Authors Note: This is my fanfic, Endurance Thailand! This will follow the basic Endurance structure, and it's played in Phuket, Thailand. I'd appreciate comments, reviews, and such! I hope you enjoy, this will be a fun experience for me, and I hope this will apply to you as well! So let's begin.
Episode #1: Welcome to Thailand! (Right-To-Stay)
[In the opening scene, we find a brand new host to welcome us. He's sat on a white-sanded beach, moving from clips to the huts, the great big trees, and finally of the river, fading back to this host. A panel is found in the bottom of the screen, introducing the host as T.J.]
T.J: Phuket, Thailand. Home to the next season of Endurance, is the largest island of Thailand. Home for tourism, we find ourselves in a secluded island. Now, we call it the home for 16 teenagers who are going to be featured on this well-anticipated, dramatic season of... Endurance.
T.J: The island of Phuket will be home to these 20 teenagers as they fight battles, overcome mental and physical challenges for one goal: to be crowned Endurance Champions.
[Another change, as the introduction of the cast-mates is a snippet of their audition tape with a name and age panel.]
Larisa, fourteen
Mason, fourteen
Jaquelyn, fifteen: Sure, I share the name with someone who didn't do so hot in Endurance, but you can bet that I'll do well. I'm not just a preppy cheerleader, y'know.
Raymond, fifteen
T.J: These kids will pit against nineteen strangers, accompanied by someone to work it all out. Friendship, trust, and teamwork is a few of the many qualities you'll need.
Fernando, sixteen
Kennedy, fifteen
Ian, fifteen: I'm definitely not the strongest guy here, but I'm a witty person. I'll excel in the mental challenges and with a strong girl by my side, a brains and brawn duo can do well!
Felicity, fourteen
T.J: Not just friendship will take you all the way, a strong mind will do you more than good. With mind, intelligence, and wit, another few of the qualities, you can make it to the top.
Analeigh, fifteen
Oscar, fourteen
Ellie, fifteen: I'm your sporty girl. I can set my mind to do anything, and I mean anything. Consider me the girl to beat.
Michael F., fourteen
T.J: Some more attributes you'll need? Of course you can't get by with just trusting and a brain, you'll need the strength to get through this. With a tough mind and a tough physical build, you can definitely find yourself winning.
Gabriel, fourteen
Kiara, thirteen
Michael B., fourteen: I'm soooo gonna fly under the radar. I definitely see me being closer with the girls than the guys. I can get them on my side, which is a good quality, I'd say.
Karina, fifteen
T.J: Of course the main attribute needed, the Endurance!
[The theme song plays, which I won't get into, I'm quite lazy. It follows up with the cast arriving to T.J, in front of the poles, and they immediately know him from his acting works.]
T.J: Welcome to Endurance! I'm hoping you know me. No need for introduction? Never true. T.J here, and I'm your new host!
[All claps and cheers, you can hear a girl shriek "I love you" and one guy mocking lines from a movie of T.J's, followed my laughs.]
T.J: This is Phuket, Thailand, as if you didn't hear that repeatedly by now. You can now call this home. See those huts? They can potentially be your house. Just kidding.
T.J: I'm kidding because it's not potentially home, it is your home. We're cutting straight to the fun, you're all living here. That means no Right-To-Stay, but there is in fact a challenge today. Now, as you guys freak out about that, let's walk over to the other side of the bridge.
[Following the host, they walk across the short bridge to find eight colored piece polls, with a board beside the first one colored red, with the fourteen pieces.]
T.J: Get associated with the pieces. Perseverance, Courage, Trust, Heart, Luck, Discipline, Strength, Leadership, Commitment, Knowledge, Teamwork, Ingenuity, Friendship and Karma. In order to win Endurance, you'll need all fourteen in the end. And you want to know where the Temple of Fate is, right?
[T.J points to a bamboo made structure not too distant from the huts and piece polls itself, a dock to the side of it. With shocked reactions, chants are heard.]
T.J: Yeah, it's close, but that doesn't mean you'll have viewers. The Temple of Fate is a private place for 2 teams who are in risk of elimination. It's not the trek we've had previously, but the use is the same: to determine your fate. So that's Endurance Thailand for you! You wanna get associated before the mission today? 'Course! Go off!
Larisa Confessional: Thank God for no right-to-stay, but I'm quite curious to see what the mission is.
Raymond Confessional: What I'm concerned about is the girls. Some cute girls I spot!
[The scene changes to boys at the hut.]
Michael B.: Daaaang, Michael F., is it? There wasn't a chance to wipe you out to be the only Michael!
Michael F.: Nah bro, don't expect me out anytime soon, though.
Oscar: The only Oscar here, and boy, I'm gonna be the winner. Don't get too cocky.
Raymond: I just wanna take a double take at those girl's faces!
[It moves from the boy's hut to the girl's hut through the parallel windows.]
