Last time on Endurance Amazon: An even bigger buckle surfaced within the Red team's partnership, making it inevitable to everyone else: Colleen: You need to make friends with the strong teams! Devon: Stop tellin' me what to do and changing sides even more! Colleen: Oh, yeah! I'm the one who's notorious for changing sides?!! And YOU had the nerve to say that??!!!!Orange tried desperately to win to evade a trip to Temple with Brown, but their efforts went unrewarded when Purple won:Troy: Yeeaaaahhh!!! Purple team hugs Angela: It's us and yellow all the way!Orange then hit another setback when they were sent to the Temple of Fate with the Brown team.At the Temple, Orange successfully cheated their destiny once again, making Brown the fourth team eliminated from the game.Brown team disappears behind the flames. Today, we've gone from twenty contestants to eight teams to the final four, and they'll get the shock of all time when this game becomes about brains rather than strength. Who has the Luck to be the most mentally strong? Find out as we see who possesses the greatest Endurance!
The theme song begins: 8 TeamsShows teens walking up the mesa 16 ChallengesShows a guy pulling himself up on a pulley 350 Inches of Rain a YearShows the jungles and mountains with the wildlife Endurance: AmazonShows the Endurance: Amazon logo JD walks towards the huts: JD: Come on out you guys! The teams come out and sit down on the steps JD: Just another sunny but dirty day in the jungle, right? Kids: Sure! JD: Well, you've done it. You guys have made it to the final four! But before you can get to the end and call yourselves champs for sure, you still have a few bits of work remaining for you. You guys obviously know why I'm here of course; last night, the Brown team was eliminated from the competition. Despite the fact that they're on their way home, I've got the Perseverance piece which belonged to them and a letter that they wrote. Colleen, do you wanna read it? Colleen: Oh, well..... I'd love to!Brown team's letter:
Dear everyone whom we've all bonded and made friendships with in the past several weeks:
We wanna open this note by saying that we're very grateful to have come back from losing on the first day and getting to the final five! Despite all the drama, targeting and other stuff we forgive each and every one of you for being a helping hand in our time here. Red, you guys need to sort out your issues and not change your support constantly; you need to return to being friends rather than a team that plays the turncoats. Purple and Yellow, we admire you with all of our heart although we were on opposite sides; your loyalty, your relationships and your techniques should make you proud of winning so much. Finally for Orange, you guys have been perennially picked on, underestimated and given so many low expectations but you brush off those beatings and don't stop believin'; and surely we give our lone pyramid piece to you so you get a shot of being the Endurance champ! Well that's all for now, even though we wish we could write over a thousand pages, but this is how much we can say even though we're out but never gone!
Love from the second-chance team, Meredith and ZacharyJD: Well, how bout that? Brielle: That was a certainly positive letter!JD: Sure was, wasn't it? But now Orange goes from having zero to 1 piece which puts 'em back on the board. Landon: Finally! Karina: The break we've needed for so long!JD: As of now, Yellow still clings to the lead with 5 pieces, Purple has 3, Red has 2 and Orange now has 1. Obviously, you need all 14 pieces to declare yourselves the champs and we've only got a couple days to get to that point. Well, today of course, we're playing for another pyramid piece and the Samadhi. I'll let you think about that and I'll see you later on at the mission. Endurance Amazon Teams and Pieces:Purple team: Troy and Angela=Teamwork, Discipline and TrustRed team: Devon and Colleen=Friendship and CommitmentYellow team: Jason and Brielle=Heart, Knowledge, Strength, Leadership and CourageOrange team: Landon and Karina=Perseverance Karina and the boys are talking by the hammocks:Karina: You know what I've noticed about the girls?Jason: What?Karina: Angela's not even talking to me altogether; she thinks I told you something bad about her!Troy: Oh, she's just judgmental.Karina: But what I still don't get is what I did to those girls! Landon: I think Colleen automatically hates you and the other two girls just act like lapdogs around her. Karina: Exactly; Colleen's not even genuine and she manipulates others to be a petty and jealous brat!Jason: I think all it is that you confide in us better than you do with the girls.Devon: At least you won't have to quit talking to us 'cause of the girls who think you're mean when you're not!The girls are all talking in their hut:Angela: You wanna know what ticks me off about Orange?Brielle: Let me guess-- Karina flirts with all the guys and makes 'em act all dumb.Colleen: It'd be a whole lot easier if Orange wasn't here.Brielle: By that you mean?Angela: Orange is just completely impossible to get rid of!Colleen: Yeah, can you believe she thinks that you two are my followers with me as the leader?Brielle: Oh, yeah; while we're at it, let's recap what Orange has been the victim of thanks to our intimidation tactics— they've had the Samadhi, which they overcame and they were stripped of their pieces and they've been to the Temple of Fate twice.Colleen: Why can't Orange just take a hint and go home already!Angela: They can't go home 'cause they're a team of luck.Brielle: Whoever wins today from us 3, you've gotta target Orange for sure.
