Watching the episode, I have realized how tragic this episode was. On another question, what if Brown chose Yellow to go next? Which team would win? Which teams would go up to the Temple of Fate, and what would've happened afterward?

I still can't watch this episode to this day. Purple did their best to try to help them out and Brown just blows it. But seriously? The whole random stand idea? It was clear that there was a solid divide in alliances and if Purple didn't let Yellow go, Yellow, Green, and Brown would have been eliminated without even getting a turn.

If Brown had kept to the plan and chose Yellow to go next, then obviously either Brown, Yellow, or Green would've won. Yellow and Green would've probably sent Gray and Orange (Red was friends with everyone and Purple DID choose them during the mission), but if Brown would have won, Orange most likely wouldn't have gone (Vanetta and Nicole were really good friends). To this day, that one move by Brown is probably one of the most game changing moments in Endurance history. The entire course of the game would've been different if they hadn't screwed themselves and their alliance over like that.

It would've been really sad if Yellow, Green, and Brown got eliminated without actually playing. But are friendships and alliances the same thing? The Yellow-Orange alliance later on wasn't a friendship at all.

Regardless of how mean Nicole was, Orange was an extremely smart team. And as much as I hated Orange they deserved to go far. Brown on the other hand I really liked, and they were the exact opposite. They did nothing during the game except prove they should have been sent home from the start. I mean they lost the right to stay, threw away an ally in Squaring Off, won 0 challenges, Vanetta was evacuated, could they make it any more clear?! Haha okay that was a little much... but looking back at this challenge it affected the whole game.

To put it nicely, Nicole was quite Machiavellian--that the ends justified the means. Hence, she could be justified because they made it to the end. And it makes sense. As for Brown, if either Green or Yellow won, then they would be carried the entire way.

But are friendships and alliances the same thing? The Yellow-Orange alliance later on wasn't a friendship at all. Friendships tend to be alliances (you don't want to try and get rid of your friends, right?), but alliances don't have to be friendships (as you said, with Yellow and Orange)

On another question, what if Brown chose Yellow to go next? Which team would win? Which teams would go up to the Temple of Fate, and what would've happened afterward? I guess if Brown let Yellow go next, Green would win, and I think they would've sent Red and Gray to Temple, with whichever team went home would leaving their piece to Purple. Out on a Limb/Bamboo JungleIn scenario where Red is eliminated and Yellow still wins, they pick Gray and Green for SuperTeams, and they would win, sending Brown and Orange to Temple. Orange loses, leaves pieces to Gray. Afterward, the game wouldn't be too different than what actually happened, although I see Yellow/Purple/Gray as the final three, with a Purple-Gray final two. See below for what happens if Gray is eliminated in Squaring Off... Yellow wins Out on a Limb, and picks Green and Purple for SuperTeams. That team wins, and Red and Orange go to Temple. Orange loses, leaves their piece to Red. As far as Pipeline, I think Green would win, and steal Purple's pieces, although Purple would win I'm Pulling for You, and have them sit out with the Samadhi. Red would win Balance Ball, and send Yellow and Brown to Temple, with Vanetta injured and Tom losing by himself, giving their piece to Yellow. Yellow wins Try Tri Again, and gives Purple the Samadhi, and Green wins You're Fired, with Red and Purple going to Temple. I'm willing to bet whoever came back would still be eliminated in the final three, resulting in a Green-Yellow final two.
