So I know I say this every time but I really would like to finish this fanfic. This semester is a little less busy for me and I think I should be able to post 1-2 episodes a week. Sorry for the delay and please read it and respond so I am influenced to keep writing. Thanks y’all

Last time on Endurance! The Blue team won their second temple mission. They ended up betraying their friends on the Gray team in order to strengthen their alliance with the Brown team.

Audrey: I really didn’t see that coming..

At the temple, the Red team won in a close match to return back to the game. Three pieces will be given back to the teams and another is up for grabs in today’s Endurance mission.

Will the Blue and Brown alliance stay in control, or will one of the other teams get their chance?

Find out in this episode of Endurance.

Mitch (Confessional): So Gray left, the only real allies I had in this game. I think it’s time we all form some sort of counter-alliance.

Kyle (Confessional): I couldn’t be more happy that Gray left. Maybe we won’t get the Samadhi for once.

Alan (Confessional): Yeah it’s great to win temple missions. But we also want pieces, and at this rate we won’t be getting any from eliminated teams.

The camera shows the remaining six teams standing around Janelle.

Janelle: Hey everyone. As you know, the Gray team was eliminated. They left behind three pieces, Heart, Ingenuity, and Strength. Mitch, you seemed closest with them, could you read the letter.

Mitch: Although it was a short run, we accomplished a lot more than we thought. Even though people thought we were weak we won half of the missions and had the most pieces in the entire game. Yellow we would like to thank you for having our back during the game and for that reason, we give you the Heart and Strength pieces. Red, we admire that no matter how many times they try to get rid of you they can’t. Don’t give up and show them your best. Keep the Ingenuity piece and keep fighting. Good luck to all! From, Ryan and Audrey – Gray team.

Janelle: Congratulations both Yellow and Red teams, you are now first and second respectively. The other four of you have some work to do! You can try to get back in the game in your next Endurance mission. See you there!

Vanessa (Confessional): I was so shocked we got one, but I’m really happy! Thanks Gray!

The camera shows Mitch talking to Vanessa, Bear, and Kaleb.

Mitch: Hey guys, so I’m starting to worry about the strength of the Blue and Brown alliance.

Kaleb: Me too, it seems like they are picking everyone off one by one.

Bear: Well what should we do?

Mitch: Well knowing Ashley and Emma’s friendships with Brown it might even be a three team alliance. Why don’t we make one of our own?

Vanessa: For sure!

Kaleb: Definitely, it’s a 50/50 shot.

Mitch: Sounds great. Hopefully we can put it to use in today’s temple mission.

Another camera shows Mary talking to Christina.

Mary: So our deal is still on right?

Christina: Of course! Me, you, and Blue final three.

Mary: Perfect.

The camera shows all six teams circled around Janelle.

Janelle: Today’s challenge is called Brawn or Gone. You will be competing against each other to win the Friendship piece and the Samadhi. I will throw a tennis ball over the roof and you will all be on the other side. The person who grabs the ball first has an important decision. They can eliminate one player from the game. This cycle will continue until only one player, or full team remains. Once you are eliminated you must step off the field and come to the front of the house. Make sense? Let’s begin.

The 12 players are shown anticipating the ball.

*The first ball is thrown over and Mitch catches it before it hits the ground*

Mitch: Uhh Christina.

Christina (Confessional): I thought Yellow was on our side… what the heck.

Mary: Mitch we need to talk.

Mitch: What?

Mary: (whispering) I’m aligned with Blue and Brown.

Mitch: Yeah that would’ve been nice to know.

*The next ball flies over and is caught by Laura*

Laura: Kyle.

Janelle: The first team eliminated, Brown!

*Bear catches the next tennis ball*

Bear: Yup, bye Alan.

Bear (Confessional): Yeah, felt pretty great to get Blue out.

Mitch (Confessional): This is going great, maybe we can overtake that alliance.

*Kaleb catches the next ball*

Kaleb: Emma.

*Mitch catches the next ball*

Mitch: Sorry Liz.

Janelle: Blue, you’re out.

Mary (Confessional): No idea what Mitch is doing at this point, but I’m pissed.

*Mary catches the next ball*

Mary: Kaleb.

*Ashley catches the ball*

Ashley: Bear, you’re too good at this!

*Vanessa catches the ball*

Vanessa: Ashley, bye Green!

Janelle: Only three teams remain, Vanessa of Red, Mitch and Mary of Yellow, and Laura of Purple!

Mitch: (to Mary) Just let them take each other out.

*Laura catches the ball*

Laura: Vanessa, no hard feelings!

Vanessa: Nope, good luck guys!

Janelle: If Mitch or Mary catches this Yellow wins!

*The ball is launched*

Janelle: Congratulations Yellow! Mitch caught the ball therefore the Yellow team wins!

Mitch and Mary hug while Laura congratulates them

Camera shows all six teams by Janelle

Janelle: You have a tough decision, best of luck to you all.

Camera shows Mitch and Mary talking separate from the other teams

Mary: I don’t think we are on the same page right now.

Mitch: I thought since we always worked against Kyle and Christina we would continue that.

Mary: I feel bad, every game we play we always target them first.

Mitch: I know but if we keep them along much longer they will become real threats.

Mary: Well even if we Samadhi one, the other team has a good shot at winning. I just don’t want to end up at the temple.

Mitch: Let’s just play it safe this round.

Mitch (confessional): We are in the lead with five pieces, 4 of the 6 teams only have one. We are a threat no matter what we do.

The camera pans to Green, Blue, and Brown talking.

Ashley: Think we’re safe this round?

Alan: Yeah, Mary wouldn’t target us.

