The Spirits Speak Episode 4: Push It PREVIOUSLY ON THE SPIRITS SPEAK! The eight official teams began their grueling battle to become the Spirits Speak Champs! The Brown team had communication problems, leading to arguing, tears, and a large target placed upon their backs! The first challenge allowed players to target any team they wanted with sandbags, trying to knock them out of the game. In the end, Yellow team came out on top, and Brown team came in last place. Lola was packed and ready to leave, but the Spirits of the Island had another future in mind for her, and the Purple team, Gabrielle and Zach, were eliminated! Today the final seven will compete in another challenge, and one more team will be forced off the island! -Theme Song- 8 Teams Brian and Gem scream at each other. A girl in orange storms out of a hut. 10 Challenges Green cheers as they pull a cart over the finish line. Lola tackles Tristen for a ball. A purple raft sinks. 2 Champions Blue team hugs in the temple. -Theme Song- Red: Luis & MandyBrown: Nike & LolaGreen: James & TristenBlue: Drew & KariGray: Oliver & CarlaOrange: Blake & YvetteYellow: Brian & GemThe next morning some teams have mixed feelings about the sudden eviction of Gabrielle and Zach. Carla: “I’m not sure what to think about Purple team going home last night. I was good friends with both of them, and we liked to hang out and laugh, but also, they were a threat. It’s kind of good that one of the strong teams is out so early, but I’m gonna miss them.”Brian: “I’m so happy Purple team lost last night! That is a HUGE challenge threat gone after two days.”Nike: “I’m happy I’m still in the game, but if I want to make it past this round, me and my partner have to mend our relationship. And fast.”Kari: “It was weird seeing the Purple team leave. I liked them, and they were great people, and what happened to them wasn’t fair. They were a strong team, and before we even played a team challenge they were labeled as dangerous, and targeted immediately.”Some teams hang out at the beach that morning to swim and talk. Brian: “Isn’t this great?”Mandy: “Isn’t what great?”Brian: “Purple’s out of here!” he laughs. “I HATED them!”Kari gives Brian an annoyed look: “What are you talking about?!”Oliver: “Did you even know them?”Brian: “It doesn’t matter if I knew them, it matters that they were threats and needed to be cut.”Mandy: “Brian is SO annoying! He’s constantly irritating us, trying to pick fights for no reason, and being obnoxious. A lot of us would really like to see the Yellow team gone!”Brian: “A lot of people seem to have problems with me, but if they can’t handle me, it’s their problem. I understand I’m a BIG personality, and I’m a lot to take in. Oh well, their loss.”Gem confronts Brian outside a hut. Gem: “Brian…”Brian: “What?”Gem: “Are you NOT understanding what you’re doing?!”
Brian looks at her with a confused look plastered on his face: “What I’m doing?”
Gem: “You’re being obnoxious!”
Brian: “Excuse me, ‘partner’… Aren’t you supposed to support and be there for me?!”
Gem: “I’m not going to dig myself a hole and support the way you treat everyone!”
Brian: “Whatever…”Brian: “I have no clue why Gem’s yelling at me! I don’t see her doing anything to help this team! Sorry, hon, but you’re not the queen of the island. Take a freaking step off your throne.”Gem: “Brian is ignorant. I regret being matched up with him, because he’s what will lose this game for us.” -Commercial Break.- Around noon-time, JD and the seven remaining teams gather at mission beach for the next challenge. JD: “How’s it going everyone? Welcome to the second challenge of The Spirits Speak. This challenge is a real test of strength, and you will all have to find every ounce of will and determination in your body to win. I’m sure you want to know what the challenge is now.” Group: “Yeah.” “Yes.” “Sure.” JD: “The way this challenge works is there are four stations on shore, each twenty feet apart. You’ll begin the challenge at the first station with your team-colored cart, which by itself weighs 100 pounds. You’ll drag that to the second station where you will add a 50 pound weight into the cart, and drag that down the beach. At the third station you will add two 50 pound weights, and drag that to the third station. There you will add three 50 pound weights. By this time you will be dragging 400 pounds down the beach to the finish. The first team to cross the finish line earns seven pine cones, second place earns six, third earns five, and so on. Everybody understand the rules?” Group: “Yeah.” JD: “Okay, let’s hop on into position.” All seven teams stand at their starting line. JD: “On your marks… get set… GO!” All teams begin pushing and pulling their cart down the beach, with Blue team and Green team nearly tied for the lead, and Red and Gray not far behind. JD: “Look at them go! So far it looks as if Green team’s in the lead, but Blue is just a few inches behind them. Here comes Red, Gray and Brown, though, all coming on strong!” Brown team overtakes Red and Gray, moving into third place. Oliver screams at Carla: “Go! Go! Pull!”