Felicity: Partners. Ideas? It's obvious that's the mission. I mean we had enough time on the boats, I feel I kind of have dibs on Raymond? We're obviously the closest.
Analeigh: I felt we had a stronger connection, Raymond and I.
Felicity: Don't act like you're gonna be able to pick him, though. You're not gonna get a chance, your skinny self has no build to win. Plus I didn't see any chemistry.
Analeigh Confessional: Felicity is now known as the loudmouth, arrogant annoying girl of this season. Consider her the Nicole, but less commanding of the game. She's not going far.
[The scene forwards after commercial, and it's been some time the people have been together. It is now dark, and the group is found at a field of sand, where they see T.J.]
T.J: Mission time, guys!
Mason: But it's so dark!
Karina: And coooold.
T.J: No complaining! You guys got any Endurance at all? I hope you thought about partners, 'cuz that's what's happening right now. What the objective is simple, in heats of guys and girls, I'm launching colored balls. The boy and girl with the same colored ball is a team, simple. It's fair and physical, that's all.
[The boys position themselves as they are first, and the red colored ball is launched. All the guys go for the balls, with the exception of Michael B., standing there. A group of Fernando, Mason, and Michael F. are the main people going for the ball, as the fight ends and Michael F. wins the ball]
Michael F. Red all day, baby!
Fernando: Keep that arrogance up, kid.
Michael F. Who's the colored one, huh?
[The next ball, green, is thrown, and Fernando finds himself in the main brawl again, this time with Raymond. Inaudible dialogue is spoken as Ray backs off to let Fernando take green.]
Fernando: Now we're both colored, bro! Front-runners, I say?
T.J: Ray, what was that?
Raymond: Fernando and I are the best bros so far in the game, I think, and I hope the girls we told to follow suit will do it.]
T.J: In the guys game, we see fight for colors. For girls, it's the fight for the partner. Do you guys feel bad having no control over your partner?
[Crowd chatter is followed with them positioning again for ball three, the Blue ball, which is practically made for Mason as he catches it with no trouble. The scenes fall faster, Yellow goes to Oscar, Purple for Ian, Orange for Raymond, Gray to Gabriel, and Brown to Michael B.]
T.J: Now the boys got their partners, how about the girls? Position up! Now, the colors are a randomized order, so you won't be prepared if you have a partner in mind. Launch!
[The ball is thrown, the Brown ball. No one goes for the ball as they don't wanna be stuck with Michael B., as Jaquelyn takes one for the team as she walks over to grab it.]
Michael B. -claps- Whoo! Dream team!
Jaquelyn: -unenthusiastically smiles- We can do this.
Ellie Confessional: Poor Jaquelyn. I will praise you and reward you and love you for that.
Michael F. Confessional: I think we can establish that they're not going far, they got a weak guy and the nicest girl. It's gonna be physical and politics, and they ain't got that.
[The next ball is thrown, and as Orange is thrown, both Analeigh and Felicity strive to be Raymond's team, accompanied by a few other girls like Ellie and Kennedy. In a rough battle with Analeigh and Felicity practically killing each other, Analeigh proves victorious, flaunting the ball in the air.]
T.J: Wow! Now, Ana, did you fight with Felicity for that ball just for Ray and his looks?
Analeigh: Although that was probably her silly mindset, we discussed this and we decided to be partners because it's a brains and brawn duo. I'm really happy!
[They go into their colored triangle, hugging it out as Felicity, with a frown, awaits the ball. It's red and she, along with plenty other girls run for it. It's Michael's, who proved to be a front runner. Felicity comes victorious.]
T.J: Bummed about the whole Ray thing? You got one of the strongest, don't be sad.
Felicity: I guess. He'll do, for sure. We'll do so well. I'm not even lying how happy I am, we'll beat Ray and that other one like nothing!
[Ana rolls her eyes and the scene speeds up where they find girls fighting and moving with partners to colored triangles. It then goes to T.J.]
T.J: That's it! Kennedy, that's Purple for Ian, which leaves Karina with Gray, Gabriel.
[All the teams are in colored triangles.]
T.J: And that makes our teams for Endurance, Thailand. These are our eight pairs fighting for the title of Endurance Champs.
RED: Michael F. and Felicity
BLUE: Mason and Ellie
GREEN: Fernando and Kiara
YELLOW: Oscar and Larisa
ORANGE: Raymond and Analeigh
PURPLE: Ian and Kennedy
GRAY: Gabriel and Karina
BROWN: Michael B. and Jaquelyn
T.J: Alright, so as you can see we got the board of pieces and you're each getting one. Go pull one out and as you return to the huts place them in the colored poles, if you can see that is!
[The teams grab their pieces after deciding, Felicity sneakily grabbing the one Analeigh reached for. Larisa and Oscar of the Yellow team are the last to choose, as they leave the remaining six pieces to be won on the board. They return to the huts and we see the girls doing the honor of placing them upon the poles. The episode ends with the poles and a piece on each.]
