Hey y'all it has been a long time. For those who don't remember me, I'm Oscar (Andres' older brother from e6)
I was not sure if the public was aware of an original twist they had on e6 or not, so I wanted to let the fans know. Before taping the season, my brother and the other cast and crew were in fiji for about 2 days as the the endurance crew was finalizing all the stuff to begin filming the season. On our first phone call Andres kinda described his trip from Austin to Fiji, the other contestants, his impression of a few and who he thought he wanted as a partner/form alliances with. For the first day not everyone was in Fiji. I think Jordan and Jackie arrived a day later then everyone, so it was not until the 2nd day that he found out there would only be 16 contestants. We were both excited since that meant he was picked from thousands to be one of 7 guys for the show - excluding Will since he was voted by the public. Also we assumed that there would be 8 teams, just as Endurance had for Endurance Hawaii.
However he later found out that they had to do a right to stay. However he found out that the episode where JD reveals a suprising twist was originally suppose to be the 2 girls and 2 guys that were eliminated from the right to stay would return as the 7th and 8th team. But filming in Fiji cost alot more than Endurance expected. And when it was time for that twist to happen, they ran out of money for it. Which was a total downer.
I personally thought the rts was a waste and they should not have spent the money making it if they were going to return anyway. But i guess it is just tradition. So thats it, just wanted to let you know the original twist for fiji. Too bad it didn't happen, espcially for my brother, mj, becca, and cinnimon. But glad to share it with you endurance fans.
A little update on my brother. He is currently a senior at Austin High. He finished football season and applying for college. He was voted "Most Likely to be on a Reality Show" by his senior class. I got the same title when I was a senior haha the only difference is that he was already on one when he got the title, I was not. But besides that doing good, enjoying his senior year.
Here is a picture with him and my dad after one of his football games.
