Just finished watching with some discord friends. What are the odds Jack's flight broke down? I would assume he would have otherwise already been close to home when Harrison left. Shoutout to Jack being a Survivor super fan. I wonder how long this alliance (or partnership I believe they called it) is gonna last. I swear Justin looks like two different people with and without glasses. Karma coins totally had fire token vibes haha. And my friend literally called the Cave being in the style of the final temple mission on Endurance. I've actually heard that even if you're eliminated, you stay at the hotel (probably in Fresno) until the 3 weeks are over. Although I'm not sure if that's true, it makes sense.

I'm pretty sure that's what happened in Endurance with the RTS kids, but I'm not too sure about Karma's RTS kids.

I can't even imagine what that costs during the middle of summer. I wonder why.

I'm TERRIBLE with names... The red team girl SO MUCH reminds me of Ashley...like they could be sisters.
Adren could definitely hang out with Scooter. He seems like he could be a second coming of Scooter.
Then there's Presley who kind of reminds me of Cinnamon.
Only one mission in the episode and there was a LOT of hanging out and talking. It seems like there wasn't enough.

--Justin: "Because's I'm fourteen; I'm a growing man, testosterone is all over the place--it's natural!" Haha. --The closest thing we got to a truly homesick player was Tyler. I didn't think things were getting that bad to the point he would've left. What was so bad about Harrison's time there that made him want to leave? --Jack's greatest second chance! "And of course, I wanted me here!" --Adren is basically Scooter from e2 in this regard. --"It's like 110 degrees out here and I've got chills!" --Jack: "Having a partner whose first response is bawling her eyes out isn't always a great welcome." Daniela, Bryanah, please rise. --Jack: "I'm not an outdoors kid, but I've watched 38 seasons of Survivor, every single episode." --Presley: "And the only way to get out of it is to put good karma out there!" --Presley and Adren sounds like Scooter and Christa at this point in time. --"Don't forget about Orange Team!" --everyone targeting Green reminds me of Waterlogged from e1. I wish there was another part to the challenge like the latter, though. --Luke: "I'm not putting it in my own!" --We're not getting a Curse of the Gray Team this time! --Huck: "But we want to send a really strong team with them." I know what happened last time someone thought like that... --"My trust went from 100 to -0. Oh, sorry, -0 doesn't make sense-- -100!" --Was there any footage of this Green-Yellow alliance? Not seeing much, unless Jack is lying. --Jack vs. Sabrina--who wins in this circumstance? (assuming they're the same age, of course) --Skyla: "Tonight, we're living like it's our last, baby!" --The Cave of Karma made me appreciate the Temple of Fate a bit more--especially with the coins being given out. --We don't get a "coming back" montage?

--The closest thing we got to a truly homesick player was Tyler. I didn't think things were getting that bad to the point he would've left. What was so bad about Harrison's time there that made him want to leave? Harrison talked about being bullied and homeschooled in Episode 1. While Karma would be a big change for any teenager, I think it might have been an especially big change for him, possibly quite overstimulating in some ways.
Also, I get the sense that the camp could have been quite loud late into the night, and they might not have gotten a lot of sleep. Some people struggle with sleep deprivation more than others.
I'm just speculating - it might have been partly what I wrote above, or not at all.
--everyone targeting Green reminds me of Waterlogged from e1. I wish there was another part to the challenge like the latter, though. I do kind of like that this challenge didn't depend on a grip/strength at all, though - it was entirely about showing the pecking order. With hindsight, knowing how the challenge in the 4th episode goes, I'm glad no one had to hold up a bucket in this challenge. --Was there any footage of this Green-Yellow alliance? Not seeing much, unless Jack is lying. They briefly showed Green and Yellow talking outside on the log...I think Eli and Mack got along pretty well (of all the partnerships, at this stage Eli-Illia seemed to get along pretty well, better than Adren-Pressley and Huck-Sienna) but it was not a strong alliance (just wait for next episode though...). It was mostly a lie - but plausible/believable. --Jack vs. Sabrina--who wins in this circumstance? (assuming they're the same age, of course) Depends on their partners and the challenge! If it's a mental challenge, Jack probably wins (Sabrina was not great at House of Cards, Dial In, or Build a Pyramid). If it's a physical challenge, Sabrina probably wins, particularly if she still gets Jon as her partner. Now if you would give Jack E4 Erika (Skyla was strong as evidenced by her performance in Fit to Pick, but not Erika strong) and Sabrina someone like E2 David, maybe things are different - but I find it easiest to imagine each player with their actual partner.
Since the early part of the game in Endurance and Karma is mostly physical challenges, I think it would be advantage Sabrina at this stage.
--The Cave of Karma made me appreciate the Temple of Fate a bit more--especially with the coins being given out. Yeah, I ran some calculations on the Cave of Karma (see here), and I can't say I like it that much - particularly how if the teams have an even number of coins, it's not actually even odds that they will win. The coins are definitely good for drama.
I don't think I would have re-used the Temple of Fate for Karma, though. I think eliminations based on different non-physically-taxing games would potentially be interesting (like variants of Battleship or Mancala, perhaps). --We don't get a "coming back" montage? Just wait for Episode 3! They do them at the start of each episode rather than the end.
