--"It's just that...Nicole doesn't like you, and the two other girls don't want to stick up for you." I wonder why the other girls don't want to stand up for Bryanah. What have they got to lose? Also, it makes me baffle on why they hate her even more. Fun fact, that quote is from the final four hahaha. The exact same clip is used again later in its actual context (hence why Monroe refers to Nicole and "the two other girls", because they were the only ones left) And I've also always liked Antonio. I feel like he was such a good-hearted, well-intentioned kid who was probably used to being the butt of the joke. As for who I would've chosen from the returning contestants, I've always thought that Taylor would be the best choice. I can see what you mean about Calley 2.0, but Taylor came in 2nd for the tiki challenge AND lasted the longest in the RtS mission, which looks quite difficult to say the least!

The exact same clip is used again later in its actual context (hence why Monroe refers to Nicole and "the two other girls", because they were the only ones left) Hmm, looks like there might be some suspicious editing issues here. I never noticed it when I first watched it or in the times afterward; we assumed this would go to real time, huh? Well, editors do make mistakes sometimes... Bagging on You: --Sarah's comment on how Yellow was "bringing a lot of negative energy" (thus justifying them giving them the Samadhi) was a little off, considering Blue was falling apart at the time. --Monroe: "If I had a more neutral chick as a partner, then I wouldn't have been in all this drama." What does he mean by that? I don't understand how Bryanah was bringing that much drama, if at all. --Wow, everyone's first throw was quite weak...and then there was Yellow's. I smiled along with them. --Hmm...would've Orange done well in the game otherwise? I think they will target Yellow, but other than that... --Monroe: "We dominated you!" I thought he said "We dominated the doom" for a very long time. Anyways, here's a gif. --Just the sheer suspense when the other teams have to decide, and Orange and Gray are going "Yellow!" --Clearly, Vanetta is trying to something strategically, but not good in terms of alliances, especially with her friendship with Nicole jeopardizing any concept of it. --J.D.: "There's four teams left, and one of them has got the Samadhi!" --When Red hit their platform, it launched one of the most anxiety-inducing scenes on Endurance. --Haha, Nicole trying to be strategic. "The only one that's getting it on there is Yellow and they're not eliminating them!" --You know things are good when J.D. says "It's down to the team who go the Samadhi and the second chance team." --4/6 even from five feet further out? That's really great! --I think this mission has entered the echelon of everybody's favorite missions, just for that one moment. --J.D.: "The 'weakest' team is standing here with the most power that we've had out here in this jungle." It sounds so satisfying. --Hearing Nicole cry "Please don't send me" sounds simultaneously funny and pathetic. --Even Lindi starts crying, thinking she's going up to Temple because she believes Bryanah doesn't like her. Just wow...what can I say? --Nicole: "We're the only ones who speak our minds." Really? --I don't see the rationale in Yellow sending Blue up to Temple, along with Orange. On the one hand, it's a mercy kill, as Willa doesn't want to work with Antonio. On the other hand, they've shown a little bit of potential in the two missions, and could become an even stronger team if they came back. The same could be said with Gray if they came back, as they had good teamwork and has an alliance backing them up. I wonder what would be the fate of the PROG alliance had Orange and Gray were sent up. Then again, Monroe noted how hindsight was 20/20, and therefore Yellow could've left the night after. Hmm... --Nicole: "I want to win, but I wouldn't mind if I didn't win, I want her gone." Wow...and I remembered why I hated Nicole's presence on E3. On the show, she basically picked on the Yellow Team until the final four; that alliance then was out of convenience. I know Nicole is doing well in the real world and is a different person than what we see on TV, but just this portrayal...ugh! Having a grudge like that? Cealey doesn't light a candle to her (as she was only carried and did go "I love you, Taylor"); Sabrina was only lying and manipulating to win (though trying to get her best friend kicked off and being mean to Jonna was over the top); but Nicole takes the cake as one of my least favorite contestants, if not the least favorite. (sorry for the harsh rant) --Demian: "I'm being sent to Temple because of my partner...I'm really confused; I'm not sure I made the right choice when I chose my partner." Wow... --Nicole: "I won't feel good until I've left after Bryanah did." --Those were some of the worse pre-Temple interviews I've ever seen on Endurance. Team dysfunction, bad choices of partner, revenge...instead of how much they've appreciated each other. --Nicole: "Watch the strokes of their hands, you know the shapes for Ws." --Before there was Darci... --I wonder why they've changed the Temple of Fate cauldrons this season, though the location for it was spectacular. --It's sad, considering Blue's potential on E3. How far could've they've gone?