Carla: “I’m pulling!”Nike: “We’re doing good, Lola, we’re doing great! Keep going!”JD: “Almost everyone is at the first stage, except for the Yellow team. They’re still back near the starting line!” Yellow remains in the back of the pack, while Gray, Brown, and Green continue leading the pack, all reaching the second stage. JD: “Who’s gonna win?!” Minutes pass, and it has come down to a race for first between Green, Gray, and Brown teams. Red and Blue are on their heels, while Orange and Yellow remain in their dust. Tristen: “Push it!” She screams, giving the cart a final push and sending it over the finish line! “YES!”James: “Oh my gosh, we won!”James and Tristen hug, just as Brown crosses the finish, followed by Gray, Red, and Blue. JD: “Five teams have finished the race, and two teams are left to battle it out for last and second-to-last!” Several more minutes pass, culminating in the Orange team and Yellow team mere feet from the finish. Yvette: “We SO have this, just PUSH!”Yellow team gives one final, brutal push, sending their cart over the finish line! Brian: “Yes!” He and Gem hug. “And,” he adds angrily, “Maybe if you tried a little harder we would have finished earlier…”
Gem: “Shut up, Brian!”Gem: “Oh my gosh… I HATE him!”JD: “This challenge is over! Green team came in first, and Orange team came in last. We’ll meet up at the Temple of Spirits later on tonight. For now, go back to the huts and pack for the trip. I’ll see you up at temple.” -Commercial Break.- Back at the huts… Blake: “My team, Orange, came in last place in the challenge today, so there’s a pretty good chance that we could be going home.”Blake folds a shirt: “You think we’re leaving?”
Yvette nods: “Either us or Yellow.”
Blake: “I just WISH we had pulled out that win. It would be great if Yellow team left tonight.”Yvette: “By coming in last place, our fate is pretty much sealed. I just hope we can get lucky tonight and stay in the game.”Before the hike to the Temple of Spirits, some teams stop to do a confessional. Lola: “I’m not really worried about going home. At first I really wanted to leave, but now that me and my partner are on somewhat better terms, I’m hoping we can go all the way and win.”Gem: “I am so scared about going to the temple. I’ll be disappointed if we lose, but at least I’ll have Brian out of my hair.”Drew: “Blue team did well at the mission, so I’m almost positive we’re staying here. It’s looking like Orange or Yellow will be going home, and if Yellow does, that will be a great moment, because we all hate them.”Sunset arrives, and all the teams arrive at the Temple. JD: “Hey everyone. Welcome to the Temple of the Spirits. As you all know, one team will be leaving the island in just a few moments.” JD holds up a bag full of pine cones and dumps them into the mouth of the Tiki God. The eyes light up, and it spits out a pine cone. JD: “The first team staying in this game is… Green!” Green team hugs and smiles at each other. JD reads the next name: “Blue!” Drew and Kari hug. JD reads the next two: “Brown!” “Gray!” As Brown and Gray celebrate, JD reads off the next safe team: “Yellow!” Many faces sink. Carla: “I was pretty upset when I saw that Brian was still in the game… I sort of hate him…”JD: “Well, five teams are safe. Two are still standing. It’s coming down to either the Orange team or the Red team- Who will be leaving the island forever?” Luis and Mandy and Blake and Yvette stare apprehensively at the large Tiki God, wondering what fate has in store for them. JD: “The team that is staying is… Orange! I’m sorry, Red team, but you’ve been eliminated from the game.” Mandy: “Oh my- what?” she cries into Luis’ shoulder, and Luis tries to calm her.Luis: “Well, it’s been fun, I guess. Thanks.”Luis and Mandy solemnly walk to the burning cauldron of fire, step behind it, and disappear into the flames. JD: “Well, two down, five to go. I’ll see you all tomorrow for the next challenge. Have a nice night’s sleep.” The group walks out of the temple to head back to their huts… NEXT TIME ON THE SPIRITS SPEAK!Two teams form a secret alliance… Kari: “So all four of us, working together?” And a surprise at temple shocks the teams! Yvette: “Oh my God! That was the one thing I didn’t want to happen…” Oliver: “Oh my gosh…” All this and more on the next Spirits Speak!

