1) The teams were chosen at the end of the episode. Initial thoughts on the teams? YES!! CALEB & MIRANDA!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I also just became a big fan of Emily & Patrick and Scott & Jessica. I'm really just waiting for their colors. Once they get those I can associate their name with the color and know who they are. Right now, it's a little confusing for me but that's just because there are so many contestants and so little time with them!! Regardless, YES!!! SUPER EXCITED FOR THE REST!! See I originally had Caleb and Miranda with other people, but then I decided to see if I could still have decent pairings with them together... and I put Caleb's original partner with Miranda's original partner, and I was like "huh that works too!" The colours will be part two, so stay tuned! I should probably list the teams formed, so here they are: Patrick and Emily Scott and Jessica Caleb and Miranda Eric and Angela Ryan and Meghan Michael and Christina Daniel and Allison Jason and Tiana Justin and Sofia Anthony and Audrey

I really like these teams!!!! Omg @ Anthony & Audrey. I literally speculated putting them together because... quite frankly, I didn't want to burden anyone else with either of them hahaha. I have a feeling they'll be a target but won't go home for a while, as they seem like they're going to be a strong team.
MY BOY RYAN GOT PUT WITH MEGHAN!! I wasn't expecting that one! Pls don't let the other guys be mean to him. Plllssss I lov him
It'll be interesting to see how the "expected teams" work together (S&J, D&A) versus everyone else. I also agree with Mats, for some reason I'm interested in Emily & Patrick as a team now. And I can't wait for team colors! <3

Hopefully Ryan can stay strong. On the plus side, Meghan seems to really like him and want to protect him! Anthony and Audrey have definitely rubbed people the wrong way for a while, and should this not change people will definitely want them gone. But he's a football player, she's a cheerleader... pretty good physical combo. And who knows how good their manipulation skills could be? Team colour selection will be more dramatic than ever, and there's another big twist involved with the mission

1) The teams were chosen at the end of the episode. Initial thoughts on the teams? Patrick and Emily: Looks like the Aaron and Jonna to beat this season. Emily really stands out to me as a competitor, I want her to do well! Scott and Jessica: After re-reading Jessica's character bio, I STAN THIS TEAM SO HARD. Let's go! Caleb and Miranda Eric and Angela Ryan and Meghan: I agree with you kwdrewfan--this may shape up to be one of my favorite teams! Simultaneously, I'm worried differences might seep up through the cracks, but let's see how the challenges shape up. That said, I stan for now. Michael and Christina Daniel and Allison Jason and Tiana Justin and Sofia Anthony and Audrey: Ooh, this may look really interesting! It kind of reminds me of Taylor and Isaac pairing up together on E5--while Audrey in particular wasn't paired up with her least favorite, it may end up being choppy. Will they have the same strategies on gameplay, in particular? While I could see them doing well in missions, if they cannot have a coherent strategy with other people, they will be targeted. The ones I don't have comments for don't have an impression on me just yet. Another question I have is who's most likely to be the lovable underdog this season, and which one is more likely to blow up into a severe argument? And most importantly, is there a strategy for choosing a color?

I don't want to spoil anything, but just based on rereading the character bios, I can probably see Eric and Angela, Daniel and Allison and Michael and Christina being underdogs... who becomes the lovable ones who might make it farther than expected is the question. As for who has arguments... I mean I'm pretty sure most will point at Anthony and Audrey, though Ryan being a quiet boy-next-door and Meghan being feisty could also lead to disagreements. And Audrey probably has another reason for finding Justin annoying... wonder if that will come out when he works with Sofia? As for strategy... depends how superstitious they are. Some might pick a colour that is seen as more powerful (eg. Blue, Green, Red, maybe Purple) because they feel associating themselves with those colours could take them farther in. Some might conversely pick a less powerful colour like Yellow or Orange or Brown to avoid falling into the idea of colours being defining, and perhaps to revitalize those colours and give them a new reputation. Black and White... most teams might want to avoid those colours, but who knows, maybe someone would want one of those to be able to forge a new path. The strength of those teams really depends who gets the colour. And then presumably no one wants Gray. The curse may or may not be over, but there will definitely be some who believe it is still on.