Squaring Off: --Why did Blue forgive Yellow so quickly and easily? --Nicole: "I think the Yellow Team would definitely be a target; they sent the Orange Team and they chose based on personal reasons, which is not right at all..." So that's saying Orange never targeted a team for personal reasons? --Did the crew just decide to give it to Orange? --Vanetta: "I think there's a plan; they're going after us." Did Vanetta just realize that? Did she have second thoughts on her friendship with Nicole? HAHAHA. In the words of Bryan, "Only about 3 episodes too late, honey" --Bjorn: "Can I just sit down right now?" That reeks of desperation in so many ways. Not to mention, darkly comedic. --Reece choosing Yellow to go next sounds like an act of mercy. --Alex: "Once they had sent it over to Yellow, we had that game sealed." --J.D.: "Brown Team, I almost don't have to ask, but i have to..." Yeah, you shouldn't have. --I'm laughing because of the sheer anticipation, even though I know what would happen next. --Well done Vanetta, well done. And they lived to regret it. ----Vanetta tried to justify it by saying that Orange wouldn't put any pieces on them...well...I don't know what to say about this. --How conniving from Gray in eliminating themselves. My respect for them at this point is at a lukewarm level. --It wasn't a strength game, but Yellow lost anyway. --I think this mission would've been more interesting if there weren't cliques already in place, especially with PROG's domination of the game. --Tom's confessional really hit it home, this is just awful... --Did they really pick their own teams? (when Nicole said she and Demian picked one team) My impression is that they had it all planned in advance. --Oh, that string music before Monroe talked, that really fit the mood. --Then again, even the strongest of alliances end up compete against each other in the end. But this is just so wrong on so many levels. --For a brief moment, even Nicole is crying. --Bryanah: "As long as I'm true to myself, I'm true to anyone else, then that's all I could give to anyone." --Just hearing Alex say, "I'll just miss waking up to see it all" hurts me inside. --"And it will be just as hard to come back as it will be to leave." Oh Monroe...these moments are when you want to hug the contestants. --In this rewatch, I now know how amazing the green team was and could've been. I really loved Alex and her positive energy, along with how she stuck to Bryanah throughout her time here on the show. Bjorn was a cool kid, even though we didn't see him that much in the final cut. I think they're one of those teams who deserved to go further than ultimately had...again, well done Vanetta. --I want to know the name of the background music when Green "disappears" behind the fire. It's so attached to Endurance's saddest moments.

