ok i am only posting this here because they agreed to help endurance if we help there show
As we enter week 8 of the run on the CW, we need to stay focused. Writing out letters and cards and completing the Feedback forms are more important than ever.
Last week ratings were up to 1,560,000 which was a 300,000 increase from the week before. Our target is to have 2 million watching by the end of May. When football ends in 2 weeks we should see the 7:00pm to 7:30pm numbers climb up to the 7:30-8:00pm level.
I want to thank all the Rangers who are currently working on the marketing/posting project to every newspaper, tv station and community/college Board we can reach in the US.
Rangers are encouraged to spread the word via My Space and Face Book as much as possible and also sign up for Craig's List.
Remember we need to get letters out to Bonnie Hammer at NBC, Nancy Tellem as CBS Paramount and complete the Feedback forms for CBS and the CW. Also remember to contact your local Affiliate.
We have a new target. Thanks to Ratkeeper, NorsU and K6 for their work and suggestions we are targeting Mark Greenberg at epix the new pay cable channel being launched which will look to show original programming from CBS Paramount and will compete against HBO and Showtime.
If Jericho gets picked up on epix for new episodes, CBS then could show the episodes on the CW much like NBC is doing with Friday night Lights (thanks NorsU for suggestion). It makes good business sense. We want to make a busniess case for picking up Jericho if epix gets off the launching pad and starts to show original programming.
Stay the Course and Keep the Faith we have 22 more episodes to go.

Re: Jericho on epix
Mr. Greenberg:
I am writing to you as a fan of the television show Jericho that is currently running on the CW network and is owned by CBS Paramount.
As you know the CBS Network canceled Jericho twice because the Nielsen ratings did not hit the number the finance department projected.
The Nielsen ratings for season 1 ended up in the 9 million range and by the time Season 2 was launched they were in the 6 million plus range. When DVR adjusted numbers were factored in the ratings were over 7 million for Jericho.
CBS made several key mistakes with Jericho. First and foremost it never promoted or marketed Jericho properly. Second they put the show on a 12 week hiatus without letting people know when the show would be back causing several million viewers to stop watching the show. In addition, it never took advantage of cross distribution of the show on its stable of cable channels such as CMT the CW or Spike as NBC did with Heros.
Since Jericho was cancelled for the second time in March of 2008, the Jericho Fans have been trying to work with CBS Paramount to find a new Network home for Jericho.
As part of that effort the fans raised over $30,000 which has been used to purchase ads in Variety and the Hollywood Reporter, leasing a billboard outside CBS Paramount studios and designing, producing and airing a fan made television as which was run on Time Warner Cable in LA in June and September 2008 and on the UHD (NBC Universal) HD channel in December 2008 and January 2009.
We have also been tracking the numbers since the middle of November when we implanted our plan for promoting Jericho and getting the word out that Jericho was going to start a run on the CW.
As part of that marketing effort, we have worked with thousands of people across the country in a grass roots effort to get the word out to get people to watch Jericho on the CW each Sunday but also to make sure they get counted.
We have dozens of people posting to every newspaper, tv station, community and college Forum/Board with a containing a message with links to the CW, the UHD Community Board, Save Jericho Again (www.savejerichoagain.com) where the tv commercial can be seen and to Youtube where Season 1 episodes were released by CBS in late October and which have had approximately 1,100,000 views to date. In addition, we have people putting the links up on My Space and Face Book and passing the word to thousands of loyal fans.
As an executive who is responsible for launching a new venture I am sure you can appreciate finding and developing loyal viewers who will not only pay for your channel but will help it grow and mature. Jericho Fans have proven that they are a resource that can help in marketing the new channel and help it grow sales in the millions.
If you look at the current ratings on the CW, you will see that week 1 on November 30, 2008 had 1,260,000 viewers, which has increased to 1,560,000 for the week of January 4, 2009. This increase was 300,000 over the prior week and comes despite the Holiday Season and the NFL games and playoffs spill over into the 7:00pm-7:30pm time slot.
Epix is the perfect place for Jericho as the million of fans who watched on CBS and the millions more who watched the show on the Internet and purchased the show on I-tunes will sign up for epix in droves. As a matter of cost, the Jericho sets are still intact, 29 prior episodes have already been produced and a story line is already in place. With CBS Paramount owning Jericho it makes it the right choice and most economical choice to produce several more seasons with 13 to 15 episodes of Jericho.
Please consider picking up Jericho and putting it on epix. You will have thousands if not millions of new customers overnight. If we have demonstrated one thing the past 10 months it is that we are a consumer group crossing all demographic groups who are interested in quality scripted drams with great writing and acting and many will be willing to pay to get that quality programming.