Taylor/Ike is a perfect comparison for Audrey/Anthony. I'm intrigued to see if they fall into "villain" roles or if they're able to redeem themselves. Otherwise, I love Tiana/Jason, Scott/Jessica, and Patrick/Emily.

The team colours were finally decided! Here are the talk time questions for part 2 of the second episode...
1) Eric came out to his partner, Angela. Angela is accepting of Eric's choice, but is concerned that it might affect them in the game somehow. Are her concerns valid, or not entirely?
2) Much discussion was held about alliances. Which teams could you see possibly forming alliances? Who might take charge? Who might be left without an alliance?
3) Have your feelings towards any contestants or teams changed at all? If so, how?
4) The first Endurance alum cameo(s) will be in the next episode! Who do you think the special guest(s) might be?
5) How do you feel about the teams' colour choices?
Red Team: Scott Middleton and Jessica Tang Orange Team: Anthony King and Audrey Spacek Yellow Team: Daniel Wiebe and Allison Lee Green Team: Ryan Park and Meghan Kelly Blue Team: Justin Whitney and Sofia Fernandez-Grimaldi Purple Team: Eric Truscott and Angela Linkowski Gray Team: Jason Fontaine and Tiana Ragland Brown Team: Patrick Roussin and Emily Whitecloud White Team: Michael Jindal and Christina Weber Black Team: Caleb McConnell and Miranda Musaphir

Daniel: *laughs* Who does? But yeah makes sense… that being said, there’s a colour I want. Doesn’t have the strong rep of blue or green… but two well-known teams had this colour, and I think we can really turn the fortunes around.Allison: Which colour?Daniel: Yellow.I literally scoffed. I can't. I would never take Yellow. Honestly, I think I'd take Gray over Yellow! At least if I survived the 1st temple mission I'd go far! (If Chris/Lindi have any pull.) I'm the worst. xD The thing is, I have no idea why. Yellow just rubs me the wrong way.. Patrick & Emily's description during the alliance making is my FAVORITE. They honestly might become my favorite team!! Well, now I'm curious where Scott got his info.. How'd he know about the alliance? (To be fair, if E4 proves anything, alliances don't really stay secret until the first challenge.) Caleb *confessional*: I think Miranda and I have this in the bag! She and I definitely have some good strategies going, and everyone should be scared. We’ll destroy them, every one of them! Audrey: *confessional*: Anthony is very competitive, just like me. That’s what the other teams don’t have as much of.. the urge to win! NO! CALEB!! STOP BEING SO CONCEITED!! ARROGANT PLAYERS NEVER GO FAR!! (I mean, seriously. Can anybody name one player who said something along the lines of, "I'm coming back from Temple and I'm gonna destroy them." and then actually came back? Besides Nicole when she was like, "I am better than Bryanah and I want everyone to know." I honestly can't think of another case.) That's an interesting twist!! I really wasn't expecting the advantage or disadvantage. It'll be fun to see how those play into the game. Caleb: *throwing his water insanely hard*Miranda: *is managing to catch it, but has almost fallen over multiple times from how hard his throwing is* Yo, Caleb! Can you ease up a bit on the throwing? I’ve almost fallen over every time!Caleb: What? I love throwing hard! But fine, fine, if you insist *laughs*So, I get that I'm paying more attention to Caleb because I can sense myself in him, but this really added so much to his character for me. Most kids I knew at that age, albeit in Utah, would immediately apologize and leave it at that. But I also knew some guys that would say something like that. Shows both the immaturity and also the 'kid' in his character. At least in that moment, he's there for fun. Sorry, so much analyzing going on but I love how this series is going so far! Oh, Emily. It's okay. You're not in last! I can't lie, one of my fears with bringing Endurance back is that some of the classicness would be taken away. So, even though this is fiction, it's nice to read some cast members all agree that Gray is the WORST. So, Caleb & Miranda didn't get Purple, but to be honest I'm all good with it. I'm a little nervous about Patrick & Emily getting Brown, just because of how Tom & Vanetta handled Brown last time. But, I'm thinking they can be the next Max & Jenna! Also, I can't say I'm surprised that Anthony & Audrey got Orange! xD Such a fun series, and can't wait for the next one!! Thanks for your input! Lol Yellow is actually a colour I wouldn't mind getting! Even though it isn't known as one of the strongest colours, it is a colour I see potential in. Hopefully Daniel and Allison can turn the fortunes of Yellow around given the abysmal performances of the last three Yellow teams (though, to be fair, Aric and Lilly definitely should have gone farther, and even Chris and Callie could have gone farther, it just didn't work out for them). Patrick and Emily definitely know what's up when it comes to alliances, and given the performances of the other two teams they were talking with in the challenge, they have reason to maybe not want to make an alliance with them! Scott probably has his ways... he has proven to be a huge threat. He probably knows his way around somehow lol. Hopefully this mission has made Caleb figure out he isn't invincible even though he got his top pick. He is still a starstruck immature kid, but he has room to learn and perhaps next episode will show a change in character. Fingers crossed (for his sake and Miranda's)! Yeah... I don't recall a team ever having a built-in disadvantage for a non-Temple mission before, so it will be interesting! Especially since three teams have an advantage, and two have a disadvantage! Emily is a competitive one. She knows she isn't invincible anymore and she and Patrick do have things to work on. But yeah, she doesn't have a handicap, so hopefully they can prove themselves more next mission! Gray being the colour no one wants is a CLASSIC. I had to make sure that got in somehow! Yeah, hopefully Patrick and Emily are more like Max and Jenna and NOTHING like Tom and Vanetta. Those two weren't even fully aligned with the same people! (Tom being fiercely loyal to Green and Yellow, while Vanetta trusted both teams but liked Nicole too much) And Anthony and Audrey... Orange E3 vibes? Audrey could be the next Nicole, with hints of Sabrina and E3 Sarah. Anthony on the other hand... Chris E4 and Scooter vibes? Either way, watch out!