Out on a Limb: --On the wikia, there's a part of the letter which was left unread; I wonder why...most of it was directed towards Yellow as (obviously), they were best friends. ----For those who are curious, "The four-fingered viking wants all the guys & girls to be friendly; he seriously loves each and every one of you—and Alex does too!" --J.D.: "Your friendship has put you in a three-way tie here." Wasn't it the same with Orange in the previous episode? --Nicole on the goodbye letters: there were way worse letters than Alex and Bjorn telling Monroe and Bryanah to "keep Demian in check"--"dear everybody except Mike and Keetin" comes to mind. --Nicole: "Yeah Demian, why do you feel sorry for him?" And then Monroe's confessional. --Kareem's face. --...yet Kareem wasn't that strong. --Oh Demian, he had to step over the side. --How did Reece have that scare? --At one point, the Yellow Team's see saw was basically balanced. --"And Yellow's just hanging out!" --That "Monroe, you're a beast!" part was a good way to go out. --Rachel: "If we keep underestimating them, they'll keep winning and winning." --Monroe: "The comfort level just dropped, and Yellow's shot up— because now they know that their little alliance is gonna be broken up; all I can say is, what they did to Yellow will be done to them!" YAAAS. Especially after "Squaring Off". And Reece rolling in the mud in one clip. --Demian: "When she starts yelling...I just, don't listen." --Nicole complains about Demian messing things up, next clip shows him suggesting Yellow should have Gray and Purple on their superteam. --"I just don't think that my partner Nicole deserves to win this game..." Wooooow, already this early? I know he had some regrets on "Bagging on You" when Orange was sent to Temple, but I thought this was more final five stuff. --"All three of us have problems." Form an alliance, maybe? HIre a samurai? (Bill Wurtz reference, for those who don't know.) --Nicole: "I want to be with Lindi."/Bryanah: "I want to be with Alex, but she's not here, she got kicked off." It takes two to tango in this game, and three to wonder if there should be a team switch. That burn from Bryanah sounds eerily satisfying. --"Why are you disowning your only friend?" Why is there so much dark comedy on E3? --Demian (on whether he's standing up to Nicole): "I guess..." (Meanwhile, Monroe shakes his head no)

Sarah aka "I don't like Bryanah" Bryanah didn't really do anything, the other girls just didn't like her And that was always gonna be my strategy at Temple, if I was ever on the show lol. I wonder how many people did that, or did it not come to their minds?

They definitely had it planned from the beginning. Demian was friends with both Bjorn and Bryanah and I don't think he would have wanted to send them, but Nicole probably convinced him to. That quote seriously makes me tear up! Bryanah was spitting some truth. It's one of the best Endurance quotes really.

Bamboo Jungle:
--What did you guys think of superteams as a concept? =-Tom: "I thought friendship might count somewhat, but obviously not." Well, everybody wants to win in the end... --J.D. "So, what would be the safest move be?"/Tom: "To win."/J.D. : "That would be right." --The Orange/Brown/Red superteam were doing all right until they've gotten stuck on that obstacle. --Tom pushing Vanetta--hahahaha. --J.D.: "Although Monroe, you were dragged twenty yards through that thing..." --I really liked this superteam challenge personally; however, the other ones on E4 and E5 didn't live up to it. --Vanetta: "We didn't lose, we won, but they just won ahead." What?! That didn't make sense at all. --Demian: "...and it's Vanetta..." --Chris: "If you think you're going to Temple, don't try to suck up. If you're going out, go out with pride..." --Bryanah: "I could just picture Nicole stabbing me in the back again." --Even Vanetta thinks Bryanah has a crush on Tom...despite being part of an alliance with Yellow, rewatching everything, it looks like Tom and Vanetta have different friend groups. --Nicole looks cynical. --I wonder if the contestants who kept diaries while on the show ever read back about them. --Lindi: "Orange hasn't proved that much..."/Rachel: "And we've proved even less!" --Bryanah: "You don't come back with a huge smile on your face." To be honest, I feel bad for Tom in those scenes. --And yet, Tom wears a Yellow cloth on his head. --Rachel: "If we come back, we'll be a little upset with Gray and Purple, especially Purple because they didn't stick up to us." I wonder why Purple didn't do so. They looked like they could be the mediator team between Yellow and Gray. --Kareem: "Do whatever you want." --And that was when I first watched Endurance...

