Endurance 7: Junawa

Junawa is a fictional island in the pacific. It is a tropical island much like Endurance 3 Hawaii (that's my favorite season)

Oh, and here are a few notes for the first episode (it's almost done!)

(I) means that when the person was speaking it was in their interview
(c) means that when the person was speaking it was in the confessional

All other dialogue takes place in the present type

Episode 1 Part 1: meet the contestants

JD: Welcome to Endurance 7 Junawa! Right now, 20 contestants are making their way past the beach and into the beautiful tropics of this small island in the Pacific.

*Camera shows 20 kids climbing through the rain forest*

Amanda, 14, Gildford, Montana
Jason, 15, Los Angleles, California: I’m here to win, and I’ll do whatever it takes
Janice, 14, Raleigh, North Carolina
Cody, 13, Boise, Idaho
Kaylyn, 15, Hilo, Hawaii: I’m excited to see who my partner’s going to be. I think my greatest advantage is going to be teamwork.

JD: These 20 contestants are going to be tested to become their ultimate best. They will have to endure alliances, relationships, and plenty of twists and turns.

*Camera pans back to the contestants*

Christine, 15, Dallas, Oregon: I’m small and people may underestimate me… they’ll see.
Daron, 15, Minneapolis, Minnesota
Paul, 12, thingyson, Tennessee
Melody, 14, Cadillac, Michigan: I’m mostly here to have fun, it’s what I am best at!
Joseph, 15, Gettysburg, South Dakota

JD: They are going to have to learn to work together, not just with their partners, but also with the other teams.

*contestants*

Destiny, 14, Longview, Texas: People think I’m mean. Well I’ll do whatever it takes to win, even if people don’t like it.

Anthony, 14, Portland, Maine
Courtney, 13, Ada, Oklahoma: I’m kind of a quiet person, but I hope people won’t judge me.

JD: And now, it’s time for them to see their home for the next 3 weeks

*contestants*

Rose, 13, Bellevue, Washington
Roy, 15, Wichita, Kansas
Lena, 15, Spring Hill, Florida: I try to be nice to everyone, and I think that will really carry me far in this game.
John, 13, Dayton, Ohio
Ashley, 15, Clinton, Missouri: I’m determined to win

*The contestants enter a clearing in the rain forest. A river runs way on the right side and the huts right next to it with a dock leading out. The 7 pyramid poles were on the left. In the middle were 10 benches with one stump facing them*

(I)Melody: This whole place is so beautiful and tranquil! It’s amazing and I can’t wait to stay the night in the huts!

JD: All right guys, come on in and take a seat!
Kaylyn: Hey JD
JD: Hey Kaylyn, Christine.

(C)Kaylyn + Christine: yeah, we are best friends!

JD: Congratulations on making it this far!
Group: woo! Yeah! *claps*
JD: Haha, great. Now, I see you all eyeing those huts over there? Well there are only 7 beds in each. That means that 3 boys and 3 girls are going home tonight.
*the group exchange nervous looks and sad faces*
JD: But before we play the right to stay game, we’re going to let you spend some more time with eachother. Enjoy your time! See you soon.

*JD exits the clearing and the contestants rush off to the huts*

Rose: These huts are cool! Wow…
Amanda: Oh, the beds are hard.
Christine: Who cares? This is great!
Kaylyn: Lets go for a swim!

*The boys were already outside in their swimming trunks*

Nicky: The water is freezing!
Destiny: Don’t be such a baby…oo! Cold! Brrr…
Ashley: So much for swimming

(C)Amanda: yeah, the water was FREEZING. So we all hung out around the hammocks and talked, we pretty much all got along =D
(C)Christine: I’m not so sure about Jason. He seems really full of himself and that annoys me. I don’t get along well with Ashley or Destiny either. Lena’s really nice, I hope she stays. And of course Kaylyn!

Next time on Endurance Junawa!
It’s time to play the right to stay! 3 boys and 3 girls will leave the island forever. Emotions will run high *shows Rose and Lena hugging and crying* and tensions will grow *shows Amanda sitting alone and glaring* you don’t want to miss it!

