I've been thinking about this a little bit--what if the Blue-Green-Yellow Superteam won the challenge?
At that point, I think that Purple would have to use the Triangle of Immunity, but what else would be different?

I was SO annoyed by the Superboats twist. I thought it was so stupid that only one team competed. I think that Blue-Green-Yellow did have a very good shot at winning if all three teams competed. In that case, like you said, the Triangle of Immunity would've actually served a purpose, meaning Red and Orange would've gone to Temple, dismantling the PROG alliance a little early. I think that Yellow would've been a more dominating force, as well. I mean, c'mon, Lilly was a beast!

To this day, we may never know why they would want only one team to compete. The last time I checked, it was a "Superteam" challenge.

One theory is so that Green wouldn't throw the challenge to keep the alliance intact (Cealey choose to wear purple shorts that day) though I of course don't know for sure if the one team per superteam was actually pre-planned already or not.