The Spirits Speak Episode 5: A Perfect Plan PREVIOUSLY ON THE SPIRITS SPEAK! Brian began to rub all the teams the wrong way, including his partner! Drama erupted between Gem and Brian, causing them to fall apart in the challenge and face elimination. At the temple of spirits everyone was shocked when it was the Red team, Luis and Mandy, who were eliminated! Today another team leaves the island. Find out who it will be on The Spirits Speak! -Theme Song- Brown: Nike & LolaGreen: James & TristenBlue: Drew & KariGray: Oliver & CarlaOrange: Blake & YvetteYellow: Brian & GemBlue team and Gray team are the first up early the next morning, and sneak off to a clearing deeper in the woods. Kari: “So all four of us, working together?”Carla: “Yeah, we really need to get Yellow off.”Oliver: “Ha-ha, so if there’s any way we can somehow work the game in our favor-”Drew: “Do it.”Drew: “Blue team and Gray team are great friends, so we all agreed to keep each other safe. If there’s a way that we can keep each other in the game, we will.”Carla: “I trust the Blue team. I just don’t see any way that they’d want to backstab us!”Kari: “Blue and Gray, we both kind of think the same way. We’re not into the lying, the backstabbing, or anything like that. We just want to have fun playing the game, and get Yellow off!”Oliver: “I think Blue and Gray can take this thing to the end.” -Commercial Break.- Challenge time arrives later in the day. JD Roth is waiting on the beach for the six remaining teams to arrive. JD: “Hey everyone!” Group: “What’s up?” “Hey.” “Morning.” JD: “I hope you’re all ready for your next challenge, because it’s going to get tough. The premise is simple enough: You will all head out to the water, go under, and hold your breath for as long as possible. Over time you will subdue to the pain and come up for air, eliminating yourself from the game. The last person remaining under the water wins the challenge for their team. Does everyone understand the rules?” Group: “Yes.” JD: “Then get on into position.” The twelve participants wade into the water, and stand about 15 feet off shore where the water is around 5 feet deep. JD: “On your marks, get set, GO!” Slowly, twelve heads dip under the water. Almost immediately, Gem panics and comes out of the water! Gem: “Crap!”Brian: “Urghh! Gem ruins EVERYTHING! I mean, seriously, every single challenge she’s been in she’s sucked.”JD: “Gem is out, leaving Yellow team with just one member playing for them.” The next to come out of the water are Blake, Kari, and Yvette. JD: “Orange team is the first team out, meaning they get just one pine cone for tonight.” Yvette: “Sorry, Blake!”
Blake: “Me too.”They hug and take a seat on shore next to JD. Blake: “I was so depressed about coming in last place AGAIN. I’m starting to think the spirits are against us!”Moments later Brian, Tristen, and Nike all rise above the surface of the water, taking Yellow out of the running. Brian growls: “NO! Why couldn’t you just hold your dang breath, Gem?”
Gem: “Maybe I want to go home so I won’t have to deal with you!”JD: “It looks like Yellow team is having a bit of inter-team drama. We’ll see how that affects the Temple tonight.” One minute into the challenge, Oliver and James return from the depths of the lake, eliminating green from the challenge. JD: “Now it’s all down to only two teams! If Lola comes up next, Gray team wins. If Carla comes up next, Brown team wins. Who will win this challenge?” Nike: “Brown!”Nike: “I was biting my fingernails when it was between Carla and Lola. So stressful!”Suddenly a girl in a Brown shirt comes out of the water crying. Oliver stands and screams: “YES!”
