.

yeah, but this is sooo fun. and i agree with a quarter of what lucky just said. `cause i think obama is going to give money to the hard workers not people mooching off of their best friend or their mom or dad i think obama is smarter than that.

"Edward, it is a bit like communism, but he is a socialist. And would being a communist make him any better than a socialist?"
I wasn't calling Obama a communist, I was just addressing what you said about socialism. I was diffidently not clear.
"And obviously after a week of debating, no one's mind is changed, so we should probably put this to an end lol. I don't think any of us are going to change our thinking about it. "
lol I was about to say pretty much the same thing: no matter what we both say we'll have opposite views on whether or not Obama is a socialst haha

i agree..we're WAYY to stubborn about it. but this is fun. but you guys have KINDA made me see it the other way around too. i stress "kinda". lol
Scott: "And as horrible as war is, Bush/McCain have the right ideas. It is necesarry to keep our citizens safe and to make the world a better place." sorry i had to bring this up, but does anyone else hear the irony in that..make the world a better place?? yeaa..i'm pretty sure Bush could care less about makin the world a better place...or maybe he thinks he's trying to by killin more people. but then again thats just what i think.
about the socialism..i told it isn't one of my fav. ideas..but i agree with you..there may be other ways to save the economy, but i can't think of any other way that can help in the circumstances we're in.
i'm pretty sure all of us have heard for the search of Obama's non-allergic dog, and i was reading an article about it on Yahoo and there was one sentence that seemed pretty funny to me: If the Obama girls reject the Peruvian pup, we hope it won't create an international incident. That just sounds soo weird..now even choosing a dog can make global conterversies. *shakes head in disbelief*geez where is our world heading?

wow i read that article like 25 min. ago! and yeah, an international controversy over a non alergenic dog... people a big deal out of everything, like when people made a big deal about sarah palin not knowing whether africa is a country or a continent. even though we learned about that during kindergarten it`s still not that big of a deal...

actually...if McCain won..and Palin was vice-president..i'd be a little concerned over that. lol.
i know...the media makes a big deal out of every little thing. but then again..that's their job.
