I was poking around the Endurance Wiki and found two curious things. First, all of the info on Garret's page was cleared and it was empty. The history of the page indicated Garret himself deleted it for privacy reasons. Second, Sarah E2's page was just titled "Sarah" whereas everyone else was first/last names. The history of the page indicated that a Fandom (the host site) administrator removed her last name by request due to privacy concerns.
These actions indicate that at least both Garret and Sarah have actively tried to distance themselves from their Endurance past. And I get it, if a potential employer or client Googles you, you don't want your teenage self who appeared on a couple episodes a TV show to be the first result.
It got me thinking about the greater impact of the show on the former contestants. The show lives on forever in film (and our hearts, lol) but to put it in perspective: Endurance was shot over a several week period, from 12 to 18 years ago. At the time, it must have seemed like the biggest thing in the world to the contestants since they were all teenagers going on a crazy adventure and having it broadcast to the nation. But so much time has passed, people change, they experience more of the world, they get more life experience and grow out of touch with their younger selves. What was once the biggest thing in the world is now probably nothing more than a fun fact ("Hey I was on a reality show once!") to a lot of former contestants.
It's kind of sad in a way but that's the reality. I don't think anyone could've expected that when they went on this show in 2004 they'd still have fans and people discussing it in 2020, even though they're so far removed from it themselves. Luckily, it seems that most players have a generally positive reaction towards the show but the fact that some of them shy away from it to the point of scrubbing it off of Google search history is... sad for the fans, but just the reality, and they're allowed to not want to be stuck in their teenage self.

I get the privacy reasons but I always wonder why they'd try to distance themselves from Endurance.

I also wonder what former players think of fan sites like this one.

I also wonder what former players think of fan sites like this one. I remember Garret requesting that his information be removed on that Wiki! I didn't actually do so, however. As for impact on the show, it really depends. I remember Monroe having an on-and-off relationship with the show, from blogging about it to isolating himself from it to getting interviewed here, so it varies on time of life and how people interact with you. On the other hand, Endurance has helped with some careers, such as with Keetin, Lilly, and Scooter. So they would be more open with fanbases or reminiscing on the show. It depends--Chelsea was willing to do an AMA here, for example.

It definitely depends. Some of them have tried to distance themselves, as seen above. And some of them have fully embraced it, like Amplify mentioned Keetin, Lilly, Scooter, etc.
I would say for the majority of Endurance players it's just this really cool thing they did when they were younger that they don't necessarily think about too often anymore. They have fond memories of it but it's not relevant to their lives anymore. A lot of players that I've reached out to do interviews with are super surprised that anyone even cares about the show, but also happy to reminisce.

For some, Endurance was probably just a blip in their lives and they don't give it much thought to this day. I'm sure that at the age of 12-15, you think that it is the coolest thing in the world to ever happen in the history of ever, but as you grow older it barely holds any relevance besides for fond (or maybe not fond) memories.

That doesn't surprise me about Garret. He was portrayed as a complete ass and I'd be quite embarrassed for anyone I knew to find that footage if I were him.

I can imagine that but to be fair to him I'm sure everyone has done something in their life they're not proud of. I know that their are countless things I've done online that I am not proud of that anyone in the world can see.

Simone was certainly shocked when I asked her for an interview. She is amazing, super nice, and sweet.

But what did Sarah do on Endurance that was so bad? Garret is understandable to an extent but I highly doubt an employer would care how a teen acted on a show over a decade ago. Was Garret wrong? From the footage given to us yes but we have to remember he was a teenage and am sure we all did stupid things as a teenager me including. I still do stupid things now.

It seems Ike from season 5 deleted his isntagram. I asked him for an interview and he responded by deleting his instagram. I know for a fact I didn't ask him rudely.