Int. Brielle: If one out of us three wins today, Orange will be lessened more because of their infamous track record which includes screwing up multiple friendships of ours and they just need to go.At the mission: JD: Hey guys! All: Hey! JD: Watching you come down here, I'm almost searching for the rest of you; you know what I mean when I say it's only four teams. With that, we oughta go directly to the mission. Now, in the past this season, we've tested your strength, stamina and your resolve; but for this mission, we're testing your wits! That's right; the winner of today's endurance mission is gonna get the Luck pyramid piece and of course— this object of devious means that I call the Samadhi. Here's the mission today— under the category of brains, you're gonna have to solve a three-dimensional coral reef puzzle you see in front of you; as you can see, there are several protrusions and indents shaped like square-rings that resemble teeth. There are actually six layers altogether, and you're gonna have to move along the coral reef while aligning the teeth so they can properly fit. The first team to assemble the coral reef correctly wins the Luck piece and the Samadhi. Does that sound acceptable to you? All: Sure! JD: Then let's get ready and in position! ...JD: Alright, the objective here is to put together the coral reef properly and win another piece and the Samadhi! On your mark, get set, GO!! Teams begin to get the square-rings of teeth and fit them into the puzzle Troy: Okay, we gotta turn the tooth this way! Angela: I'll try and get the other two the other way!Jason: We need to go one at a time vertically!Colleen: Trust me; I know what I'm doing! Devon snickers: Yeah right! Colleen: Don't backsass me!Landon: Okay, we're halfway there.JD: You've gotta keep workin' it; just have to keep moving till they fit right. Angela: We're almost done on the first half!Colleen: Ugh! This tooth won't fit! Devon: Maybe you didn't spin it right.Karina: We're almost there; only about one more layer to go! Landon: I'll get the left side of the layer, you get the right!JD: Looks like Orange's just about done! Colleen: That's impossible!Landon: Well it's happening! Karina: Okay, that's the last layer; and look, it fits properly! Landon: JD, we got it! We got it!JD: Lemme see how the coral reef is— and everything fits correctly; so you guys win, and you only completed it in just fifty seconds! Karina: OH MY GOOOOD!!! Landon: We did it! WHOOOOO!!! Orange team hugs JD: Usually, an Endurance Mission or a Temple Mission lasts about five or ten minutes, but you guys broke that record and finished the coral reef in only fifty seconds! Not only that, you now get the Luck piece and the Samadhi, which I'm sure there's gonna be some revenge and a major power shift with later on today. I won't need to hear your decision now, but I'll see you later to hear your official decision. Endurance Amazon Teams and Pieces:Purple team: Troy and Angela=Teamwork, Discipline and TrustRed team: Devon and Colleen=Friendship and CommitmentYellow team: Jason and Brielle=Heart, Knowledge, Strength, Leadership and CourageOrange team: Landon and Karina=Perseverance and Luck Int. Jason: Today, we had to play a mental game with some coral reef that had layers of teeth on it and me and Brielle did really well, but not well enough to get a victory.Int. Angela: We were further along in the beginning, but then one layer wasn't turned correctly and we completely lost the lead 'cause of that.Int. Brielle: I was excessively surprised at how quick the mission happened today because no team's ever required less than a minute to win, but Orange did it and I'm still in major shock that they won because I know that they wanna saddle me with the Samadhi.Int. Landon: Me and Karina are SO STOKED that we won today!! Not just that, we get to give one team from the allliance the Samadhi and you know what else? I don't care if me having the Samadhi ruins their day 'cause let me tell you, they've ruined plenty of my days so it's sweet to finally show up people who've screwed us over too much.Yellow, Orange and Purple are talking in the huts:Angela: So, have you made up your mind about who you're giving the Samadhi to yet?Landon: We haven't come to conclusions just yet, but it's between yellow and Purple.Jason: If you want us to get it, I completely understand.Landon: Duh! You stripped us of our pieces and helped send us up to Temple again! Karina: Not just that, you guys are stronger in comparison to Purple.Brielle: Exactly; that's why we're thinking of sending them to temple now that we're in the final 4.Landon: That's just a big eye roll train— — and you know because there's no way you'd be willing to send your best friends in the world!Brielle walks off as Devon comes in and sits Landon: Anyway, if our power was reverted onto you, would it have been me?Troy: Whatcha say again?Landon: Did I stutter; would it have been me?Troy: I'd have given it to Red. How 'bout you, Jay?Jason: Same with me! And you, Devon?Devon: Okay, I'd go with strategy and give it to Yellow.Landon: Alrighty then. I gotta go talk with Karina in private about the Samadhi. He and Karina walk out of the hut Red and Orange are talking on the hammocks:Devon: I'm willing to put our negotiations in order.Landon: What negotiations?Devon: Me and Karina worked out a deal before you guys went up yesterday to combat Purple and Yellow.Landon: How come I never heard it then and there? Karina: We wanted it to be invisible to Yellow and Purple and now setting aside our hostility would benefit us. Colleen, are you willing to go along with this and NOT betray us again?Colleen: Are you willing to let go of our animosity?Karina: Of course I am; since Yellow and Purple are the biggest threats, we gotta think for ourselves now.Devon: This has gotta be the most smartest pact I've made!Landon: And 'cause of this pact, we aren't giving you the Samadhi.
