well everyone, it's almost the time where they announce whether or not theres going to be another Endurance. They have to tell us very soon cuz summer is only like 3-4 monthes away, are they gonna tell us???  |

Ok guys I called Discovery NY and they said there is a possibly of Endurance happing in the future. The reason why there was no Endurance in 2008 was that they where switching Endurance from a domestic to international enterprise. They said that this switch will take several years to complete.
In the process they cut funding for Endurance and all shows on Disocvery Kids. Now they only show re runs on DK until they switch DK to an inernational enterprise. They they tell me that once it is swithced it will be up to Discovery Latin America to decide if to keep Endurance. I called them and they said that they aren't sure when they will know about if they will continue Endurance.The idea I got was if they wanted to contine Endurance now they couldn't because the switch from domestic to international hasn't finished yet. The person who answerd the phone seemed clueless and she said that she didn't know much about Endurance. I asked her if she knew who would be the decision maker to decide if Endurance would continue and she didn't know. I DON"T think we should bombard Discovery Latin america with calls it will annoye them very very much. I will call them tommorow and talk to high up people at Disocvery Latin america who could know more. Discovery Latin america might not even know how much we want Endurance. As far as I know none of our stuff have been sent to Discovery Latin america.
I will have more info on Monday.

Okay so what you're saying is that Endurance could happen but not for about a couple of years?Or could it come the next year.

And why is it Discovery Latin America's choice not Discovery NY?
And where can I send letters to them and call them?
What's there phone number?
And why are they changing it from Domestic to International? becuase if they are changing
FIRST OFF, WITH ENDURANCE SORTA BEING ON HIATUS OR WHATEVER THAT'S A HUGE!!!!!!!! CHUNK OF PEOPLE THEY ARE LOSING BECUASE MANY PEOPLE JUST ONLY WATCH ENDURANCE
ON THEIR CHANNEL. LIKE I WATCH MOSTLY ONLY ENDURANCE ON THERE CHANNEL AND RARELY FLIGHT 29 DOWN BUT THAT'S DONE.
PLUS, IF THERE JUST GONNA HAVE RE-RUNS WHO IS GONNA WATCH RE-RUNS FOREVER. I MEAN I DO LIKE SEEING EPISODES OF SOMETHING AGAIN BUT WATCHING THE SAME EPISODE OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN JUST GETS BORING. WHICH I THINK WILL JUST LEAVE NOT ALOT OF PEOPLE WATCHIN DISCOVERY KIDS MUCH.
AND TO TOP THAT OFF!!! NOT EVERYONE HAS DISCOVERY KIDS. I MEAN I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT DISCOVERY KIDS WAS UNTIL I STARTED TOO WATCH ALOT OF ENDURANCE.
SO, I CONSIDER THIS A REALLY BAD MOVE ESPECIALLY AT A TIME LIKE THIS WHEN MOSTLY THEIR SHOWS ARE JUST RE-RUNS.
BUT ANYWAYS SORRY FOR THE LONG POST I WAS SUGGESTING MY OPINION.

Ok...So the whole world has to accept Endurance to their discovery channels and if not, They wont show it!?
I know its not international but I know 2 kids in Japan that watch Endurance online!

You all have got good points and questions. I think that the situation is very complicated and I think that they don't tell us the whole thing unless we ask because they are busy and it would take them a long time to tell us the whole situation. Also I have heard that most people don't really know how the TV industry works and they might think if they tell is the whole story we might get confused. I think still right now we might not know the whole story.
I really don't know how we could speed up the changing from international but I will call on monday and ask for that. and all of your questions.

I dont think us sending in so many petitions would help either. Cause my civics teacher told me that when your rebel to get something you want, If you continue to do it, They'll throw it down even harder. So it should have just been 1 letter and then their might have been results by now but when you continue to send letters and petitions to a television company, They normally get ticked off and reject them. =\

Oh yea I guess that guy was right about what he said on Pretty Good News thread becuase he said to you enduranceman that if they got the money for Endurance they will do a Endurance in 09 because Discovery cutted the funding for all the shows since they are changing it to a domestic enterprise to a international enterprise. But don't give up hope Let just be optimistic about the situation ;D So See ya later  |

If they made it an international they would have raised the funding...Its like how Survivor was a based American show but its spread to like Australia and China and they have different versions. The american show gets cuts of profit because its copyright. If they made Endurance international, They would raise the fundings immidiatly.
All of that doesnt make sense if their cutting the shows funding it they want to expand it... =\

So has anyone found out stuff about Endurance? but anyways you do have a point there casey if they were making it international then they would be raising the funding so that the othe places around the world would be able to make their own Endurance not cutting it . So I guess i was wrong or could they be doing somethng else. i'm just confused right now of where Endurance is staying and we don't really have much time to figure it out and bring it back on 09.
