I asked Jonna a question on Twitter randomly but ended up getting a response... Sad that E1 doesn't seem to have stood the test of time when it comes to friendships Although Lana and Jenna are really good friends still, and I *want* to say Ashley and Jon are but I'm not sure.

At least you got a response! Part one of "interview" checked. Yeah, it's kind of unfortunate. But being the earliest season, maybe that's why. However, you did mention the E2 contestants keep in touch relatively more, but I'll assume it would be because it's been thirteen years since everything happened. Why not ask Ashley online, then? Speaking of Ashley, we know her friendship with Sabrina has deteriorated since they have been on the show. Oh well.

Yeah E2 is a pretty incredibly close season. An interesting thing I was thinking of when I was thinking about their friendships is that Jenna and Trey are actually good friends after their season.... but I realized they never even met each other on the show! Jenna and Max came in after the right to stay.
I think Ashley is very private when it comes to her life and Endurance fans.

I think Ashley is very private when it comes to her life and Endurance fans. Curious--I know she hasn't had many bad experiences on Endurance, but I still find that interesting.

That makes sense. Thinking about it now, are Chelsea and Layla still friends? They had a nice friendship.

I don't think they're really friends anymore, but then again I'm not terribly sure.

Well, I'm doing some casual Facebook stalking (I finally have a FB, haha), and Jon is friends with Ashley and Lana.
Sabrina and Chelsea, on the other hand, don't have any former contestants for friends.

For some reason I can't find it anymore. I'm actually friends with Lana on FB, but she has her friends hidden still so I can't see who all she's friends with.

Ashley had several AIM names back in the day. I asked her once and I think she started blocking people.

It's pretty depressing in a way to see that Jonna lost contact with the participants of Endurance. I would've thought they'd all keep in contact even if they rarely do.

It's pretty depressing in a way to see that Jonna lost contact with the participants of Endurance. I would've thought they'd all keep in contact even if they rarely do. I mean, it’s not completely surprising. To us, as a viewer, where the producers spread out their Endurance experience over the span of 13 or so episodes, it seemed like this huge epic experience. And I’m sure it was for them...at the time. You have to remember that for them, it was only a month TOPS (and for most of the cast, even less than that) out of their lives. And they were all VERY young (12-15) when they filmed the show...and they filmed this 17+ years ago. That’s a really long time and a lot of “life” has happened to them between them and now. At this point, Endurance was probably a small blip on their radar. Not to mention that the cast was from all over the country, brought together only by this once in a lifetime sort of thing (twice for Max and Jenna). And their particular season was before social media so it must have been very difficult for them to all keep in touch afterwards. So all things considered, it isn’t super surprising to me that they aren’t close anymore. It’s just a sad reality of life

Trust me I know that. It doesn't make it any depressing none the less.

One argument against that is Keetin and Mike kept in contact from Endurance 2. It happened a year after Endurance.

My way of thinking is that Endurance must've been a unique experience for everyone involved. Especially the teenagers. I mean how often do you get dropped off on a remote part of the beach with 19 other kids around your age plus the production crew to film a reality tv series? I guess what I am saying is that maybe they had this unique experience and bond that most people will never get in their life that would allow them to talk to each other and reminisce. I guess I am wrong. That's just how life goes I guess.
