anyone else think it was a sudden change made by the producers/staff for only one team to compete? it seems like the challenge was designed as a relay where each team gets their own colored flag. the only reason i could think of them changing it would be because they were afraid cealey would throw it?

Agreed! What's the point of doing superteams if only one team does the mission?

"oh no purple won" *cough* *cough* But don't they set up the stuff for the missions before the contestants even get to the location for whatever Endurance they're on? So they had the mission planned even before Purple won the mission where they got to pick the superteams which means that they had the whole superteams mission planned like that the whole time. And I just think it's stupid that one team had to do all the work But if it wasn't like that, then yeah I can see Cealey doing something like that.

but i would think that the producers would keep it as it was supposed to be if cealey was going to throw it. they would want the after-math drama of her throwing it. i actually think that it was set up in advance for only one team to compete

I have to agree that the mission was done in advance. However, if it were all the teams competing in "Superboats" and Cealey drowned on purpose, it will be quite funny! However, it would hurt the show. I think the superteam mission could be improved; too bad it was the last one (for now).

Instead of making only one team to compete, the producers should have made the rule that whoever threw the game would be automatically sent to the temple

I did think this twist was dumb because it's not even a Superteam, it's.. just... a team lol. With some other teams really hoping they win.

I know this post was from a long time ago (lol), but I had an idea: what if the superteam mission involved something quantifiable? It could be anything from scoring points in archery to how many seconds each person can hold their breath underwater. The superteam that gets the best combined score wins; on the losing team, the two teams that score the worst automatically have to go to temple.
So if Cealey would have done poorly on purpose on such a mission...Green Team would have gone to temple, along with whichever of Blue or Yellow did worse.
Somehow, I think Cealey would have given maximum effort if it was set up like that!
