Okay, so call me crazy... But I've thought this ever since I first starting watching Endurance. Do you truly think the producers would have let Tom continue on as a one-man team and let Yellow, a likely fan-favorite two-person team be eliminated? Do you think Bryannah would have been allowed to stay in the game and play as his partner? Although I doubt that Endurance would have had a 'fixed' temple, I also know that you want good TV!! Yellow was such an underdog team and I think they could have predicted that people would be really upset when they left. It's also interesting to note that really all missions left in the game could have been done solo at this point (except the create your own mission, which I'm sure would have been changed if Tom did not have a partner). Thoughts on this?

If Tom had won the Temple and made it to the final as a one man team then he would’ve had a huge underdog story too. My question is in that case, what if he wins, does Vanetta get anything for being his partner for the first half of the game?

I agree that they would have let Tom keep competing as a one-man team.
In his interview that was posted on this forum in August, E2 Tyler Burkhalter claimed that E2 Orange's temple against Green was fixed, because the producers didn't want to have a boring finale with Orange already having almost all of the pieces. But I think E3 disproves that. If any team was ever going to have a temple fixed in their favor, it would have been E3 Yellow against Gray. E3 Gray had a similarly large number of pieces and E3 Yellow was certainly well-liked by the production crew (note that during the E3 casting special episodes, they spent quite a bit of time on Bryanah, Monroe, and Lindi, but comparatively little on Chris). But Yellow lost against Gray, so it wouldn't really make sense for them to have saved Yellow against Brown but not the second time around against Gray.
If Tom had stayed, clearly the players would have come up with something else for the Create-Your-Own-Game mission. But I think the producers would have had to come up with something else for the Row Your Boat mission as well if Tom had lasted that long. Those rafts were large enough such that they really needed a good coordinated effort of one person steering and one person paddling in order to really move, as Nicole and Demian's poor performance showed.
As for what had happened if Tom won the whole thing, I would be very surprised if Vanetta wouldn't have gotten anything. Luck is one of the pyramid pieces, after all. She would have gotten lucky that Tom was her partner and won, so she would get to go on the reward trip (unless she didn't want to after her injury of course).