Carla comes out of the water in a dazed state: “Did we win?” She looks around. “Yay!”Carla runs out of the water and gives Oliver a hug. JD: “Okay, everyone. Come on over here. Here are the standings going into the Temple of Spirits- Orange has one pine cone, Yellow has two, Green has three, Blue has four, Brown has five, and Gray has six. I’ll see you all later on tonight for the elimination. See you then.” -Commercial Break.- After the challenge Yvette approaches Blake in the huts where he was talking with James and Tristen. Yvette: “Umm, James, Tristen- Can you two get out for a minute?”Tristen rolls her eyes: “Whatever…”Tristen and James leave the hut. Yvette: “Blake…”
Blake: “What?”
Yvette: “We are in SERIOUS trouble. We NEED to think of a way to save ourselves!”
Blake: “I’m confused. How can we save ourselves?”
Yvette: “I have a way.” She leans closer with a cunning grin plastered on her face. “Yellow team.”
Blake: “Huh?”Yvette: “Well, basically I thought of a genius plan! I call it ‘operation yellow destruction’. You see, Gem and Brian hate each other with passion, and they would do anything to get away from each other. So… maybe we could persuade them to quit at the temple, so that means Blake and I are guaranteed top five! It’s a perfect plan!”
Blake: “Yvette constructed a plan to get Yellow out of the game. I doubt it will work, but it’s worth a try. I know she’s just doing this to stay in the game, but it is kind of unsettling realizing that she has this totally manipulative side!” he laughs. “I need to remember that!"Yvette: “So what do you think?”
Blake: “I… I guess.”Yvette, Blake, Gem and Brian are sitting in a circle around the dead camp fire. Yvette: “So, like… Wow. You guys really hate each other don’t you?”Gem: “Kind of, yes.”
Brian: “Obviously.”
Gem: “Be quiet.”
Brian: “I don’t think you have the authority to give orders, Gem, especially after you totally blew that whole challenge for us.”
Gem: “Excuse me?!-”The fight continues, and Yvette looks on, giggling. Yvette: “It’s working…”Yvette sneaks off to talk with Gem. Yvette: “I’m not telling who, but I heard that Brian’s been saying some pretty bad things about you.”Gem: “Like what?”Yvette: “I honestly don’t think I can say them in front of the camera, but let’s just say they’re not the type of thing you say to someone you’ve known for four days.”Gem begins sobbing and Yvette comforts her. Gem: (crying) “I hate the way this game’s turned out! I just wish I could leave this island and get away from him…” -Commercial Break.- At sunset the teams trek to the temple of fate deep within the forest. They soon arrive, and JD has a bag of pine cones for the Great Tiki God. JD: “Welcome to the Temple of Spirits. So far we’ve had to say good-bye to two teams up here, and we’re about to say good-bye to another. We’re about to find out who…” JD dumps the pine cones into the mouth of the Tiki God. The Tiki God’s eyes light up, and one pine cone is spit out. JD picks it up and reads. JD: “The first team safe from elimination is… Yellow.” Several contestants gasp and show shocked faces. Yvette: “Oh my God! That was the one thing I didn’t want to happen…”JD: “That was definitely a shock! Good job, Yellow team, you’re safe. Now, the next team safe is… Brown!” Brown team hugs. JD: “Next… Green!” Green team hugs and join Brown and Yellow on seats in the back. JD: “The next team safe from elimination is… Blue.” Blue hugs. JD: “And then there were two. It’s now down to either Orange team or Gray team going home. Gray team, who came in first in today’s mission, and Orange, who came in last. Will Gray team’s strength be enough to bring them through, or will fate and luck keep Orange in? We’re about to find out.” Oliver whispers under his breath: “Please, please, please…”JD: “The team that is staying in the game is… Orange! I’m sorry, Gray team, but you’ve been eliminated.” Carla, shocked: “What?”Oliver: “Oh my gosh…”JD: “I’m sorry, Gray, but you’ve got to leave the island immediately.” Oliver sobs: “Bye everyone.”Kari cries hysterically: “Bye Oliver, bye Carla!”Oliver and Carla stand behind the cauldron of fire and vanish into the flames. JD: “I know that was a real shock. It’s the first time a team that has won the challenge was eliminated, but it just goes to show that fate can bring down even the strongest of teams. Good-night and I’ll see you all tomorrow.” NEXT TIME ON THE SPIRITS SPEAK!We take a look back at the first four days on the island. The drama, the lies, the alliances, and the competition! We’ll also show you what’s yet to come on the last half of the season! All this and more on the next Spirits Speak!