Episode 1 Part 2: Right to Stay

*Camera shows the contestants filing into the benches (now referred to as the pit). JD is sitting on the stump*

JD: So, do you like the huts?
Group: Yeah!
Amanda: The beds don¡¦t look to comfortable though.
JD: Well those huts, and beds, are yours for the next 3 weeks¡Kif you can get past the right to stay challenge.
*everyone looks at each other nervously. Kaylyn looks teary*
JD: Kaylyn, is there some one here that you¡¦ve bonded with?
Kaylyn: Yeah. Me and Christine, we clicked from the beginning. It's hard to think we might never see each other again after today.
*Christine hugs her*
JD: It looks like the two of you have definetly developed a bond. But today, 3 boys and girls will be leaving. Lets head over to the challenge.

*They walk to the river where there is a large structure. 10 platforms with ropes above each faced them. It resembled the Endurance 4 right to stay*

JD: Here you can see 10 platforms and 10 ropes. You will have to hold on to the ropes as you are dragged back into the water. There you will have to hang on as long as you can until the first 3 fall. Up first, the boys.
*The boys get into position and the ropes drag them very fast into the water*
Melody: Come on boys! Don¡¦t give up!
JD: The water is very cold, let¡¦s see who can ignore the pain and hang on.
Girls: Go boys!
JD: 3 minutes have past!
Joseph: My legs are numb!
Cody: Ah! My hands are burning¡Kwoah!
JD: OH! Cody almost fell but he has managed to hang on.
Christine: Hang on Cody!
Janice: Come on Daron! Roy!
Jason: This is cake!
JD: 5 minutes has passed and, oh! Daniel just fell.
Girls: No!
Melody: Hang on Anthony!
Paul: argh! This hurst so much!
Rose: No Paul!
*splash*
JD: and there goes Paul, just one more boy and this game is over.
*splash*
JD: and there goes Roy! Game over!
Boys: Oh yeah! Wooo!!

(I)Paul: I was trying to hang on but the water was really cold and my hands were burning on the rope...I tried my best I guess.

JD: Okay girls, you¡¦re up next!
*The girls now get into position and they are pulled back*
Nicky: Woo! Go girls!
Jason: Come on Ashley, hang on.
Joseph: Let¡¦s go girls!
Ashley: Hang on Destiny, don¡¦t leave me.
Destiny: I won¡¦t Ash, I won¡¦t.
JD: 4 minutes you girls have been hanging on, and just look at the focus, none of them want to give in.
Anthony: Woo! Yeah girls! *claps* ¡KThey¡¦re tough¡K
Amanda: No Lena!
JD: Woah Lena almost let go! She¡¦s hanging on with one hand!
Lena: I can't...Ah!
JD: Oh, and Lena¡'s out.
Christine: Hang on Kaylyn!
Kaylyn: Don¡'t worry.
Ashley: What ¡s everyone complaining about??
*splash*
JD: Rose fell! Only one more girl to fall, who will it be?
Courtney: Come on, someone fall.
Melody: It¡'s so cold!
*splash*
JD: And Janice is out!
Girls: Finally! Yes! Woo!

(I) Janice: *crying* I thought I had it, I thought I had it.

*All the remaining contestants line up and are wrapped in towels*
JD: Congratulations! You are the 14 official Endurance players!
Group: Woo! *cheers and claps*
JD: Tomorrow is the partner selection game, so go and rest up, say goodbye to your friends who were eliminated, and we¡¦ll see you in the morning.
Melody: Later JD

(C)Amanda: Yes! I made it! I am so excited and I can't wait to get my partner. I hope it's Jason, he's really strong.
(C) Anthony: This great! I am glad Melody made it, she's hilarious and goofy like me. And Christine, Kaylyn and Cody, they're funny too, I can tell we'll get along great.
(C) Christine: *shivering* I t-told myself th-that if I made it I w-would jump in th-the river! It f-felt awsome!

*The group is gathered around the hammocks*
Amanda: I'm just going to come out with it, I want Jason as my partner.
Ashley: Yeah, well he may not want you. Ever think of that?

The official Endurance players will choose they're partners. But not everyone will get who they want. Stay tuned!

Episode 2: Partner Selection

*JD approaches the huts*
JD: Allright, is everyone up?

