In our little community, the third placer is usually the fan-favorite, as they managed to make it quite far (for some cases, against all odds), but somehow fell short. However, not all Endurance third-placers are the same, so how would perceptions of their seasons change had they won?
E1 Red (Christian and Ashley): As much as they were a fan favorite, I don't think they would've deserved to win. Sure, Ashley is smarter than sometimes we give her credit for, but they didn't have the missions wins Blue had nor the strategic influence Yellow did. I'd be a bit more confident that Endurance would see another season because they didn't have that villainous edge Yellow had, but what other virtues did they bring?
E2 Orange (Tyler and Michelle): Imagine wanting to go home on the first day, and then winning it all. That would be an interesting arc for Tyler, and would've further vindicated his decision to throw out the Samadhi in Aqueduct. Plus, it would be an inspiring story as Michelle would then win a trip for her mother, and had won despite the struggles in the beginning. especially with the competition they would have, their win would be quite remarkable.
E3 Yellow (Monroe and Bryanah): Endurance would've won that Emmy, there would be a lot more hype towards the show, it would've stayed on NBC's morning programming for a few more years. Monroe and Bryanah would be minor celebrities, get recruited to almost any avaliable reality TV show at 18, and the world would be a better place.
E4 Green (Isaac and Jeszie): This is an interesting one. Any of Tehachapi's top three would be worthy winners, though I think Green winning would be the most anti-climatic. As the strongest team in the competition, they were almost expected to win, right up until their elimination. In addition, I have a feeling they were the least-liked amongst that top three? Considering how abrasive Jeszie could get and their big fight in Hang 5, I think people would respect their victory, but not necessarily love it. Correct me if I'm wrong.
E5 Blue (Connor and Taylor): Same as with e3 Yellow, in that they symbolize the underdogs winning against a more powerful alliance. However, some people might be rubbed off by how they sold out Gray in the process, which breaks Mats' theory on every winner being loyal to their alliance. And it would almost defy how J.D. tried to promote karma on the show. Yet there's a counterargument in that Blue never truly had an alliance, and had to fight for their survival through it all. For PROG, it would be the ultimate karma, in that the team they switched defeated them all. (also, if Taylor got the Flo from TAR 3 treatment, I'm throwing hands)
E6 Red (Hannah and Jonathan): Another case of karma, in that Green and Orange deceived their alliance, only for them to come out on top. Their arc in how they had their arguments, but still learned to come out on top, also consolidated what we learned from e1 Green or e2 Orange--we might not like whom we're working with, but we have to work with them, nevertheless. (Also, imagine having an endurance champion on Survivor? Haha)
