FIRST CAST RELEASE

Casey Cooper and Johnny Devenanzio

The awkward romance between Casey and Johnny first began on the Duel, where their canoodling became a hot topic among the cast. Johnny was sent home early, but they later reunited on the Gauntlet 3 where the rest of the cast once again speculated that something was going on between this unexpected couple. Even though they appeared on another Challenge together, the Ruins, nothing happened between the two...or did it?



Ashli Robson and Dunbar Merrill

The romance between this pair began all the way back in their original season, The Real World: Sydney. Ashli came into the house as a replacement, and immediately took a liking to Dunbar. She consistently pursued him, but became upset when Dunbar told the other roommates that she had "pleasured him" and immediately distanced herself from him. This animosity continued throughout the next Challenge, The Island, where Dunbar voted to send Ashli home.[/center]

SECOND CAST RELEASE

Piggy Thomas and Chadwick Pelletier

This pair is really old school! Piggy and Chadwick's love-hate relationship began all the way back on their Road Rules season - in 1996! Piggy developed a crush on Chadwick, but his condescending behavior put her off. However, she was invariably enamored with him, no matter how much she tried to deny it. They appeared together as partners on Battle of the Seasons. This time, though, Chadwick had married Road Rules: Maximum Velocity Tour alumna Holly. Chadwick and Piggy argued about alliances and strategy, but were ultimately sent home second. How will they react to eachother after years of silence?

Kimberly Alexander and Dave Malinosky

Kim and Dave began flirting on their original season, Real World Hollywood. After a few weeks, flirting escalated into kissing, and eventually into something more. However, Kimberly became extremely upset when Dave began bringing other girls home, and verbally reprimanded him. Kimberly then went on to have a showmance with Dunbar Merrill in two different seasons of the Challenge. How will Kim react with Dave as her teammate and Dunbar as a fellow competitor?

Beth Stolarczyk and Nehemiah Clark

This unlikely pairing began on the original Duel, with Beth and Nehemiah growing close by being on the fringes of the "popular crowd". They ended up sleeping in the same bed several times, provoking teasing from the other cast mates. Although their brief romance was cut short by Nehemiah's departure, the pair eventually turned up together again on the Gauntlet 3. Though they claim to only be "close friends", is there something more going on between Beth and Nehemiah?

Veronica Portillo and Evan Starkman

Veronica and Evan's romance began on the Ruins, where they became close after being on the same team and spending a lot of time together. Evan appreciated Veronica's body, while Veronica was glad to be close to someone from the "in crowd" of the Challenges. However, this romance was short-lived, as the rest of their team (including Evan's alliance) wanted Veronica gone. Evan had no choice but to go along with them, something Veronica will not have forgotten.

THIRD CAST RELEASE

Emily Bailey and James Orlando

Emily and James' romance began on the 2001 Challenge, Extreme Challenge. Though James began a relationship with Real World's Rebecca, it ended shortly after the show and he and Emily began dating. They appeared on Battle of the Sexes together in 2003, and became a power duo, with James doing extremely well on the guys' side and Emily being a master manipulator and strong competitor for the girls. Eventually, though, James' time came, and he was voted off. A distraught Emily quit the game, choosing to be with her boyfriend rather than stay and compete. They broke up shortly after, and have gone their separate ways, Emily having even married now. How will they work together?

Kina Dean and Randy Barry

Kina and Randy met on the 2004 Challenge, Battle of the Sexes 2, and although nothing happened between them on that Challenge, by the next one, Gauntlet 2, they had begun dating. They were placed on the same team and formed a strong duo. However, two years after the Gauntlet 2 ended, Kina discovered Randy cheating on her, and broke up with him. How will she react to him after years of separation?

FOURTH CAST RELEASE

Robin Hibbard and Dan Walsh

Robin and Dan's explosive relationship began on The Island, where they quickly grew close and began to cuddle and perhaps even something more. However, when drunk one night, Robin began a rumor about Dan's "male organ", which upset him greatly and caused the pair to fight loudly. Afterwards, Dan separated himself from Robin and their short-lived romance was certainly over. Will he be able to work with "crazy Robin" as his partner?

Jillian Zoboroski and Frank Roessler

Jillian and Frank's relationship began on the Gauntlet 3, where they became very close quickly. Another cast mate dubbed them "America's Most Boring Couple", but they were obviously enamored with each other. After Jillian was repeatedly voted into the Gauntlet, Frank angrily stood up for her. After the show ended, they continued dating, but broke up before Jillian's appearance on Fresh Meat 2. However, they've kept the details of the breakup hushed. What really went on with these two?

