Short version...If you have an AT&T account, you should be eligible for at least one month free. If you get HBO via any method, you should get it. Long version below. Read all that, check out those links, then ask questions. If you get HBO through your TV provider, you'll probably get it...unless you have Comcast (Xfinity) cable. If you pay for HBO directly via HBO Now, you'll get it. If you have an AT&T cell phone, their internet service or one of their many TV providers, you'll be eligible for a free trial...UNLESS...you have any of their services at the highest level. Then you'll get it included. You don't need all three...if you have DirecTV with Verizon, you're good. If you have Comcast internet with an AT&T cellphone and YouTube TV, you're good. You just need the AT&T account. If you pay for HBO via something like Amazon or AppleTV, you may or may not get it. You may have to cancel that HBO subscription and pay for HBO Max directly. The good news...it's the same price. I don't think Amazon will have it on launch. You'll have to cancel that subscription and pay for it directly OR read those articles at the bottom to figure out how. Now here's where it gets tricky. As of this moment, I'm eligible at launch. The bummer is that I have a Roku. As of now, HBO and Roku haven't agreed to terms yet. This means I should be able to watch on my phone. I should be able to use a Chromecast. If I had an Xbox, I could use that. It's still his production company at least... I wonder if having a minority female host is a sign of the times or if it just happened that way. |
