Do you think Brown - or Tom by this point actually was fairly removed from the game? Or do you think his team was removed for only being a one-man team?
I'm sure Endurance wouldn't remove a team but idk, I don't think they would have let Brown stay over Yellow. Like why would Purple send Brown if Tom was a one-man team? I don't think Purple and Orange were that strong of an alliance as proved by the temple mission at the final four. Like even if I didn't like Tom it was pretty clear Brown was one of the weakest teams in Endurance history and never really came close to winning anything. Do you think the Endurance producers kind of edged on Purple to send Brown to keep the game fair?
Also at temple do you think Yellow fairly won or do you think the deal could have been, "Tom if you lose this mission your team will be removed from the game"? Just something to think about. I highly doubt Endurance would do that but honestly, Yellow was the fan favorite and a one-man team wouldn't have been able to make it to the end. Maybe if Yellow lost Bryannah would have been able to join his team for the remainder of the game. Or would Vanetta eventually come back? Thoughts?

This is an interesting theory but I don't think anything fishy happened. I don't think Reece would have sent Demian to Temple. At that point it was basically everyone on the same page to send Brown/Yellow with the hopes of taking out Yellow. I think they wanted Brown to come back because they were just an easy win, and instead of sending one of their friends to hopefully take out Yellow, they hoped Tom would do it. I'm sure the producers were hoping in the back of their minds Tom would go home (because a one man team is kind of a wretch in all of their plans) but I think it just so happened that he went home that round.
When I was younger I was under the impression Vanetta would have come back but now I'm not so sure. Does anyone remember the extent of her injury? I know she had to have stitches but how many? I've never had stitches before - how long do they take to heal/be taken out? At that point there was like a week, or at most a week and a half, left in the game so I'm not sure that even if Tom would have been able to last past that round, that Vanetta would have been able to return.

Tom didn't appear to be very strong; while we know Vanetta was a pretty bad contestant, losing her definitely gave a debilitating blow for him. If he had come back from Temple that would've been amazing, especially for the teams who have been left because he wouldn't do anything.
I'm not sure about you, but I think the producers already have decided the missions beforehand, so it would be a hard thing for the producers to re-edit the missions so it could be done with one person (though I do think Try Tri Again, You're Fired!, and Color Coded can easily be done by one person). Do you think it could've been done?
Other than that, nothing really fishy.

Ok, I just saw this post. Vanetta was taken completely out of the game...removed from that part of the island and taken to a hospital. At minimum, they would have been in for a few days. The bigger issue is keeping the area dry and clean, something which would have been next to impossible in an area that gets 440 inches of rain per year. And yes, as already said, the producers decide the missions long before the contestants arrive at the island, due to them needing the equipment. Create Your Own Game would have been something entirely different. (That was a FUN game, BTW.) |