Alan (Confessional): When I speak about us I mean Blue and Brown. It’s nice to have Green on our side, but when it comes down to it, they aren’t really much help to us, unless it’s a targeting challenge.

Christina: Mitch getting me out makes me nervous, I wouldn’t bet on anything yet.

Finally Purple and Red are shown talking by the shed.

Kaleb: I’m really glad Yellow won. Our alliance worked out really well.

Vanessa: Yeah, I’m just worried about Mary. She is sort of close with Christina and Kyle and doesn’t want to make waves.

Bear: I’m just hoping Blue gets it. They’ve won every temple mission and it makes the most sense.

Laura: I’d love to see either Blue or Brown get it.

Janelle: Alright it is time to decide who will get the Samadhi. Yellow, who will it be?

Mitch: It was a tough decision but we have to go with the team who hasn’t really made an effort to talk to us. So we’re giving it to…

the Green team.

Janelle: Okay Green, come here.

Mitch (Confessional): I don’t want to make enemies and Green is probably the least threatening team here. This way no one is really upset.

Janelle: Open it up, Green.

*The samadhi smashes and a clock with the number twenty is shown on it*

Janelle: This means in the challenge, Green will have to start twenty seconds before anyone else. It might sound like an advantage, but I assure you it is not. I will see you all at the temple mission.

Emma (Confessional): I didn’t see that coming at all. But I have to go in their shoes. Red has been through a lot and Purple is just plain weak. We should have made an effort.

Kaleb (Confessional): It seemed like a cop out to me. The only way to destroy that alliance is eliminate the weaker teams. Why aren’t we doing that?

Last time on Endurance!

The Yellow, Red, and Purple teams formed an alliance to combat the Blue and Brown teams. In the mission the new found alliance was successful, and Yellow won their first mission of the season. In a tough spot Yellow decided to give the Samadhi to the Green team in order to keep both sides happy. Now the six teams will compete in a temple mission for the power to send up two more teams for elimination. Will Blue keep their temple mission streak going? Or will a new team find themselves in control? Find out now on Endurance!

*The camera shows the Green team talking together*

Ashley: I really didn’t think that would happen..
Emma: Yeah I don’t even know.
Ashley: I’m trying not to take it personally. I know they don’t want to make enemies, but they should have given it to Red since no one is really with them.
Ashley (Confessional): I know Mary is close with Brown and I really think if given the opportunity they would keep us safe too. Maybe they just know Purple and Red are weak and don’t stand a chance in the challenge.

*Brown is shown talking to Blue*

Alan: I’m really glad Yellow didn’t give it to us, I know we’re a threat so I was a little nervous.
Kyle: I’m happy I don’t have the Samadhi for a change; that was getting old.
Liz: What do you think about Green getting it though?
Kyle: Well Green is just kind of there. They probably just feel bad for Red and just picked between Green and Purple.
Christina: Yeah I think so too. If anything I’m just glad they stuck to their word.

*The camera switches to the six teams by Janelle*

Janelle: Welcome everyone! Today you will be competing in your third temple mission.
Vanessa (Confessional): This temple mission is big for us. We can’t afford to go to the temple of fate again, we simply aren’t that lucky.
Janelle: In today’s challenge the team who does not let go with keep the power. Your mission is called Partner Push. As you can see you have a line of tennis balls. Four on each side, for each partner. When I say go you will both start at the tennis ball closest to each other, the first tennis ball. You must push against each other in order to stay up. If you interlock fingers or grab on to each other you will be automatically eliminated from the challenge. Every 20 seconds, one partner will have to move back one tennis ball. If you successfully make this transition you will remain in the mission. If you take too long or let go in the process, you will be eliminated.

Here is an example…


Janelle: Now Green, because you got a 20 second disadvantage you must start before everyone else. Consequently, you will be one tennis ball back from all of the other teams. This does not make the mission impossible, however much more difficult. The last team standing will win. Are you ready? GO!



As the mission starts, Ashley and Emma are the only ones pushing against each other. It is a short distance so they have no problem. After twenty seconds the other teams join while Emma moves back one position.

Janelle: The game is off to a good start, no team having any major problems!
Ashley: Keep it up Emma!
Alan: Don’t let go Liz.
Liz: This is the easy stuff!
Christina: Is this a joke? This is too easy.

After 20 more seconds one partner moves back a position.

Emma: Ashley I can’t do this much longer.
Ashley: Don’t give up, we can’t be the first out!
Janelle: That’s 20 more seconds, move back again!

By this point the teams are finally beginning to extend their arms.

Ashley: Come on Emma, we can do this!
Emma: Ashley I’m starting to sli..
Janelle: The Green team lets go and they are out of the mission! Please step off the field ladies.
Kaleb: Laura this is starting to hurt!
Laura: Don’t hurt yourself, we can’t give up yet though!

After 20 more seconds the teams are all pushed even further apart.

Mary: I’m slipping!
Mitch: You got this Mary, just push harder against my hands, you’re tough!
Kyle: Ow this is getting uncomfortable…
Janelle: Brown looks like they are having a tough time, and there goes Purple!
Laura (Confessional): We were doing the best we could, this just wasn’t our challenge. Our arms aren’t that long!
Janelle: It’s time to move back again.

The 4 remaining teams move back, except for Red who has not moved positions.

Janelle: Red you have to move or you will be eliminated.
Vanessa: If we move back any further we might not be able to reach!
Janelle: Sorry Red, you’re out.
Bear (Confessional): I was doing my best and Vanessa wasn’t being the biggest help. But I have to be supportive and just hope someone other than Blue wins this one.
Janelle: It looks like Yellow is getting off-balance now too.
Mary: Mitch I can’t do this anymore, I’m sorry!
Janelle: Yellow is out, it’s time to move back! Blue and Brown remain!