Jemmye Carroll and Ryan Knight

The only couple that is still dating, Jemmye and Knight originally found love on the 2010 edition of the Real World: New Orleans. Knight was Jemmye's self-proclaimed "first white boy". However, the couple's pair was riddled with volatile arguments and Knight's verbal abuse, causing Jemmye to break down and slap him in the face. She was not sent home for the action, but instead revealed her tough past, which included abusive relationships. Knight and Jemmye ended the season on a positive note, with Knight supporting her, but the pair is always arguing. Will they be able to come together and win their first challenge appearance?

Emily Schromm and Ty Ruff

Emily and Ty's relationship began and ended on their original season - Real World: DC. Emily and Ty became close and started hooking up, but his volatile and temperamental attitude caused Emily to distance herself from him, drumming up conflict and repeated arguments. They appeared on the next Challenge, Cutthroat, together, where Ty once again tried to regain Emily, but she vehemently denied him. Ty's antics are infamous for getting him hated by the rest of the cast - how will Emily deal with this?

FIFTH CAST RELEASE

Cara Maria Sorbello and Abram Boise

Cara Maria and Abram met on the recent Challenge, Cutthroat. At first, they hit it off and seemed inseparable, their off beat personalities instantly attracting each other. They ended up making the finals together, where Abram could not complete the final mission due to heat exhaustion. Despite not winning the Challenge, Cara Maria and Abram began a long-distance relationship and even toyed with the idea of moving in together, before Abram was arrested for public disturbance. In his jail cell, he got angry and spread his feces on the cell wall. Cara Maria, despite her strong feelings for him, decided that a long break would be best for the pair.

Ayiiia Elizarraras and Joey Rozmus

Ayiiia and Joey's volatile relationship began in their season of Real World, Cancun. They were at each other's throats from the get-go, constantly arguing and fighting with each other. Some of these fights culminated with Joey spitting in Ayiiia's taco and Ayiiia splashing water on Joey's guitar. Joey was eventually fired for continuous tardies at work, but came back for the season finale, right before the roommates moved out. A drunken escapade led to Ayiiia and Joey hooking up, to the surprise of the whole cast. Have their feelings toward each other mellowed or will they constantly be arguing again?

FINAL CAST RELEASE

Melinda Stolp and Danny Jamieson

Melinda and Danny first hit it off on their Real World season, Austin. They immediately formed an immense attraction to each other. This continued after the show and on two separate Challenges, Fresh Meat and Gauntlet 3, where they did everything possible to protect each other. They continued dating, then eventually got engaged, and then even got married. However, a forlorn Melinda announced on the Cutthroat premiere that she and Danny were going through a tough divorce. Their divorce completed, how will these two REAL exes compete side-by-side?

Johanna Botta and Wes Bergmann

Johanna and Wes' relationship began alongside fellow Real World: Austin roommates Danny and Melinda, and seemed to be doing just as well. They, too, appeared together on Fresh Meat, where Wes' constant arguments frustrated Johanna. They eventually broke up, with Johanna appearing on The Island and hooking up with Wes' arch-enemy, Kenny. The next time these two appeared together was the Ruins, where Johanna made it clear that she did not like Wes and threatened to sell the deed to his house. She was also involved in the plot to get rid of him, and showed animosity to his new girlfriend, Kelly Anne. These two have a lot of tough history to swallow, can they get over everything in the past and work together?

Diem Brown and CT Tamburello

Diem and CT first began a relationship on the Duel, with CT's tough appearance softening for "sweet and innocent" Diem. Their relationship continued outside the show, and throughout Gauntlet 3. They were both scheduled to appear on the Duel 2 together, but CT went on a drunken rampage on long-time enemy Adam King, severely injuring him. Before he got taken away, he verbally assaulted Diem for her wanting to take a break so she can start working on career opportunities. Diem and CT have barely spoken since that ill-fated night; will they be able to get over the horrific events that plagued them?

Heather Marter and Dustin Zito

Perhaps one of the most infamous relationships in Real World history, Heather and Dustin's partnership first came about on the most recent season of Real World, Las Vegas 2011. Despite neither one wanting to commit to a relationship, they both fell head over heels and everything seemed perfect...until Dustin's past in male-on-male adult films came out. Heather immediately broke up with him and distanced herself from him, not being able to take the thought. Dustin turned to roommate Cooke for some loving, but this pair has not been close since their season. Will Heather be able to stomach working with Dustin and win a Challenge?

Danny: “So I’m walking out, and I’m pretty excited and stoked for the Challenge, and then I see Melinda…Melinda and I just recently completed our divorce. There goes my chances of having a fun Challenge.”

TJ: Welcome to the Challenge! This Challenge has a relatively unique format, although it’s been sort of replicated from an earlier season. As I’m sure you’ve seen by now, someone who you have either hooked up with or had a relationship with is in the crowd. Well, that person…will be your one and only teammate.