The Spirits Speak Episode 6: The First Four Days TODAY ON A SPECIAL EPISODE OF THE SPIRITS SPEAK! We take a look back at the first four days on the island! We’ll show you the most exciting, the most dramatic, and the most insane moments of the game! We’re going to also show you some never-before-seen footage, PLUS we’ll reveal a sneak peak of what’s yet to come on The Spirits Speak!-Theme Song- 8 Teams Brian and Gem scream at each other. A girl in orange storms out of a hut. 10 Challenges Green cheers as they pull a cart over the finish line. Lola tackles Tristen for a ball. A purple raft sinks. 2 Champions Blue team hugs in the temple. -Theme Song- *It all started bright and early on day one*Sixteen kids are rowing canoes to a small island on lake Michigan. Gabrielle: “I’m Gabrielle, thirteen, from Kingsville, Texas.” Luis: “Luis, fifteen years old, Gresham, Oregon.” Yvette: “My name’s Yvette, I’m fourteen years old, and I come from Orlando, Florida. I’m one of the biggest girly-girls you’ll ever meet, but that doesn’t mean I won’t step it up in the competition.” *Sixteen contestants arrived on the island, and were immediately thrust into the partner mission. It was a brutal challenge of determination and endurance, and in the end it was won by Lola! However, simply winning a challenge on The Spirits Speak doesn’t always mean things will go your way.* JD: ““Remember, the first name out chooses their partner and color. Everyone ready?” The Tiki God’s eyes light up, and several odd noises come from the sculpture. JD: “The Tiki God has chosen… Zach!” JD: “Zach, congrats on getting your pine cone pulled first! You now get to choose any one of these girls to be your partner. Who’s it gonna be?” Zach: “Well…” he looks around at all the girls. “I think I’m gonna have to go with Gabrielle.” JD: “Now, the second person selected by the Tiki God is…” The kids look on anxiously as a pine cone is spit out of the Tiki’s mouth. JD: “Luis!” Lola looks down, depressed. JD: “The Tiki God has chosen… Nike!” *But things were quickly gonna go from bad to worse for Lola.*JD: “So, Nike- Who is your partner going to be?” Nike stares at each of the girls sitting in the room: “I’m going to pick Lola and Brown.” Lola: “I can’t believe I got Nike! Oh my gosh, this is awful. I did NOT hang on that ring for over 30 minutes just to get the weakest guy here!”JD: “Lola, you don’t seem too happy at this..” Lola: “Whatever, I’m fine.” *In the end, the temple meeting was over and the eight official teams were formed!* Purple: Zach & GabrielleRed: Luis & MandyBrown: Nike & LolaGreen: James & TristenBlue: Drew & KariGray: Oliver & CarlaOrange: Blake & YvetteYellow: Brian & Gem*And while many were happy with their partner,*Zach: “Yesterday at the Temple of Spirits I got my pine cone pulled first, which feels great! That meant I got the exact partner I want, and I feel we’re going to do fantastic!”*Others weren’t so happy*Lola: “I HATE NIKE! I HATE HIM, I HATE HIM, I HATE HIM!”
Nike: “Lola is really upset now. I mean, it’s completely understandable, and I don’t take it personally. She won the first challenge, and didn’t get her pine cone pulled from the Tiki, which is not fair.”
