You have the full addresses of some of the contestants in that map. Are those real, or did you just use those to help split the markers apart when several contestants had the same home city?
There are lots of memorable contestants from Massachusetts...even the ones who left early had interesting stories. Karma continued the Massachusetts trend, with both Skyla and Justin being from there.

So the full addresses are for contestants that lived in the exact same city. If I just typed the city in, the arrows would go directly over each other. So what I did is click somewhere in the same city so the arrow wouldn’t be on top, and it just assigned that an address. The actual address is arbitrary.
Off the top of my head, the contestants that lived closest to each other on the same season were Lauren and Briana (10 minutes), Annie and Jacquelynn (14 minutes), Lana and Trevor/Jon (14 minutes), Lana to Jenna (20 minutes), and Max and Layla (20 minutes).

In terms of teams, Lindi was technically from either Valrico (I think) or Brandon which are both a bit east of Tampa, but that's minor stuff. Her teammate was from near Jacksonville. They're from the same state...Lana and Trevor have them beat, as they're both from Chicago. There've gotta be others. The one that always interested me a bit was Vanetta. She said Cleveland and I think JD went to her house/apartment during the casting special, but I thought she had moved to LA by the time the show was on the air. |

It amuses me that two major underdog queens (Taylor and Bryanah) are from the Boston metropolitan area, and they've had similar arcs in their respective seasons. Haha. Other observations I noted: --Arizona had three contestants on e1 (Chelsea, Jonna, and Skyler), but only one in the remaining five seasons (Keith, from Tehachapi) --Similarly, Chicago, Illinois was overrepresented on e1 (Jon and Trevor are from Chicago proper, whereas Lana and Jenna are from suburbs). --States w/o endurance contestants: Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Tennessee (I'm honestly surprised, coming to think of it), Utah (rip Mats), Vermont, and West Virginia (I'm curious about why casting hasn't gotten anybody from outside the continental United States--would it be too hard?) --States with only one contestant who competed: Alabama (Jonathan e6), Indiana (Lilly), Kentucky (Reece), Maine (Dakota), Michigan (Hannah), Missouri (Max e5), Nebraska (Cinnamon), Nevada (Demian), New Hampshire (Julie), Ohio (Vanetta--though she might have moved to LA between casting and the premiere), Pennsylvania (Shane), South Carolina (Kylie), South Dakota (Aric), Virginia (Keetin), Washington (Willa--woe is me), and Wyoming (Anna). --In another Massachusetts tidbit, they really made up for not having any contestants in the first two seasons, haha! --Still amused how the closest to anybody representing the Bay Area (San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose...) was Simone from e2. Similarly, we got contestants from all across Florida, but none from Miami (Daniela and Stefanie both hailed from Boca Raton, which is two hours north). --Philadelphia doesn't have any contestants hail from there either--interesting indeed... |
