So, what are you guys doing for it???
Today, Wednesday, I had a half day at school, and later on, my family's going into the city to see the Macy's Parade balloons be blown up. It's weird, I've lived on Long Island my whole life, but never went into NYC to see the parade or the balloons.
Tomorrow, people are coming over...lots of food! Yipee!!

lucky! one of my life goals is to be a volunteer in teh Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. and my mom's brother lives on long island...she tells stories of how she would go for Thanksgiving, 4th of July, etc...oh the traffic! that's why she said she won't go anymore..
we're staying home. cooking and eating. and i'm soooo going black friday shopping!!!!

My dad used to work at the NYC Macy's store in the early 1990s, and he once got the chance to be one of the people who carries a balloon string in the parade route, but he turned it down - I don't know why though. And this year, a second cousin of mine is dancing in the parade. I love my home area Plus, it's easy to go into the city from here, so I go about four or five times a year. Last year, I went in to see 'Wintuk' with my class, and that was a Cirque du Soleil thing, and last February, I went with two classmates and a teacher to see 'Xanadu' and write a kids' review on it. This year, in April, my grade gets to see a Broadway play as a graduation trip! Squee!
