I'm going down the rabbit hole of archived websites, and some of the Behind the Scenes stuff are saved. Here are some of the highlights.
-- From Lilly: "After JD said, "Where you guys will be sleeping is unlike any place you've slept in before." he said "you're gonna be sleeping.. right here." we were like ohhh man! no way! and then he said just kidding." Reminds me of Hang Glide from Tehachapi.
--"The morning of the Right to Stay, JD told us when we met up with him that the challenge would take speed, balance, and agility. So we had an idea if we would do well or not- I think that's why Aric said he needed the pass cause he didn't think he had good balance." Interesting...
--The boys talked about who would be spared from the RTS for hours...apparently, Taylor and Ike argued about how to choose which boy would get the free pass (was this a sign that they wouldn't get along? This is according to Rafael, I think)
--Ike was supposed to be with Aeriel (I've also realized how little racial diversity there was after the RTS--it's offputting, especially looking at it today. No conspiracies, just an observation), but when Dakota said he would be with Kelsey, he got put into the "mystical square" (How hard is it to get an interview with Dakota? He would have a lot to say, assuming he remembers it all)
--According to Connor: "I think after Alex and Cealey were selected, and Garrett knew officially that he wasn't gonna have her as a partner, he turned to the rest of the guys still partnerless and said "guys put me with Anna if you can." Then Ike said "put me with Taylor if you can." So when we had the last two girls and guys to decide, it seemed like that was the best way to do it, even though I know it was a common assumption that Taylor and Garrett would be partners."
--Hanging Around was a failure of a challenge--it only lasted two minutes tops.
--The contestants of the show only learned the name of that season when J.D. announced the grand prize of that season (originally, it was supposed to be Endurance: Shaver Lake. Doesn't ring a bell...)
--A couple of the rings snapped in Unwind.
--Darci's mom made bead necklaces for each of the colors, which the other girls wore.
--Lilly thought about throwing out the Samadhi, but they weren't allowed to because they already knew the stakes (and according to the poll, throwing it out was the most popular option)
--Orange initially volunteered to switch their team.
--Lilly: "We had seen [Walk the Plank] getting put up all weekend, but Grady (a producer) said it was going to be a land mission. He was lying just so we wouldn't know what the mission was going to be like 3 days in advance. He apologized before we started lol"
--Taylor put on chapstick during Walk the Plank. Relatable.
--The Temple wasn't that far from the treehouses (which reminds me of a tidbit about the e1 ToF being only a minute-long hike up a hill, haha. Hence the re-takes of them walking)
--The contestants played "dress up as your partner", and tried to shoot Fill and Spill still in their partner's clothes. It was shut down.
--According to Connor, "Up at the ridge, JD had us close our eyes and by a show of hands see how many people think Dakota is running the show. 9 out of 12 people raised their hands, and JD said neither of them were Kelsey or Dakota" And the third?