The two teams move back positions with small difficulty.
Kyle: Ouch Christina I can’t bend any further…
Alan: You guys are safe with us, don’t worry!
Christina: Promise?
Alan: Promise.
Janelle: It looks like a deal is being made between Blue and Brown! And there we have it, Brown lets go and Blue is the winner for a third temple mission in a row!

The Blue and Brown team exchange hugs and high fives as the group meets around Janelle.

Janelle: Blue you are no stranger to this now. You can send two teams to the temple of fate, where one will be eliminated for good. Good luck with your decision!

The Yellow team is shown talking after the mission.

Mary: I’m really scared this round.
Mitch: Me too… we are the only other team left that has won a mission and we have five pieces…
Mary: But we stayed loyal to them. We’re both friends with both of them so I don’t want to say we’re going but then again, we are the biggest threat to them.
Mitch: If they did they must know they wouldn’t get our pieces, it’d just be a waste of time.
Mary: True…
Mitch: We need to talk to them, I’m too worried about this.
Mary: Actions speak louder than words. I know you like Red and Purple but they won’t win challenges, they’re a bad alliance to have.
Mitch (Confessional): I don’t want to give up the alliances I’ve made. Even if they get sent home we can still get their pieces, and if they’re still in the game we can work together with them. No one has to know.

The Brown and Blue teams are conversing.

Kyle: Glad you guys won! It’s nice to not have to worry about the temple.
Kyle (Confessional): Coming into this game I thought we were going to have to worry about defending Blue the whole time. However they’ve won three and we’ve won nothing. Good choice on our part!
Alan: I can’t believe we are three for three, it’s incredible!
Liz: Another tough decision though. Can just you and I talk Alan?
Alan: Sure.

Liz and Alan move away from the group.

Liz: I’d really feel bad if we sent up Red again. I don’t want to do that to them, but it might get rid of them once and for all.
Alan: They’ve been through a lot. But who else could we send. Our options are Red, Yellow, Purple, and Green. Brown is obviously on our side.
Liz: I’m good friends with Purple and sort of close with Yellow. I can’t do that to them.
Alan: Well I don’t want Red to go and I will give Yellow one more free pass. Hopefully this will convince them we’re on their side. Honestly I think we’d have a good chance of getting their pieces as long as we don’t send them.
Liz: I can’t send Purple. Would you really send Green?
Alan: I don’t know. They aren’t really an asset because they can’t win many challenges. But I want as many teams on my side as I can. I’m torn between Red and Green. I’m sorry but I think Purple will have to go.
Liz: What if we both send one team? That way it will be an equal choice.
Alan: Fine by me.

The camera then moves to Purple and Red talking.

Vanessa: I don’t want to go again… I’m scared.
Bear: We’ve been up twice, isn’t that enough? Clearly we aren’t a threat, they need to open up their eyes.
Kaleb: We are both really close with Liz so I want to say we are safe. I just really hope they don’t send both you guys and Yellow, we need a chance for all three teams in the alliance to stay.
Laura (Confessional): Liz is one of my closest friends and I know she would never target us. Sure Alan is close to Brown but he doesn’t want us out, right? What goal would that achieve?

Finally Mitch is shown talking to Alan.

Mitch: Alan I know we had some sort of deal before this game started, is it still in effect.
Alan: I want to say it is, but I can’t protect you forever.
Mitch: I didn’t think you guys would really be controlling the game this well. I don’t want you to feel like you’re carrying us.
Alan: This is the last round we can really do it anymore. You guys are ahead by a lot and it would be stupid for us to keep around the most powerful team. But I will stick to my word one last time. Just be careful next round because you’re fair game.
Mitch: That’s all I’m asking for, thanks Alan.

Janelle: Okay Blue it is time for you to tell us which two teams are going to the temple of fate.
Alan: Alright well Liz and I have decided each to pick one team.
Mitch (Confessional): Maybe I wasn’t as safe as I thought.
Liz: Although you two are close with Alan I don’t feel the same way. I’m worried that you might be a weight holding us down and we can’t carry a team the whole game. I’m sorry but the team I chose is…














The Green team.

Ashley: What?!
Ashley (Confessional): Alan and I are good friends and then they pull this! I can’t believe it, maybe they aren’t the friends I thought they were.
Alan: I’m sorry Green, I honestly had no idea what Liz would pick. And for my team I have to choose someone who will want us out down the line. You might not be a big threat but I am not close with either of you and feel you would try to get rid of me if given the chance. My team is…
























The Purple team.

Laura: Liz, are you serious?
Kaleb: Not cool man, thought we were closer than that.
Janelle: It seems like neither team was expecting this decision. Did Blue make the right choice, or will they have another enemy coming back? I will see both Purple and Green at the temple.

The Purple and Green teams are shown making their way to the temple.

Kaleb (Confessional): I’m just really hurt our friends sent us. I could understand if it was an enemy but it’s not. I feel betrayed.
Ashley (Confessional): I want to prove that the Green team is better than everyone thinks we are. People might see us as weak or dependent on others but we are much more.
Laura (Confessional): None of these challenges have been our forte yet. We just need another chance and if we come back we will make the most of it.
Emma (Confessional): This game has been a lot of fun and leaving it I know we will all still be friends. If it’s our time to go then so be it but if we come back y’all better watch out!

Janelle: Welcome both Green and Purple to the temple of fate. The game, simple. To stay, not so easy. You will compete in a game similar to rock, paper, scissors, but instead is fire, water, and wood. Fire burns wood. Wood floats on water. And water puts out the fire. The first team to win two rounds will stay in the game while the loser, is one for good. Let’s start with round one.

