In the Casting Special, some contestants who made the final forty were shown, but ultimately not chosen.
Diving down the archives, here's some of them!
Alyssa (15, California): Alyssa would be at home on Endurance because she loves the water and competition. She combines both in one of her favorite pastimes, playing water polo at her school.
Armand (13, California): Basketball is Armand's life, but he could still find time to go to Hawaii because he is a real Endurance fanatic.
Danny (15, Texas): Danny likes to work out, and isn't afraid to show off, but he also enjoys playing guitar when he's not "pumping up!"
Donal (14, Massachusetts): Donal is a hockey player and drummer who prefers 70's rock-and-roll to modern pop or rap.
Farrah (15, Texas): Outspoken and outgoing, Farrah would do almost anything to get on Endurance, including taking a swim in her pool filled with 50-degree water!
Jarron (14, Tennessee): This Tennessee native is a big reality buff and would give anything for the chance to be on Endurance.
Jenny (15, Arizona): Although Jenny looks girlie, she's a tough competitor and BMX rider.
Jordan (14, Florida): Jordan is a Lacrosse player who is not afraid to take a hit to make the play. He lives on a lake in Florida, so he thinks life on a beach in Hawaii wouldn't be too much of a stretch.
Josh (15, Illinois): Josh's favorite sport is basketball, and he hopes the same luck that helped him sink a 30-foot shot from his balcony will help him land a spot on Endurance.
Julie (13, New Hampshire) Julie may be small, but man, she's got a set of lungs! If she doesn't go to Hawaii to compete on Endurance, she'll be singing the National Anthem at a Red Sox game. (sounds familiar?)
Kaycie (13, California): Kaycie says her middle name is "Adventure." That's because Kaycie is a fun and daring girl who never, ever turns down a challenge.
Michaela (14, Oregon): Michaela is queen of IM, chatting with a dozen or more friends at a time. But she's willing to give it all up for a chance to compete on Endurance.
Mikie (13, California): Mikie (pronounced ma-key-ay) is smart, athletic and loves a challenge — so she thinks Endurance would be perfect for her!
Peter (12, California): As one of the youngest finalists, the word fear is definitely not in Peter's vocabulary. He thinks he can be a strong competitor on Endurance and has no problem going head to head with the toughest 15 year olds. (He became a pilot and ended up on The Bachelor!)
Sarah L. (15, Utah): Sarah L. is a real mountain girl who enjoys cheerleading, fencing and hiking.
Starr (15, California): Starr is never short of energy or enthusiasm, and at only 4-feet, 9 1/2-inches tall, Starr is living proof that big things come in small packages.
Stefanie (14, Florida): Whether it's tap dancing or taking care of her pet birds, Stefanie with an "f" is always on the go. Although she's never been to Hawaii, she would love to go and has her entire room decorated in a Hawaiian theme
Summer (13, Texas): Summer may look short and sweet, but just wait until you get her on a soccer field! When winning is on the line, she turns into one tough competitor.
Tyree (14, Illinois): Tyree is another athletic teen who would never double-cross a friend — unless there's a cute girl involved!
Zane (15, Montana): Zane is an all-around athlete, playing soccer, baseball, basketball and tennis. He also loves to go mountain biking, rock climbing and swimming — at least when he can during those short Montana summers!
