This is the general discussion thread for all things Karma.
One thing I’m wondering is how old the contestants are going to look on camera. I feel like the camera adds a few years. For example, a lot of the Endurance contestants looked older than they actually were and you can see this in how in some post-show reunion pics, they actually look YOUNGER than on the show.
I also wonder how much of that is influenced by the age of the person watching. Whereas I was generally younger than the Endurance contestants while the show was airing (hence looking up to them - 15 year olds seemed SO OLD back then!) now I’m way older than the Karma cast so will that make their young age even more apparent?
On a completely unrelated note, I keep trying to get my 13 year old sister to apply for season 2. If I never got the chance to live out my Endurance dreams, you can do it for me!!

I would say that the whole camera-age thing won’t really do anything in Karma tbh. Because Endurance was filmed a long time ago, so I think the technology in the cameras may have possibly changed a lot. But I don’t know, the promo will for sure clear that up. To the people that will have the HBO Max app tomorrow, can y’all let us know if there is anything Karma related on there? I feel like they might release the second batch of HBO Max originals promos tomorrow or shortly after, so keep your eyes peeled!

I'm sure they'll use HD cameras. The old cameras certainly did tricks to people.

Apparently season 1 had 12,000 applicants!! Not bad for the inaugural season of a show

A little off topic, but I watched a few episodes of craftopia today to see what was up with it, since it was categorized with Karma. And let me point this out, I do like the show and it’s concept, but it’s editing seems a bit much at times, like they would always and random texts and it seemed a bit childish. But with that being said, I am probably not the target demographic for this show lol. But my point here is that I hope that Karma has a more “mature” vibe to it, because even Endurance was pretty mature and interesting to any age group. So I hope Karma still maintains the “competition” feel to it. And that they don’t do the absolute MOST with editing.

There isn’t actually a page for Karma on HBO Go yet. As for Craftopia, that show is aimed towards younger kids in Elementary school, so I don’t expect it to be polished or entertaining.

Did you go on and pony up the money to buy Max? Or how did you get it?

Did you go on and pony up the money to buy Max? Or how did you get it? Here in Canada, we don’t have access to HBO Max, but this other streaming service called Crave streams HBO shows and movies. And lucky for us, we got 3 max original series: Craftopia, Legendary and Love Life. Hopefully if they put Karma on Crave, I can find a way to share with y’all.

I recently just bought HBO Max on the 29th. Several week agos, I applied for the show and had 2 meetings. I'm waiting for the producer's response.. if there's no response I didn't get it. Craftopia's age range to be on the show is 10-14. Karma is 12-15. Let me know if you need further information. Wish me luck!!