Laura: Water?
Kaleb: Might as well…

Janelle: Will the dominant element please rise now…























Green: Wood
Purple: Water

Janelle: Green you have one win! One more win and you will return to the game. Purple one more loss and you will be heading home. Okay, on to round two.

Kaleb: Same thing again, they won’t expect it.

Ashley: Do you want to stick with the same one or try Fire?
Emma: Up to you.

Janelle: Let’s see who chose what element.



















Green: Fire
Purple: Water

Janelle: We have a tie! Water puts out the fire. Whoever wins this round will return to the game. Good luck!

Kaleb: Third time is the charm?
Laura: I don’t know about this…

Emma: Shoot, what do you think they’ll do?

Janelle: Okay for the final time we will see who chose what element. May the dominant element… please rise now.



































Green: Fire
Purple: Wood

The Green team hugs while the Purple team looks sad awaiting Janelle’s instruction.

Janelle: Purple team, I am sorry but you are not victorious. You fought your best and truly possessed the teamwork piece. Your friendships and strength together as partners is something that will not be forgotten. But now, it is time for you to go.

Kaleb: Good luck girls, get rid of Blue!
Emma: Great game guys.

Purple disappears behind the fire.

Janelle: Green, you did it! First time at the temple and you girls won! I’m sure you can’t wait to return back to the game. Grab your piece and show the other four teams you are here to stay!

As the Green team returns back the other four teams are shown waiting to see who the fifth team will be.

Kyle: I’d really like to see Green come back…
Mary: Me too!
Alan: Hopefully they won’t be mad at us.

The Green team comes running through and is shown hugging the remaining teams.

Janelle: Next time on Endurance! Another endurance missions mean more pieces are up for grabs.
Alan: Today Blue is going to get more than one piece to their name.
Janelle (speaking to contestants): From now on there is no Samadhi. You will be competing for something much more important.
Mitch: Pieces are nice, but a true advantage over the competition would be much more helpful.

Any specific teams you rooting for anyone?

Yeah typically in previous games the players on Brown were always seen as villainous yet in this season so far they are seen as more of a weaker team.
Blue is usually the most liked and this time around it seems they've made the most enemies.
Yellow is usually dominant in challenges where in this game they've played more strategically since they've lost an ally every round.
Red and Green were usually seen as weak and outspoken. Green has so far possessed this role so far while Red is a little more rebellious, which I really enjoyed.

I will post an episode of Endurance Awful tonight and hopefully Real Life in the next two or three days.

Episode 7 of 14: Balance Ball

The Halfway Point!

Last time on Endurance! 

The six teams competed in their third temple mission. In a physically demanding challenge the Brown and Blue teams found themselves remaining. After a carefully-made deal Brown resigned to let Blue win their third temple mission straight. Alan and Liz began to disagree on who should be sent up to temple. In a split decision Alan chose Purple, friends of Liz and Liz chose Green, friends of Alan. At the temple the Green team was victorious, sending home the Purple team. Who will follow Purple? Find out on Endurance.


The show starts off by showing the Brown and Blue teams conversing.

Alan: I guess I’m glad Green is back. Maybe we can try to get them to work with us again.
Kyle: I think no matter who you guys chose the winner of the temple would come back angry.
Alan: I know, I just didn’t want Green to go up there.
Liz: Then you should have told me, I didn’t want Purple to go at all, and now there is no way we are getting their piece!
Liz (Confessional): Alan can be mad at me all he wants but he agreed to each send one team. If I didn’t want Purple to go and he didn’t want Green to, he should have talked to me more.
Alan (Confessional): I know Liz is mad but now Green probably is our enemy because of her choice to send them. She should have just sent Red and none of this would have happened.

Yellow and Red are shown talking separate to the other teams.

Mitch: We keep losing an ally every round. I don’t know what to do.
Vanessa: Our luck in temple missions have been awful. One more loss and we will be right back at the temple of fate, probably with Green.
Mitch: I don’t know… Alan said Yellow is fair game now.
Mary: Wait, what?
Mitch: He said we have too many pieces… I know they’re your friends Mary but I don’t disagree with them.
Mary (Confessional): Is Mitch serious? Even if Blue went against us there’s no way we would ever give them our pieces. We’re not stupid.
Bear: So what can we do to stop it?
Vanessa: We need to get the Samadhi and finally give it to Blue.
Mary: Yeah! They’re 3 for 3 and I don’t know if we can take them without it…
Mitch: What about Green, do you think they’d be in?
Bear: That’s a good idea…
Vanessa: Mitch you should talk to them, you’re good at that kind of stuff.
Mary: I’m good friends with Emma and Ashley, I’ll go too.

Yellow makes their way over to confront Green.

Mary: Hey girls.
Ashley: Hey, what’s up?
Mary: We’re really sorry Blue betrayed you like that. I’m glad you made it back.
Ashley: Thanks but we aren’t really that mad, we know it was Liz and not Alan.
Mary: But doesn’t it make you worry you might get sent up again?
Emma: I know Brown wouldn’t send us up but Blue certainly would. They already think we’re mad at them so they’d be better off just sending us up again.
Mitch: Yeah I completely agree. And you don’t want to have to worry about that. Let them know you’re not mad at them at maybe they would go after Red instead.
Emma: But at temple wouldn’t it come down to Yellow and Green to go against Red?
Mitch: That’s why we need to work together, so that doesn’t happen. They can’t win another temple mission.
Mary: I really think it could work this time. We’d have a clear majority.
Ashley: I need to think about this, it’s a lot at once. But we appreciate your thoughts.
Mitch: No problem.
Mitch (Confessional): I know Green is in a tough spot, but they have no reason to trust Blue. Brown and Blue are powerful in challenges and we aren’t safe anymore. We need this alliance to happen but I don’t know where they stand. I don't want to say directly Blue would g against us. I don't want Green to just go along with them.