Pipeline: --Previously on: the "outcast" team (when referring to the Orange/Red/Brown superteam): really? --"Yellow, we had our doubts, and now we know we really can't trust you." Hmm, other than getting sent up to Temple, I wonder why they would bring that up? Did it have something to do with Yellow not helping Red after Red saved Yellow on "Bagging on You"? My impression of Red is that they were just there, compared with Orange, Purple and Gray. Why did they join the "in-crowd" in this case? --Tom: "Kareem and I were tight, but obviously not, and he just conveniently forgot to tell me that, so he is trustworthy." Ouch... --Lindi: "Yellow we can't trust right now, so they're not our friends..." Well, superteams =/= everlasting friendships. I will watch this season again twenty years in the future, and I will never know why Gray, Purple, and Orange all targeted Yellow. We might be watching this show with our children in the future, and they won't know why. --How did Sarah compete with a wristguard? Honestly, based on what I've read about people going to the hospital at times on E3, this season could've been a failure, and it wasn't. --I'm convinced those balls, with the exception of the gray ones, were recycled from "Cherry Picker". --Sarah: "My arm hurts..." *drops ball* --Oh Vanetta... --This was the most lopsided victory on Endurance man, haha. I think this was a great mission, but it was so lopsided between the other teams it took the joy out of it. Had this been done in another season, the editing team would've had to work overtime to make it look compressed, or they would just give up and go home during the challenge. --Vanetta would take Purple's pieces if she was on Gray: I have the impression Vanetta would do the most practical thing possible in order to win, though we haven't seen that much during this season. Also she's still friends with Nicole in this shot. --Nicole: "If they were playing smart, I wouldn't be here still." Or you would, because Orange could've returned from Temple. --Nicole: "When it comes down to it, Chris sees a pretty girl and he becomes stupid." --Bryanah: "If you win and you send me to Temple, you don't know how furious I would be." Oh Nicole, trying to play both sides. I don't know, but it all seems like a facade. --Who are the strongest teams this season (at this point)? Compared to E1, where there was Blue on the mission front and Yellow on the strategy front; and E2, where Purple, Brown, and Green are fighting to be the strongest team on the island, it's a little less clear. --J.D.: "Purple, tell me how the alliances are working out." The timing! --Reece: "I don't think we really have alliances..." Tell us more, Reece. --J.D. (to Nicole): "Does your face always turn red when you're not telling the truth?" --J.D. "Anyone out there that wishes they could change partners?" *camera focuses on Nicole and Demian with sinister music* --J.D.: "Nicole and Demian, both smirking, and there goes Nicole's red face again!" --Nicole: "We just have issues to work out." Hmm... --Nicole and Demian look so awkward, it's almost adorable! --Great...

I'm Pulling for You: --Why didn't they get boots earlier, considering where they were at? --"It is the most powerful Samadhi we've had to date." --Tom: "There is only one flaw with our plan: Nicole." What was the point of Nicole making that deal with Bryanah in the previous episode? --Nicole: "You have no idea what's going on Demian; there's a lot going on which I'm not telling you." Wait... --What?! That's low Nicole, real low. It's basically throwing Brown and Yellow under the bus after one day and an act of self-sabotage. --I'm not sure about Nicole's morals when she told Chris about the secret alliance. If she didn't want to cause trouble, then she wouldn't have told Chris or never made the alliance at all. --That actually escalated quickly--from alliance breaking to "Orange Team is done!" --Nicole: "I have no life experience? I've been to every state in the United States; I've traveled to Europe!" That is so not going away for a looooooooong time. ----And saying you've been to every U.S. state? You can run for president now! --Demian: "She's a little cheerleader, and she wants to go with the quarterbacks. Chris and Reece are the quarterbacks." Then what does that make of Monroe and Demian? --Monroe: "...even though Reece is Chris's little puppet." --How would've Orange recovered those pieces? --I really love this challenge. A while ago, I mentioned it was probably my favorite challenge ever. I'm not sure it's still the case, but it ranks very high. (Two days ago marked five years since I've signed up for this forum haha.) --It would've been interesting to see who would've Orange picked for the Samadhi had they won. The resulting arguments would make Isaac and Jeszie's from the following season look like innocent banter. --Tom: "The Brown Team got six pieces, while everyone else got more than that." And that's why you're the weakest team. --Bryanah: "Nobody thinks strategically; they just give it to Yellow." The theme of the season. --Nicole: "[Demian] can't do anything; I'm the ruler of this teamwork." --"...and I am supposedly mean!" I actually don't remember this part, but it's amusing. Plus Nicole's singing leaves a lot to be desired. --The way Orange is falling apart is so funny. And just the way Nicole walks when she was singing... --I don't think Chris and Demian were best friends. --Nicole: "I love Demian" and hugs him. Yep, there are problems. --Vanetta lifts an eyebrow to it...there's a lot more than meets the eye. --Chris: "And I think that you need to stay true to everyone even though they are not your friends now." Hmm...how's that working out? --Chris: "Friendship is a strategy." To what extent? On the one hand, we have genuine friendships form on the show; on the other hand, we see Sabrina manipulating Aaron because Aaron had a crush on her. --Monroe: "We never get to go home happy." --I think if I were in that scenario, I would've thrown it with one hand. I would've been that upset.