Lola: “I am not satisfied with this at all! I played my heart out in the first challenge!!”*But if they wanted any chance of staying in the game, they would have to be able to work together in the first team challenge.*JD: “Welcome to your very first elimination mission of The Spirits Speak. The team that wins this challenge earns eight pine cones, the team that comes in second earns seven, the team that gets third earns six, and so on. We’ll take those offerings up to the Temple of Spirits, and the Tiki God will eliminate one team from the game forever. That is why it is extremely important to come in first place.” *In the mission, yellow team surged ahead while brown fell behind. However, in a shocking elimination, the purple team was banished from the island, leaving seven teams left to compete.* -Commercial Break.- *The next morning, several teams felt upset about the Purple team’s elimination.*Carla: “I’m not sure what to think about Purple team going home last night. I was good friends with both of them, and we liked to hang out and laugh, but also, they were a threat. It’s kind of good that one of the strong teams is out so early, but I’m gonna miss them.”Kari: “It was weird seeing the Purple team leave. I liked them, and they were great people, and what happened to them wasn’t fair. They were a strong team, and before we even played a team challenge they were labeled as dangerous, and targeted immediately.”*But others weren’t so sympathetic.*Brian: “Isn’t this great?”Mandy: “Isn’t what great?”Brian: “Purple’s OUT of here!” he laughs. “I HATED them!”Mandy: “Brian is SO annoying! He’s constantly irritating us, trying to pick fights for no reason, and being obnoxious. A lot of us would really like to see the Yellow team gone!”*And as Brian began ruffling feathers, the team with the most problems changed from Brown to Yellow.*Gem: “Are you NOT understanding what you’re doing?!”
Brian: “What I’m doing?”
Gem: “I’m not going to dig myself a hole and support your cruel attitude towards the other teams! Dude, you are RUINING this team and you’re too stupid to realize it!”
Brian: “I’m not being cruel, and YOU are the one who can’t pull your weight in a freaking challenge!”Gem: “Brian is ignorant. I regret being matched up with him, because he’s what will lose this game for us.” -Commercial Break.- *With the Yellow team so disconnected, the next challenge was sure to be rough for them, especially as it involved both strength and teamwork. In a difficult test of endurance, Green, Brown, and Gray battled it out for the lead, and it was Green who came in first. Meanwhile, the Orange and Yellow teams fell behind and were left in their dust.*Blake folds a shirt: “You think we’re leaving?”
Yvette nods: “Either us or Yellow.”
Blake: “I just WISH we had pulled out that win. It would be great if Yellow team left tonight.”*With Orange certain they were going home, they were packed and ready to leave, but at the temple the Red team was blind-sided and sent packing!*Mandy: “Oh my- what?” she cries into Luis’ shoulder, and Luis tries to calm her.
Luis: “Well, it’s been fun. Thanks.”*The next day the final six teams were prepared to do battle. Close friends Gray and Blue forged an alliance in the wee hours of the morning, unbeknownst to the other teams.*Kari: “So all four of us, working together?”Carla: “Yeah, we really need to get Yellow off.”Oliver: “Ha-ha, so if there’s any way we can somehow work the game in our favor-”Drew: “Do it.”*However, despite their inspiring first place finish and newly-formed alliance, the Gray team was the next to be cut from the island!*--- *Now, just five teams remain!*Lola: “They’re goin’ home, boy!” she laughs.Yvette: “Oh well, yellow’s gone tonight. I can feel it.”JD: “Yellow thinks they’ve got their puzzle done. Oh, but so does Blue! Who’ll get theirs done first?” Yvette: “I WANT TO WIN! I WANT TO COME IN FIRST PLACE, AND NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO WORRY ABOUT!”Blake: “I know, but-"
Yvette: “I KNOW WHAT I WANT! NO BUTS! I WANT TO WIN!”Tristen: “YELL LOUDER, JAMES!”
James: “Come on, Tristen, THIS WAY! THIS WAY!”*** NEXT TIME ON THE SPIRITS SPEAK!Yellow and Orange do battle to stay in the game. JD: “Orange is pretty much lost in this challenge.” Blake: “Urgh! Oh my gosh!”Gem: “Dude, hurry up!”
Brian: “Why don’t YOU do something?”And the remaining contestants are shocked by one team's actions. Tristen: "I didn't see that coming..."All this and more on the next Spirits Speak!