Janelle: Everyone, it is time to read the letter Purple left behind.

Janelle: As you all are aware, Purple was the third team eliminated from the game. However Green was able to come back and keep fighting in the game. Purple left behind the Teamwork piece and this letter. Liz, you seemed very hurt by the decision to send Purple, would you like to read the letter?
Liz: I’d love to.

“Dear final five, congratulations on your accomplishments. However not all five of you have proven why you should be there. Blue, you might be a strong team, but karma will catch up to you for getting rid of a team that completely trusted you. Brown, you two are both competitive and athletic and it seems a bit off to us you haven’t won anything. We think you might be letting Blue do the dirty work. Green and Red you girls are all sweet and it was a pleasure to play against you. Although you have not won any challenges, keep it up, you can do it! Finally Yellow, the only team left other than Blue who has won a challenge. We know you two have different views on the game but you need to unite as one or you will follow us. We give you our Teamwork piece in hopes that you will reach your full potential and compete against Blue. Good luck!

Alan: Bitter at a new level.
Christina: Yeah that just stung a little…
Janelle: Purple seemed to go out with a real bang. Yellow, you didn’t look like you were expecting that at all. Why are you so shocked?
Mitch: I just thought they were closer with Red and we already have a lot.
Vanessa: Yeah I’m completely surprised too.
Mary (Confessional): I appreciate all the pieces, I really do. But Mitch has dug us a hole we can’t get out from. But then again, I need to listen to what Purple said. If we can’t unite as one, there WILL be no Yellow.
Liz (Confessional): It hurts to know I somehow betrayed Purple… it just, seems unreal.

Janelle: Yellow you now have a commanding lead with 6 pieces.
Alan (Confessional): This is why Yellow needs to go. They are likable and have the best shot in the finals. I don’t care if they give the pieces to someone else, they are a physical and mental threat.
*Fun fact Mary was the Valedictorian of our class*
Janelle: All of the other teams are trailing by a lot… but maybe that can change today. Everyone ready for the next Endurance mission?

The camera shows a box of tennis balls with 5 planks of colored wood on one side of the lawn as well as 5 separate boxes on the other side of the lawn.

Christina: This looks really familiar…
Liz: Are we doing the same challenge again?
Janelle: Very similar! However this challenge… is NOT a targeting challenge. Today you are trying to win for your team and yours alone.
Alan (Confessional): Today Blue is going to get more than one piece to their name.
Janelle: Because… From now on there is no Samadhi. You will be competing for something much more important.
*Some contestants gasp while the others look puzzled and anxious to hear what is up for grabs*
Janelle: Unlike the first temple mission, this time you are trying to transfer balls into your own bucket. The first team to get four balls in their bucket wins and will get the Trust piece and have an advantage in the next challenge instead of a Samadhi. Sound good?
Mitch (Confessional): Pieces are nice, but a true advantage over the competition would be much more helpful.
Janelle: I can tell there is a lot riding on this mission for every team. Are you all ready?
*The teams nod in anticipation as they line up for the challenge*

Kyle (Confessional): Let’s be honest, this challenge is about stamina. Blue, Red, and Green don’t have that. It’s between Yellow and us and it’s time for us to finally prove ourselves.
Mitch: Mary we have to do this fast, it’s the only way we can win. Forget the piece we need the advantage.
Janelle: Remember if you drop the ball you must pick it up and go back to the start. Accuracy is just as important as speed. On your mark, get set…. GO!

The five teams start the challenge. Immediately Yellow is seen charging to their bucket with Brown close behind.

Janelle: Quick out of the gate is Yellow! Is this a good strategy or will they end up having to start over?
Mary (Confessional): All I can think is we can’t afford to drop this. One mistake and count us out of the challenge.
Christina (Confessional): Sure Yellow was fast to start. But Kyle and I are runners and we will make up this ground.

Janelle: Yellow gets their first ball and a few seconds later, so does Brown! Blue and Green are making their way but Red just dropped theirs! Try again ladies!
Vanessa: Ok we can’t give up, start again and get moving a little more.
Janelle: Yellow and Brown are both jogging with the ball balancing on their plank, great balance by both teams!
Mitch (Confessional): And all you’re thinking is, ‘please just let their ball fall.’ It would relieve so much pressure and let us slow down a little.
Janelle: Blue has their first in and they are back on the way to their second. And it looks like Brown has just caught up to Yellow!
Mitch: Mary we can’t give up! We need this advantage.
Kyle: Steady Christina, we can do this!

Brown gets their second ball in their bucket and a few seconds later so does Yellow.
Mary: Mitch we’re falling behind!
Vanessa: Come on guys you got this!
Janelle: Brown and Yellow are halfway done! It looks like this is a two team race!

Brown is the first to start with their third ball and start to have a lead on Yellow.
Kyle: Shoot Christina it’s going to fall off, hold up!
Christina: Lower it, lower it.
Mitch: This is our chance Mary, let’s go.
Janelle: Oh no! Brown dropped their ball. Luckily it was only a little after the start. Start again!
Mary (Confessional): Once I heard that I knew this was our mission. But we can’t stop, we have to finish it all.
Janelle: As soon as Blue and Green both place their second ball in their bucket, Yellow puts in their third! It looks like they have about a 7 or 8 second lead on Brown now!
Kyle: Christina we have to run or else we won’t catch them!
Mitch: Mary we have to go steady this time. They won’t catch us. We just can’t drop this ball!