Balance Ball:
--On Vanetta: Ever since I've been rewatching E3, along with reading your comments, it was fun to bash on Vanetta. From her physical incompetence to throwing Green under the bus in "Squaring Off" (as they were eliminated), it was funny. At the same time, I don't see anything objectionable towards her, though her friendship with Nicole did ruin some parts of the game. If I were Tom... --I think it would be an interesting twist to dissolve all the teams for a mission, and have them fight amongst themselves as individuals. Then again, there's Survivor for that. --It was so sad to see Tom trying, but failing to get a ball in. --Had Yellow competed, how would've they've done? --Lindi: "He needs to watch what he says to Purple and Gray." Like they're the big dogs? --"You know how it feels when your mom calls you to do some chore? That's how I feel right now." --Nicole: "I don't know if he wants to make friends." --Bryanah: "Lindi, she's a great person, by hanging out with Nicole, it's not having a great effect on her." --Gosh, the girls are so petty! They have no reason to hate on Yellow. They're basically like, "You can't sit with us." --Monroe: "If I'm not going to be there tonight, they're going to feel my pain there tonight when they have to sleep in their wet sleeping bags. And if I'm there, it'll be funny to watch them be mad." Such sweet, sweet revenge. And a nice parting gift. --Monroe: "Yellow is the everlasting team; we will not go away." --I liked hearing about how being partners with Monroe changed Bryanah's view of the world. --Monroe: "Such a mind game." --They also took their only two allies in the game... --Bryanah: "See you later, J.D."/Monroe: "Hopefully not too soon."

I've been working outside and man, I KNOW when they got those boots it must have been like Christmas. I think it took so long because the producers didn't expect THAT much rain, and they needed some time to logistically get everyone some boots. But having boots when it's raining and muddy >>>>
You don't think about it much when you're just watching the show but living in all that rain and moisture was probably miserable.
I like to poke fun at Vanetta, sure, but at the end of the day she is harmless. There's nothing particularly offensive about her, it's just the stuff she said and did was so...strange, looking back.
I would love to read someone's Endurance diary. I wonder who even still has theirs.