TJ: And last, but certainly not least, Dustin!
*Dustin walks over*
TJ: And Dustin, as you can see, the last person left, your partner is Heather!
Heather: Actually, TJ…I’m quitting. I’m sorry. I can’t be partnered with Dustin after what happened in Vegas. I don’t want to be branded as a quitter, because I really do want to compete, but I cannot force myself to work with him…
TJ: Well, Heather, that’s unfortunate. I just don’t understand why you would come all the way out here and not even try and compete. I just don’t like quitters, ya know?
Heather: Yes, but I’m not working with Dustin. It’s not happening.
TJ: Alright, well then. Take your leave now, but you might not want to come back if you’re just going to be like this.
*Heather nods and leaves as everyone is silently in shock*
TJ: Dustin, a replacement will be brought in as soon as possible, but as for everyone else, the person next to you will be your partner for the entire challenge. I suggest burying any bad blood between the two of you early, if you plan on winning.

Dustin: “It feels terrible to just be…rejected like that. I expected more from Heather. Oh well. Good thing I won’t have to play the game with her anyway.”

Heather: “Dustin…I don’t think I will ever get over the things that happened in Vegas. Not even that, the things that happened in his past and he didn’t tell me. I really wanted to stay here and kick some ***…but not if I have to be with Dustin. It’s too much. I hate being a quitter, but it’s the only thing I can do right now.”

Ayiiia: “I thought it was really immature of Heather to just give up like that…I mean, come on, I’m with JOEY! They have Melinda and Danny, who are divorced! Really?! Good riddance, quitter.”

TJ: Now onto the rules. They are nearly identical to Rivals, but I’ll remind you all just in case. A mission will be held, and the winner of the mission will be immune from going into the elimination round, called the Jungle. However, the team that comes in last place will automatically be sent into the Jungle. Then, the rest of the teams will deliberate in order to decide the team that will join the last place team in the Jungle. Remember, there may be twists along the way. Good luck, and you’re free to go!

Dunbar: “Honestly, Ashli isn’t the most ideal partner, but we’re in a better position than most of the people in the house, so I can’t complain too much.”

Piggy: I know you’re with Holly and all that, and you have a nice little happy family at home, that’s bloody good, but I’m here to win money. You cannot just give up on any challenges. You must put forth all of your effort. I am expecting to win. Do you hear me?
Chadwick: Yes, I do Piggy, but you know what? Honestly, you’re still the same as 15 years ago. You’re freaking out and the game has not even started. Stop being so paranoid!

Dustin: “Honestly, Cooke is a much better partner than Heather could ever be. She’s a lot more athletic, smart, funny, and we get along a lot better. I’m happy.”

TJ: Now, onto today’s challenge! It will test your fear of heights, but also your teamwork. Suspended 75 feet in the air is a human-size rope ladder with ten rungs, each spaced 6 feet apart. Your goal is to get both of your team members to the top of the bell in the fastest time possible. Sounds simple, right? Well, there’s a little twist. You and your partner will be tied together…back-to-back.

*Dunbar and Ashli quickly work out an effective method and dash up the ladder with a fast time*

TJ: Today, you guys will be playing…Leap of Fate! As you can see over there, there is a contraption that will spin around. You will stand on that platform with your partner, and jump over it. Eventually, the contraption will start moving faster and faster. You will have to work together to make sure you both clear it, because the first team to not clear it, will be eliminated. Oh, yeah, one more thing: you’re going to be tied together. Let’s get you ready!

Ty: “I know Emily is undoubtedly attracted to me. She has been attracted to me ever since our first encounter on the Real World: DC. She is just too scared to admit it.”

Emily from Real World: “NO ONE likes Ty. He’s annoying, hypocritical, confrontational, petty…he’s just pretty much unbearable. The fact I have to work with him…really sucks.”

Since that, we haven’t spoken that much, but we do have a previous history, and because neither of us know that many people on this Challenge, it would be beneficial if we teamed up.”

Jillian: Really? Same with Frank and I. Breaking up is not fun. So… who do you think you can trust the most out here?

Jillian: I kind of feel the same way, but I have to put trust into Frank. I know he’s very smart and wants to win just as badly as I do.
Kina: I agree, but it’s just hard to put trust into someone who previously betrayed your trust. Especially someone who cheated on you…
Jillian: Well, if it helps any, I trust you out here as well.
Kina: Really? That means a lot. Honestly, you’re my best friend here right now. It’s really hard to relate to a lot of the people here.
Jillian: I know, I feel so old compared to all these newer cast members. So what do you think about making a pact?
Kina: Normally I don’t like playing the game dirty, but times have changed. So I guess I’ll be fine with it.
Jillian: Great! *smiles at Kina* Final two!

Jillian: So, Frank, I hope you don’t mind, but we kind of have an official alliance with Kina and Randy.
Frank: I’m fine with that. They’re a strong team. Randy’s cool too. If you want to make any more, though, you should probably come to me first and ask, just to make sure it’s fine.
Jillian: I know, but I figured that we wouldn’t be voting them in any time, so I just thought we could make it official.
Frank: I know, I understand. I’m perfectly fine with that.