Janelle: Yellow is about halfway to their bucket and Brown is getting their fourth! Yellow is close but Brown is showing some great speed!
Christina: Run Kyle! The ball will follow!
Mary: So close, almost there!
Janelle: It’s a very close race but the winner of the Endurance mission is…














The Yellow team!

The Brown team finishes only three seconds after and Kyle throws down the plank.
Kyle: So close, I can’t believe it.
Christina: Don’t get down on yourself Kyle, we were amazing.
Kyle: I just shouldn’t have dropped that tennis ball… it’s my fault.
Christina (Confessional): Kyle shouldn’t get down on himself. Yeah the advantage would help a lot but Yellow earned it. Going that fast comes with risk, it just wasn’t our lucky day.

Yellow goes over and shakes Browns hands.
Mitch: Great race guys.
Mary: You really scared us, you put in a great effort.
Christina: Thanks guys, you deserved it.
Kyle (Confessional): I don’t like that Yellow was the one that won. It seriously could have been anyone else and I would feel okay about it. They’re strong and this advantage might get them their first temple mission win.

Janelle: Yellow, what can I say? Seven pieces, you are off to an amazing start.
Emma: Sheesh, 7?
Alan: Too bad they only earned two.
Ashley: I can’t believe it… that’s almost unfair.
Mitch: We were outgoing, karma is a big part in this game. Maybe if you didn’t only talk to one or two teams you could have more than one piece and a long list of enemies.
Mitch (Confessional): I don’t care if people think we don’t deserve our seven pieces. We made friendships and tried to get to know everyone. Honestly, I’m furious. Sorry but there is two parts of the game – challenges and social. And the second Blue loses that temple power, they can pack their bags and go to the temple of fate.
Alan: You just make alliances based on whoever is left to try to get us out.
Mary: Mitch, stop it’s not worth it.
Mitch: I kept to my promise and didn’t target you guys. But yeah if you’re going to get rid of my allies every round, I’m going to stand up for them. Even if they are gone.
Alan: Working really well now isn’t it?
Mitch: I guess we’ll see after the next temple mission.
Liz: Guys stop it, another place, another time.
Alan: Actions speak louder than words.

Janelle: Wow, seems like there’s a lot of animosity between you two. However Yellow you still won the challenge advantage for the temple mission. But it does not mean they have the challenge wrapped up already. I will see you all at the next challenge.
Mary: Wait, don’t we find out our advantage..?
Janelle: We’ll wait until the next mission, it looks like there is enough going on already.

The teams disperse after the challenge; Yellow and Red walking off to the left, Blue and Brown to the right and Green staying in the center chatting to each other.

Emma: If we are going to switch, well now is our chance. Yellow has the advantage and needs us as much if not more than if we need them.
Ashley: I still trust Alan. Mitch’s first priority is Red and they will only use us as a pawn.
Emma: I trust Mary. And is what Blue is doing any different? No. I know Yellow gave us the Samadhi but they didn’t send us up for elimination. Just consider that.
Ashley: Neither team was right with what they did. I wish we weren’t in the middle.
Emma (Confessional): I don’t know what to do. I want to choose the right side, the side that will win the temple mission. Yellow has the advantage and are just as strong as Blue. I just think this is the best time to jump ship. Even if Blue or Brown wins they won’t know and after everything that happens today, I see Yellow going to temple.
Ashley (Confessional): Emma doesn’t understand Alan and I are close. I know she likes Yellow but I’d rather they go than us. I don’t want to betray Blue but I have no reason to trust anyone in this game anymore.

Yellow and Red are shown, Mitch looking very hurt.
Mitch: I can’t believe they’d say that.
Vanessa: They’re jealous. You guys deserve every piece you have and I mean that.
Mary: They just can’t believe they are finally at a disadvantage and it’s the only way they can handle it.
Mitch: I’m glad Alan said we were fair game last round. Seriously makes our future decisions so much easier.
Vanessa: Glad we are finally on the same page with Blue!
Vanessa (Confessional): Blue has sent us twice now, and no one can really understand what it’s like to go up twice. But now Yellow has that anger, that drive we have. It’s time to strike.
Mary (Confessional): I’m glad to see Mitch have this passion to win. We need all the determination we can in the next mission.
Mitch (Confessional): The support I have means a lot. Just to know what I am saying does make sense. I know deep down I deserve to be where I am in this game.
Bear (Confessional): I feel caught up in the middle of all of this. People’s feelings are getting hurt. This game is getting personal and it needs to stop.

Last, Brown and Blue are shown talking.
Alan: This is just getting outrageous. We have won the most missions and have nothing to prove for it. It’s garbage.
Liz: I know, you aren’t wrong. They should not have six more than us. I can’t believe it worked out like that.
Kyle: You guys have proven you deserve to be here. And I’m sure in the next mission you can do it again. We need to work together in it if given the chance. We got this.
Christina: You guys have been there for us, we will do all we can to save you both.
Alan: We can do it. Yellow has played both sides and will finally get what is coming for them.
Liz (Confessional): I just want to win the temple mission. Or Brown. I don’t feel safe if not. I like Yellow and respect them but things are too heated right now.
Kyle (Confessional): I don’t want to be sent to temple just because Blue and Yellow are in an argument. Everyone knows we are together. This round is a big risk for us, I don’t want to go because of Blue.



Janelle: Next time on Endurance!
The five teams are shown walking up to their fourth temple mission.
Janelle: The five teams will compete once again for the power to send two teams to elimination. With an advantage will Yellow be able to end the Blue teams streak?
Mitch: I’ve always wanted to be in control.

Ashley: I can’t decide, this is too much.

Kyle: I swear if you guys do this, you’re done.

Episode 8 of 14: Squaring Off 

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: I am still on a 'Real Life Endurance' kick, therefore I am finishing this series before I continue 'Endurance Awful.' Last time on Endurance!