I mentioned this on the main story board, but I don't think Angela's concerns are valid, except for the distant possibility that we may see an E3 Bryanah vs. Sarah/Lindi/Nicole scenario. If that's the case, how would she stick up to her partner, if at all? 2. Red and Green may make quite the alliance! However, if you're not careful, then I'm worried that Meghan might be the one to break it up due to her personality. The Blue Team may be a curious case--they could get along with anyone and make quite a stable alliance. However, what if the other teams were to be overwhelmed by their strength and start targeting them? 3. Patrick and Emily...don't look as strong as they may be. I'm assuming it's because it's the first mission and they need some time to warm up, but there might be the off-chance they could go home early if their team dynamics aren't as great as they are supposed to be. Justin and Sofia showed off as a surprise threat; again, may go under the radar. Everyone else doesn't really stand out to me to make a judgement call. 4. The first Endurance champions--Aaron and Jonna! I could Aaron trying to back out from the spotlight a little bit, and somebody call him out for falling for Sabrina. Jonna on the other hand may give some advice and tell about her reality TV days and everyone will laugh at whatever performances she had. 5. I could see why everyone jockeyed for the color they wanted. I disagree with @firetruck421, however, on Yellow--I see Yellow as a decent color, but sometimes, they just got unlucky (E2: struggled to win missions; E4: superteams; E5, alliances). They could become a strong team if it weren't for these circumstances. While I don't have an impression on Daniel and Allison yet, I would like to see them surprise everyone! But I do agree with him on Caleb and his quote during the color challenge--it was quite endearing. Compare that to criticism during challenges by other teams on RL Endurance...