*The endurance players emerge from the huts and stand in front of JD*

JD: Did everyone sleep okay?
Group: yeah...
JD: Honestly, did anyone enjoy the beds?
Group: *laughing* No
JD: Well, yesterday, 6 contestants were eliminated. Today, 2 more will be eliminated.
Group: NO!

*The group exchanges looks of shock*

JD: I was just kidding. *sighs of relief* But, today you will be choosing your partners. I suggest you let everyone know who you want as your partner, and what color you want. Only 1 person today will have final say in who their partner is going to be. I'll see you soon.
*JD jogs out*

*The group is gathered around the hammocks*
Melody: Let's make a list.
Ashley: Okay, so Christine and Cody for sure.

(C)Cody: I definetly want Christine as my partner. We both get along great and we balance eachothers strenghts and weaknesses.

Anthony: I want Melody!
Melody: Yes! I agree, I want Anthony.
Ashley: Okay okay, and then Kaylyn and Joseph?
Joseph: Yeah I--
Nicky: I want Kaylyn!
Ashely: Kaylyn?
Kaylyn: *looking uncomfortable* I want Joseph...
Nicky: *dissapointed*

(I)Nicky: I really want Kaylyn as my partner because she seems really strong and smart. And she would just be the perfect partner.
(I) Kaylyn: The reason I chose Joseph was because I think that we would have GREAT teamwork, and both mine and nicky's personalities would just clash.

Ashley: So then we have Courtney and Daron, Destiny and Nicky, Amanda and John, and me and Jason.
Amanda: Wait, I wanted Jason as my partner, I said so yesterday.
Ashely: But he already said he wanted ME as his partner.

*The group are disperssed through out camp, Amanda is sitting alone on the steps of the hut and glaring in Ashley's direction*
*JD jogs into camp and they gather by the river*

JD: so, you've had a chance to discuss your partners, now it's time for the mission. You'll probably recognize it from Endurance Hawaii.
*The group exchange's looks. Some are excited, others are worried*
JD: We took an online poll of the favorite partner selection game and the Endurance Hawaii won. But we've changed it a little bit. The launch point is somwhere behind the trees, so you won't be able to see the ball until it comes over the treetops. Let's get into position, everyone behind this lenght of rope.

*The group clusters behind a sort of rope fence, marking the boundry*
JD: Remember, who ever catches ball number one gets final say in who their partner is going to be *camera zooms in on Amanda* Launch!
*after a few moments a small ball appears over the trees.*
JD: oh! Jason almost had it but it slipped....and Joseph has ball number one!
Kaylyn: yeah Joseph! *Nicky kicks the ground*
JD: Here comes ball number two, launch!
*The ball sails over the group, Christine jumps up and catches it*
Christine: Woo! Yes!
JD: That took some guts! Ball number three, launch!

JD: Okay, the balls have been caught, now it's time to choose partners and colors. Daron, you get to pick the first color, which is it?
Daron: I'm going to go with Purple JD.
JD: Okay, head on over. Cody, which color?
Cody: Yellow

(C) Cody: Christine and I decided on yellow because both our favorite team was Yellow from Endurance Hawaii.

JD: Head on over. Okay Destiny, you can either pick a color or choose Cody or Daron to be your team mate, which will it be?
Destiny: I'm going to pick Red

And so begins partner selection. Will everyone stick to the list? or will others have their way? *Camera zooms to Nicky* See next time on Endurance.

Episode 2 Part 2: Partner Selection

JD: allright Destiny, head on over to read. Next is Melody. Do you want to choose a partner or color?
Melody: I want to choose Grey JD!
*murmurs of "curse" and "grey" are heard*
Melody: I'm not worried about any sort of "curse"
JD: ha ha, well decided. Go ahead. Now John, you've got a pick of two girls or a color.
John: I want blue
JD: Head on over. Courtney what or who will you choose?
Courtney: I want to be Daron's partner!
JD: allright! our first potential pair. Head over to purpleJason?
Jason: Green please JD

*Kaylyn picks orange and Nicky picks Orange*

JD: So it looks like we have 2 potential teams:
Purple- Daron + Courntey
and Orange- Nicky + Kaylyn
But I want to draw your attention to Amanda's numbered ball. She's holding number 5 . Amanda, I want you to take a look on the underside of that ball. What do you see?
*Amanda's eyes widen as she looks*
Amanda: It looks like a boy and a girl, a team?
JD: That's right. Whom ever Amanda now chooses for her partner, they are a lock to be partners for this game. she cannot be bumped. So Amanda, which boy out there will you choose?