With the Green team returning, the Red and Yellow alliance and the Brown and Blue alliance formed different tactics to make them join their side. However Ashley and Emma both had different views and loyalties towards each alliance. The five teams were faced with another Endurance mission. In a very close race Yellow outran Brown in order to win an advantage in the temple mission and their seventh pyramid piece, giving them a five piece lead over the second place team. Many teams began to question whether or not Yellow deserved to be in the position they were in, creating even more tension between the two alliances. Will the advantage be enough to help Yellow win the challenge, will Blue win their fourth temple mission straight, or will one of the other three teams win their first mission? Find out on this episode of Endurance! DISCLAIMER: All of the results of missions, and temple, pyramid piece and Samadhi selections are all true. However some dialogue is not completely accurate simply because I wasn’t involved with all of the teams’ conversations and we were pressed for time.





The episode starts with Janelle standing by the driveway.


Janelle: It’s time to start the fourth temple mission!
The five teams walk towards Janelle.
Janelle: I know after the last mission things were a little chaotic. Were you guys able to fix things?
Mitch: No, we really haven’t talked to each other.
Alan: We both have different views and until you are in that persons shoes you can’t judge.
Janelle: All right, I guess we will see today how these strategies work out for you!

The camera shows five lives of boxes on the driveway. There are also ten pieces of chalk.

Janelle: This challenge will test your trust in the other teams. In front of you are 5 lines of 6 squares, making a total of 12 triangles for each team. (Think of the Endurance 3 mission) Each partner is able to cross out one triangle for a team that they want out of this challenge. They can choose two different teams or get rid of a whole square for one team. Then they must choose the second team to go. The second team does the same and picks the next team to go, but the catch is, you cannot pick the team that just picked you to go next. Technically three teams could control the entire game, but eventually one team will be left standing. The winner can send two teams to the temple. Now Yellow, since you won the Endurance mission, you get to go first!

Mary (Confessional): I’m so worried for this mission… I have no idea where Green stands and they will be a big asset to us in this mission. We can’t lose them now.
Liz (Confessional): I’m starting to regret sending Green. If I just sent Red we wouldn’t be in this position, we’d have the advantage.

Janelle: The result of this challenge can change the game completely. Are you ready? Yellow, start us off!

Alan: What are you guys saying…
(Flashback to conversation between Emma and Ashley before the mission)
Emma: Give it one round. I trust Mary and we have played this whole game based on your terms, I want my say.
Ashley: One round. If Yellow or Red turns on us then I’m out.

Alan: You guys can’t do this to us!

Mitch: See what I said about making friendships.
Alan: It’s manipulating, not befriending.
Mitch (Confessional): I am not trying to manipulate anyone. But I want to win the game, I’m not here to make friendships. If the Yellow team is not my main focus then I’m not really playing the game, I’m letting someone play it for me. We will all still be friends when it’s all over.

Ashley: Karma will get us for this.
Emma: If we go back on our word now both sides will be against us.

Alan (Confessional): I knew it. They know who they should be loyal to, they don’t have the guts.

Emma: Ashley you have to trust me.
Emma (Confessional): Here’s my thought. If Blue wins this or even Brown, Yellow is an obvious selection for temple. But we showed them we aren’t really with them anymore and in the grand scheme of things, we are much more of a challenge threat than Red. Even if they don’t like Red, they can easily beat them in almost any challenge.
Janelle: Wow… well I have to accept your initial response. Red, you’re up!

Vanessa: What do you think Mitch?
Mitch: Let’s get rid of Blue, then there’s no way Green can flip again. They won’t have three to rotate with.

Vanessa: Oh my God!

Janelle: Red you won your first mission and I don’t think it could have been at a better time. I will meet with you all soon to find out who you are going to send to the temple of fate. Good luck with your decision.

Mitch: I’m happy we had that advantage, can you imagine if Brown won the Endurance mission?
Vanessa: I don’t want to think about it!
Bear: Yeah me either, we need to think about temple.
Vanessa: I think it’s pretty clear, Blue and Brown?
Bear: I wish we could send Green too, but we know who the real threats are.
Vanessa: If Green could actually win a mission I would be more scared of them.
Bear: Well they had the same amount left as us, luckily we had the upper-hand. I think they would’ve sent us if they won.
Vanessa: That is true. This might be harder than I thought.

Brown, Blue, and Ashley are shown talking behind the house.

Alan: I can’t believe we are going up, this sucks.
Ashley: I’m so sorry, I tried to be fair to Emma and I screwed everything up.
Alan: Well you should’ve thought of that before you took us down with you. Now you have both sides mad at your team.
Ashley: I had to be fair to my partner. Isn’t that why you sent us to temple?
Alan: Yeah but…
Ashley: Then why is it okay to send your friends to temple but not okay for me to let my partner have a say?
Alan: You know it wasn’t my choice.
Ashley: And you know it wasn’t mine in the mission. I wish I didn’t even pick you to have a turn.
Alan: It didn’t really make too much of a difference, we still lost.
Ashley: Karma will definitely have its way tonight. I hope they send us up with you so I can say I was the one to send you home. I’m going to find my partner.
Ashley (Confessional): I can’t believe I worked with Blue. They contradict themselves and try to put all the blame on me. I’m not falling for it.

Ashley walks across the yard to Emma, who is alone.
Ashley: I’m so sorry for what happened today. You are my partner and I should have trusted you more.
Emma: You should’ve. What matters is Red won and Blue didn’t. I know Yellow will do their best to keep us safe because they promised to.
Ashley: I know but it isn’t Yellow’s decision. What it comes down to is what Red wants to do and who they want to send.

