My apologies for the format. We weren't online at the same time.
Tristan: What was the most difficult part of both right to stay challenges? What do you think you could've done differently to have gone further? What was your favorite part of being on the show? Had you survived how do you think you would've played the game? Was their a specific partner or team color you wanted? How did you hear about Endurance? Do you still keep in contact with any of the contestants? What are your favorite memories from the show? How has being on Endurance affected your life? Would you do it all again if you could? Have you been recognized form being on Endurance?
Brandon: The most difficult challenge of those challenges was finding the right technique to stay on the pole. I was the last one to drop to the water. I felt like if I was more flexible then I could have hung on the pole for hours. Plus Damion was shaking the poles, which made me slip off the pole faster. Also in the second challenge I should have picked a different position to stand in order to hold the foam statue over my head. However, at the time I felt like Tom cheated, because he lifted up the whole thing with his head which in turn made my foam statue fly off my head. I was playing fair but I guess some people were willing to do anything in order to stay.. My favorite part of being on the show was getting to travel to Hawaii and meet new people from all over the country! If I would have survived I would have played the game by making allies and ensuring I put my best effort into every challenge while working well with my partner.
Yes there was a specific team and partner I wanted to be with. At the time I really wanted to be on the brown team, because Vanetta was the one I became closest to. I felt like she was trust worthy and knew how to connect well with people, which would have been a great asset to our team to make allies. How I heard about Endurance was my mother was searching through the internet at the time and was submitting me to different projects. The Endurance project required me to send in a self tape since they weren’t auditioning in person in my city. Long story short, I kept messing up on the self tapes to the point I was going to give up and not submit. Finally I did the send tape one last time and said, “I’ll make Hercules look like French toast” and the rest is history! Yes, I do still keep in contact with a couple of the people from the show. From time to time I speak to Vanetta Smith from the brown team and Rachel Lofton from the Red Team. My favorite memories from the show we’re getting to connect with everyone in person and building friendships after the show. It was an amazing experience and till this day I’m glad I took the leap of faith and auditioned for the show, because out of thousands of people I had the chance of a life-time to do something unique of fun that most kids my age only dreamed of. Endurance has heavily effected my life in the sense of people hitting me up out of the blue even after a decade the show aired. Once the show was airing at the time I moved to California and I was heavily recognized from the show at school. I felt like a celebrity! I would Definetly do it all over again if I could. Mainly because I love traveling and meeting new people! The challenges were super intense and I love every bit of it being that I’m a competitive person myself. Yes I have been recognized till this day from being on Endurance. Our episodes are on YouTube and have thousands of views! At the time I was also featured in Entertainment Weekly and Tv Guide Magazine where they had a full page picture of me hanging on the pole! There is even a fan page on Instagram for all the people who were on Endurance. It’s amazing we still have fans till this day!