Episode 2 Part 3: Partner Selection


Last time on Endurance Junawa: The remaining contestants competed for the right to choose partners! 14 balls were caught and the teams so far are:

Purple: Daron + Courtney
Yellow: Cody + ?
Red: Destiny + ?
Orange: Kaylyn + Nicky
Grey: Melody + ?
Green: Jason + ?
Blue: John + ?

JD: So Amanda, whom ever you choose will be a lock for your partner! Who are you going to choose?
Amanda: *looks at the guys al ready out on their colors* *glances at Ashley standing 1 person away from her and smiles* I am going to pick Jason!

Everyone: *looking at Ashley and back to Amanda*
Ashley: *glares angrily at Amanda*

JD: Allright Amanda, head over and join Jason on the green team, niether you or Jason can be bumped!
Jason: *looks apoligetically at Ashley as he hugs Amanda*
(C) Ashley: She has made herself my WORST enemy

JD: Next up is Anthony, all the colors have been picked. You can either bump someone out, except Amanda or Jason, or pick any girl who does not have a partner.
Anthony: I am definetly going with Melody!
Melody: *smiles* Yes!
JD: Anthony and Melody are now on the Orange team, but either one of them can be bumped.

JD: Next up is Ashley. Now Ashley, I think there was a bit of a surprise there when Amanda chose Jason...
Ashley: *forcing a laugh* yeah, sort of.
JD: Did you want him as your partner?
Ashley: Yeah, I did. *glances at Amanda*
JD: Well you now have a difficult decision, who will you choose now for your partner?
Ashley: *thinking* John.
JD: Okay, head over to join John on the Blue team.

JD: Christine, quite a catch there!
Christine: *smiling* yeah
JD: Well I think it'll pay off, because unless Joseph chooses you as his partner, you'll get the one you want...
Christine + Joseph: *smile to each other, thinking the same thing*
JD: So who will you choose?
Christine: Cody!
JD: Allright, head on over. Christine and Cody the potential Yellow team!

JD: Now Joseph! *claps him on the shoulder* Very big decision you have to make, holding ball number 1 there. Do you know who you want?
Joseph: Oh yeah!
Kaylyn: *smiles*
Nicky: *looks worried*
JD: Well I won't keep you waiting...Who's it going to be?
Joseph: I want to be partners with Kaylyn!
JD: Nicky, that means you've been bumped!

*Joseph walks over to the Orange triangle and stands next to Kaylyn as Nicky steps out*

(C)Nicky: I knew he's choose her...but I had to try.

JD: Nicky, you can go to the only open spot left, which is the Red team with Destiny. Head on over.

JD: I am looking at the 7 official teams of Endurance Junawa! Congratulations!

Purple: Daron + Courtney
Red: Nicky + Destiny
Orange: Joseph + Kaylyn
Yellow: Cody + Christine
Green: Jason + Amanda
Blue: John + Ashley
Grey: Anthony + Melody

*Everyone Claps, Nicky and Ashley half-heartedly*

JD: Get to know your partners, because your first mission will be in a couple days! We'll meet later to hand out pieces. *Jogs out of scene*

~In the boys hut~

Ashley: Ugh! I can't believe Amanda would do that.
Nicky: I can...
Ashley: How are you and Destiny getting along?
Nicky: Allright. She's really into talking about how horrible the showers and beds are so it gets kinda annoying.
Ashley: She's just not used to talking to you, she'll come around.

~The Hammocks~

*Daron + Courtney are watching Cody, Christine, Joseph, and Kaylyn swim in the river*

Daron: You can tell they'll be an alliance.
Courtney: Yeah...what about us?
Daron: I'm pretty close with John...but he's with Ashley now and I don't know-
Courtney: Yeah I'm not sure how I feel about her.