Kyle is shown making his way over to the Red and Yellow teams.
Kyle: Hey Mitch, can we talk?
Mitch: Yeah sure.
The two guys move away from the other three girls.
Kyle: I know I really can’t change their minds, but I was wondering who they were thinking of sending. I feel like we are being dragged down because of Blue.
Mitch: Honestly if it had been us who won instead of Red you might’ve had a better chance. But after what went down in the mission I don’t see it happening.
Kyle: Well I couldn't just sit there and watch my team be eliminated. It sucked.
Mitch: Trust me, I completely get it. They’re still considering Green so there’s a chance.
Kyle (Confessional): I’m really concerned Brown might actually be going to the temple tonight. Anyone else could have won and I’d feel a lot better about this.

Janelle: Alright it is time to decide which two teams will be going to the temple. Red, who will it be?
Vanessa: I think it is clear who we needed to send. First we have the team that wanted to get rid of us but couldn’t. That team is…









Blue.
Liz (Confessional): It’s only fair. Now we have to prove we can win at temple too.
Bear: And next we have to choose by what team we think would’ve sent us if they won. Therefore we choose…







































The Brown team. Sorry guys, good luck at the temple.
Christina: No way…
Vanessa: What’s fair is fair. You guys haven't gone to temple yet.
Janelle: Alright, Brown and Blue it’s time for you both to go to the temple. Say your goodbyes because you never know who is coming back.
Ashley (Confessional): I can’t believe they let us stay. I need to prove to them we deserved to and we won’t let them down again.

The Brown and Blue team are shown walking to the temple. We asked them all why they want to come back.
Kyle (Confessional): I want to prove we are the strong team that everyone knows we can be. Second place is getting old.
Alan (Confessional): We have proven throughout the whole game that we are strong and here to win. I really think we deserve this the most and have overcame a lot. People think I might be mean for the way I’ve played but really I just want to win as much as if not more than everyone else.
Christina (Confessional): I think Brown has been overestimated. We are held to way too high of a standard and we just haven’t found our niche yet. If we win I think we will have an even playing field and a better chance to prove we do have Endurance.
Liz (Confessional): I think we are a determined team and some people can’t sympathize with us. We have had almost everyone target us since the start and were lucky enough to have the power. I just want to return and prove to everyone why we’ve won as many missions that we have.

The two teams walk into the temple and set down their pieces.
Janelle: Welcome Blue and Brown teams. The game, simple. To stay, not so easy. You will compete in a game similar to rock, paper, scissors, but instead is fire, water, and wood. Fire burns wood. Wood floats on water. And water puts out the fire. The first team to win two rounds will stay in the game! However the team that loses, is gone for good. Understand? Let’s start with round one.

Kyle: What do you think Christina?
Liz: We can do this Alan.
Janelle: Will the dominant element, please rise now.



































Blue: Water
Brown: Fire



Liz: I knew it!
Christina: We’re not out yet Kyle, we can still do this!
Janelle: Blue you chose water, Brown, you chose fire. Water puts out the fire, so Blue wins round one! Brown, one more loss and you will be eliminated… Alright time for round two.

Liz: Switch it up or keep it the same?
Alan: Switch it, something they won’t expect.
Kyle: We can’t lose this…
Janelle: Okay, let’s reveal who has the dominant element.


















































Blue: Wood
Brown: Fire

Kyle: Yes!
Alan: Ugh sorry Liz…
Janelle: Brown won this time! This temple is all tied up… For the last time, pick your element.

Christina: Fire fire fire.
Kyle: I don’t know if we should do it three times in a row…
Alan: I have no idea…
Janelle: Okay this is for the right to stay. Will the dominant element… please rise now.



























































































Blue: Water
Brown: Wood

Alan: I can’t believe it…
Christina: Oh my gosh, Kyle!

The Brown team hugs while the Blue team sits in silence.
Janelle: Blue team, I am sorry to say that this ends your time here on Endurance. You two worked together through everything and never gave up. The Perseverance piece could not have defined your game any better. However I’m sorry, it’s time for you to go.

The Blue team meets the Brown team in the middle and the girls hug while the guys shake hands.
Alan: You guys have to win this for us, good luck.
Liz: We know you guys can do it!
Kyle: We won’t let you down, and you can bet we won’t be back here.
Christina: Thank you guys for everything. We couldn’t be here without you.

The Blue team disappears behind the fire.
Janelle: Brown team, you are still in the game! You are not only a part of the final four, but you also beat out one of the strongest teams left. How do you feel?
Kyle: Bittersweet.
Christina: They were our friends, but we have to continue on, for them.
Janelle: And you will! I’m sure the other three can’t wait to see who is coming back. Go ahead!

The Red, Yellow and Green teams are shown sitting by the fire, waiting for the winning team.

Mitch: I really hope it’s Brown.
Ashley: Same here.
Vanessa: I think we all can agree!

The Brown team comes running through.
Kyle: Did you miss us?
Mary: Yes!!!
Mitch: Congrats guys!
Emma: So happy for you two!
The four remaining teams are shown hugging, smiling, and laughing.

With the final four left the teams are getting more and more anxious for the finals!
Mary: We are a threat now, people want our pieces and more importantly want us out.
After the dominant Blue team has left, who will take their position?
Kyle: Only Brown and Green haven’t won a mission. We are better than this.
And in the last Endurance mission, big surprises will be revealed.
Janelle: Again there will be no Samadhi. However this time, the winner has complete control of the game.
Emma: Oh boy…
Christina: We need to win more than ever.
In an Endurance mission of strength, speed and patience, which team will come out on top?
Ashley: Wait!
Mitch: Slow down!
Bear: We have to keep calm!
Janelle: I’m sorry, you have to start over.
