I do sometimes wonder why people would want to distance themselves from having been on TV, but some do that. I know for a fact there are things in my past I want to forget about, and maybe that's the case with some of these past contestants... Garret was portrayed as a jerk, and Sarah E2 was the first to fall, so it could have been an embarrassing memory for them.
It's not unheard for even bigger celebrities to try and distance themselves from their past and disappear completely. Momoe Yamaguchi was Japan's biggest star from 1972-1980, but she retired from entertainment to marry, have kids and lead a private life as a homemaker, and she's never come back since she was never really comfortable with being a public figure. Maybe that's the case for some former Endurance contestants.
Nice that most of them are still comfortable talking about their time on the show though (or at least, don't act like it never happened)!