I don't know, I can understand being a little worried but she seems to be putting too much thought into it. Maybe when you're actually IN the game, and it's YOUR position that hangs in the balance, it makes your concerns about those things amplify x100 - but I don't think I would automatically start fearing the worst. 2) Much discussion was held about alliances. Which teams could you see possibly forming alliances? Who might take charge? Who might be left without an alliance? I thought A&A would have a much stronger showing than they did, and the same goes for the Brown team. I have a feeling that Red & whoever they end up officially allied with will have a lot of pull in the game - which I would be all in favor of, to be honest! 3) Have your feelings towards any contestants or teams changed at all? If so, how?I'm liking Justin more & more since he's kind of emerging as an underdog! Sofia is really cool, too; I liked that she was pleased to get him as a partner (since most of the girls didn't want him). This is always subject to change, but AS OF NOW I'm thinking my fav teams are Red, Blue, and then I love the boys on Yellow & Green (not digging Meghan so far, and I don't have too strong an opinion on Allison). I am going to keep an eye on Angela moving forward. Not sure how much I trust her attitude re:Eric. 4) The first Endurance alum cameo(s) will be in the next episode! Who do you think the special guest(s) might be? I've never been one to make guesses about things like this. I'm just here for the ride! 5) How do you feel about the teams' colour choices?I was very confused when Emily was like "oh DEFINITELY Brown!!!" like... um... why? Lolol I would neeeeeevvveeerrrrrrr choose Brown over anything, except for possibly Gray. But even that would be debatable because I prefer Gray as a color. Otherwise, though, I thought the discussions about color choices were interesting to see.

Otherwise, though, I thought the discussions about color choices were interesting to see. Thanks to both of you for your detailed input! Keep your fingers crossed that Angela will have a change of heart and hopefully grow to appreciate Eric more. It's only the first challenge and the first day of being a team... hopefully Purple isn't doomed. They at least seemed to be okay at the challenge. Red is definitely starting to look like the team to beat, with Blue as potential dark horses and Green also having the potential to be threats (if they can keep up the teamwork they have and work past their differences). Can't forget that Yellow and Black were up there as well though, and have the potential to be dark horses too. And ofc, Brown had a weaker mission than expected but maybe they were just getting ready. Or perhaps this particular mission didn't highlight their strengths well enough. Two more questions for all of you: 1) It's only the first mission, but can you make a prediction of the final placement for the teams? If so, how would it look and why? 2) If another season is made, which locations would you like to see? (would prefer a warmer one bc colder climates are harder to make challenges for, but any interesting setting suggestions would be appreciated!)

Alright, I love participating in these kinds of hypotheticals! 10th place: White Team (Michael & Christina)9th place: Gray Team (Jason & Tiana)8th place: Brown Team (Patrick & Emily)7th place: Orange Team (Anthony & Audrey)6th place: Yellow Team (Daniel & Allison)5th place: Purple Team (Eric & Angela)4th place: Green Team (Ryan & Meghan)3rd place: Black Team (Caleb & Miranda) 2nd place: Red Team (Scott & Jessica)Endurance Champs: Blue Team (Justin & Sofia)I tried to put my opinions away and judge as objectively as I could (based on potential challenge strength and partnership/teamwork)... I still can actually imagine a lot of my favorite teams making it far. But there could still totally be some bias there, haha. 2) If another season is made, which locations would you like to see? (would prefer a warmer one bc colder climates are harder to make challenges for, but any interesting setting suggestions would be appreciated!)To be 100% honest, I don't give much thought to Endurance locations - my focus tends to be more on the characters and course of the competition, so the location is just more of a backdrop. My best advice is to search Google maps until you find something that sounds good as a title. "Endurance: _____" xD

I really love Gray and White! Idk why but they just seem nice. I don't think Gray will have good teamwork, though. And Orange was chiller in this episode. I hope they make an underdog run. Also I support Brown team WOO! My favorite teams all did badly in the challenge...
Blue seems STRONG. Because of that I don't think they'll win. Everyone knows how strong they are and will target them eventually, and with ten teams that's going to be hard to combat.

I also agree with kwdrewfan about locations... tbh, in my current season it's supposed to be in like a clearing in the Argentina rainforest but I keep writing "beach" in the dialogue... so yeah. A cooler climate might be interesting, though. I remember there was some speculation that a previous season of Endurance might take place in Alaska (I think this was E5 so at least they got into the mountains).

And that White will get stronger. I wonder if Orange knows that they have a target on their back for their attitudes early on? Or maybe they just have nothing to argue about right now. Haha! Blue was surprisingly strong. Unlike Red or Green, which many figured could be strong, Blue was a surprise top 3 finisher. We'll see if this affects their ability to secure an alliance or not!