You don't think about it much when you're just watching the show but living in all that rain and moisture was probably miserable. I bet so. I live in Seattle, which is known for its rain, but the rain I get here is trivial compared to that the contestants have to deal with. Since I didn't answer the "If I was Tom..." part in the previous episode, so... --(in the challenge): I would've went on. Considering that Tom only got to this point by winning "Headstrong", I would've tried to make the most out of my second chance here. The Halfway Mark: --There's an unread part of Tom's letter that went: "Orange, careful. There are some things in life that just can't be tested. If you don't know what I'm talking about, Damian (sic), then have a team chat with Nicole." That's something--I know Vanetta and Nicole were friends, maybe that secret alliance split them apart. And I think Tom saw something with how Orange was dysfunctional over the course of the season. --Even after all this time, Brown gave Yellow their sole piece. --Chris: "Because you talk with us more." Ugh! It's like what runesandribbons said: "the Annie/Calley-Keetin-Jenna drama from E2 but like x50". Except my impression is that Nicole, Sarah, and Lindi are trying to make up new reasons to not like Bryanah. Why did this jungle have to become some cliquey? --Monroe: "At least you weren't mean." --Nicole: "Yellow would be gone if it wasn't for those stupid boys." Oh? --Yellow has been the outsider team for the last...twelve episodes! --That was a good challenge! I wonder why there aren't as many brain challenges as they are on Endurance...and this is coming from somebody who doesn't consider them her favorites! --Do they have different puzzles for each team? --Just seeing Yellow celebrate makes me smile. I said that they were on my all time favorite teams, and now they're at or near the top. --Lindi: "It's ironic that Yellow got the Luck piece; all this time they've had luck, and that's how they've gotten to where they are now." Misuse of ironic needs this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wnec6SmjHP0--Nicole: "We never win Temple Missions anyways..." Then what about "Squaring Off?" --Monroe: "Chris and Reece can be irritated that we're not telling them; yeah, they are nervous and one of them is getting it...and they know that, but they can be irritated and mad and rue the day about it all they want...well it's just fine with me because they've wrecked plenty of my days." --Bryanah: "I didn't think I'll be going too far...and he proved me wrong every single challenge we had." --Sarah: "I miss everything, like my bed, my TV, my cell phone, my friends, food...it's like everything, because I'm not used to all kinds of mud and rain...and I'm used to clean clothes..." That part is what inspired Darci to get onto Endurance, I'm guessing, as seen through this article: www.hercampus.com/entertainment/her-story-i-was-reality-tv-show--Why is Reece so bland? --J.D.: "So you want to split the Samadhi three ways?"

The Final Four:
--So Yellow could've been in first had it not been for Gray... --One clip was used for "Out on a Limb". --This alliance was at least four episodes in the making... --This was a pretty fun challenge! It's more luck than anything else, but the use of speed was pretty good! ----On the other hand, since it's based off of luck, what's the point? --Nicole: "It's like me saying 'I'm going to send my mom to the Temple'...you just don't do it!" --Lindi: "I would choose winning over friendships, but I always thought Nicole would choose friendships over winning." On the one hand, I've had the impression that Lindi was a bit hypocritical, in that she expected that from Nicole. On the other hand, it could be a difference of strategies, of some sorts. But it's clear which friendship Lindi and Chris values--and it's not theirs with Nicole and Demian. --Monroe: "Whenever Lindi thinks she's in jeopardy of going to Temple, she just sits up in her bunk and cries—well, Lindi, you need to stop crying; you're going to the Temple, and you might as well make the best of your last day here." Some burn... --Demian: "It didn't matter if we loved each other, hated each other, or whatever we did, it was always learning from each other." That was a nice quote. --Lindi: "Gotta look good up at Temple!" --Nicole: "How can you be thinking about food when I'm trying not to cry, you insensitive people?!" Wow... --That alliance between Orange and Yellow barely lasted as long as the Brotherhood. ----And there's no time for an alliance in the final three: win, or get sent up to Temple. --Bryanah: "I love you."/Chris: "I love you too." Even after all this time... --Don't forget this was the first time the Gray Team survived a trip to the Temple of Fate! --Sarah and Lindi mouth "I love you" to each other. And I hope they never forgot about each other.

Nicole: "I thought I'd be freaking out right now, you know. When I got sent I was crying, and the people who sent me were crying. I'm not crying right now and I just sent two teams to the Temple and I know that they're best friends and I'm getting ready to split them up."

Then what does that make of Monroe and Demian? Aw man that fight just cracks me up.😄