*shows Kina talking to Randy*
Kina: Hi Randy, uhh, I just want you to know we have an alliance with Jill and Frank.
Randy: Uh, what?
Kina: Um…we have an alliance with Jillian and Frank.
Randy: Kina, why didn’t you tell me before you went out and started making alliances?!
Kina: Uh, because Jillian is my best friend here! I wasn’t going to send her anyway! So why not make it official?
Randy: Because when you start making alliances, you start getting all tangled in a bunch of webs of lies and deceit.
Kina: Kind of like what you did to me?!
Randy: That’s not what we’re talking to about!
Kina: It’s the same concept though! Randy, if I couldn’t trust you in real life, how can I trust you in the game?
Randy: Because, we gotta work together.

Danny: And you don’t think it’s hard for me either? Melinda, we had a DIVORCE. We’re not just gonna get over it for a Challenge. It takes years for people to “get over” a divorce.
Melinda: Yes, but these are unusual situations. Desperate times call for desperate measures. This money is a LOT. And it’s just really hard…I’m not sure if I can ever look at you the same way again.
Danny: Look, Melinda, all I want to do is win a Challenge. This is my 6th Challenge. I’m tired of losing. I know it’s hard to deal with being partners with me…believe me, I feel the same about you. It kills me, every single day. But we just really need to put the past beside us and focus on the now so we can work together and win.
Melinda: Um, I can’t just put a divorce “behind me”! Danny, you are seriously brain dead sometimes.
Danny: Melinda, I’m trying to be mature and civil and you’re not cooperating!

*they find an empty room and go in it*
Diem: What’s wrong?
Melinda: Working with Danny…it’s just too much! In real life, I’m perfectly fine, but that’s because I can avoid him and I don’t have to talk to him or see him. But here…he’s my partner! I have to work with him day in and day out and see him and talk to him…I mean, I have no choice if I want to win! It’s just too much stress and pressure and we can’t get along or agree on anything - we have terrible teamwork and we don’t like each other and everything is just too much! I cannot play the game with him!
Diem: *hugs Melinda sympathetically* It’s okay, girl…everything will work out in the end. I felt exactly the same as you the first few days here…trapped and lost…but eventually I decided to give CT a shot. It’s starting to work…I’m still very wary of him, but we’re starting to get a bit closer and work better together…the time for you and Danny will come too. It’s more complicated because of your divorce…but everything will be alright. I promise.

Joey: “Walking into the challenge, we see a huge wall with little ledges on it…and we all know we’re gonna have to climb this ****.”

TJ: Hi guys, and welcome to your next challenge! It’s called Climbing Wall. Out there, you see, we have a huge, 100 ft wall on a spinning platform. The wall has hand-and-foot holds on both sides, so it’s like a rock climbing wall. The goal of this game is to climb up one side, and then climb back down the other. Here’s the catch, though: you’ll be climbing at the same time as your partner. You will both be on opposite sides. When you reach the top, you CANNOT cross over to the other side of the wall until your partner reaches the top as well. Time stops when both of you reach the bottom of the opposite side of the wall. If either of you fall off, both of you will be DQ’ed. Sounds good?
*cast nods*
TJ: Good. CT and Diem, since you guys won the last challenge, you will decide the order of the teams.

Piggy: So, who are you thinking about voting to face Johnny and Casey in the Rainforest?
Emily from Road Rules: It’s “Jungle”…and I heard Jemmye and Knight’s name floating around…but I don’t think that’s a good idea. I’d rather put a strong team in, so that way if Johnny and Casey win, then they’ll take out a threat.
Piggy: That is a great proposition.
Emily from Road Rules: I’m not sure, but I think I can drum up enough votes for Cara Maria and Abram. I’d have to do some talking, but I’m pretty sure I could do it.
Piggy: It certainly sounds plausible.
Emily from Road Rules: You wanna do it? I’ll go talk to people right now.
Piggy: As will I.

Dave: Yes, but everyone knows you wouldn’t vote in Dunbar and he wouldn’t vote in you, so that’s basically an alliance right there. And it’s all out there and public.

*everyone claps as they walk up to TJ*
TJ: And Cara Maria and Abram!

TJ: Unfortunately, you four ended up here in the Jungle, where you’ll have to fight to stay. Today, you’ll be playing Reverse Tug of War. You and your partner will be tied together. You will also be connected to the other team by a long rope. You will all start in the middle of the arena, facing away from eachother. When I say go, you’ll run and try to pull the opposite team along with you. The first team to pull the other team all the way over to their flag will win the Jungle and be going back to the house! The team that does not will be sent home immediately. Good luck and I know you all do not want to lose, so try hard!