Int. Karina: At this point, it's every team for themselves 'cause now that it's the final four, we don't really have too many choices on who we wanna hurt or heal.
Orange is now talking in the crow's nest:[/b] Landon: So Yellow or Purple? Karina: Well Purple gave us the Samadhi and sent us to Temple and Yellow did the same but stole our pieces, so it's just a coin flip to see who's stronger. Landon: I don't think a coin flip would solve it. Karina: You don't wanna decide randomly? Landon: We should go based on who performed more stellar in the past challenges. Karina: Purple's had some adequate progress but Yellow was further along to them in terms of strength, so it's an obvious choice. Landon: So we're giving the Samadhi to Yellow? Karina: Sure enough! At the island: JD: Come on up and take a seat. First and foremost., I gotta admit that today has been one of this season's standouts; even more of a standout is that the Orange team has come in full of smiles and joking around 'cause the last few times I saw you come here, you've had long faces and kissing your pyramid pieces goodbye. Moreover, there's been a significant power shift given that Orange won today and now one team from what I call the other alliance may be hampered majorly in tomorrow's Temple Mission. Overall, you guys have come a long way from 20 contestants, to 8 teams and here we are with the final four. You've been living out in the jungles of the Amazon for weeks; you've got no computer, TV, mall, school, etc. Anybody missing the comforts of home yet? Angela: I am.JD: Why that, Angela? 'Cause for the most part, you've been wearing makeup and earrings every time we come here; and now, we got a new you— hair messy, no earrings, shells for a necklace and you're certainly lookin' down and dirty. Is there a reason in particular you're missing your home life that much? Angela: Well, I miss my phone, my laptop, bed, food, mall, etc. But I love to rough it out here although half of me wants to leave while the other half wants to go home.JD: Troy, you have anything to say about that? Troy: I think she should just suck it up and suffer a bit more 'cause we're coming close to the final three.JD: Well, even though you guys haven't had the comforts of home for a while, you've still managed to progress to the final four. Anyhow, it's decision time for Orange. Who's getting the Samadhi for tomorrow's Temple Mission? Landon: Welp, every team's screwed us over more than once— Yellow robbed us of our pieces; Purple gave us the Samadhi and sent us to Temple and Orange sent us. So it's generally just a coin toss on who's stronger.... Karina: ....we decided that Yellow has the most powerful so they're getting the Samadhi. JD: Okay, Yellow team. Let's open the Samadhi and see what's inside. Jason smashes the Samadhi and a tiny cannonball falls out JD: This little ball means you'll have an extra one to deposit in tomorrow's Temple Mission. As always, it doesn't mean you're jinxed with a loss, just makes it a bit more difficult to win. Furthermore, tomorrow is another Temple Mission— by nightfall, we'll be down to only our final three teams. Have a good night's sleep and I'll see you in the morning. Int. Landon: We decided to give Yellow the Samadhi because they've done more damage to us rather than Purple; if they end up going home tomorrow, they'll have a lot of pieces that we so desperately need in the finals.Int. Colleen: I'm just really concerned on how tight Yellow and Purple are and I know they wanna send me and Orange up tomorrow; my only way to weasel out of it is to make a pact with Orange and defeat the strongest teams. Endurance Amazon Teams and Pieces:Purple team: Troy and Angela=Teamwork, Discipline and TrustRed team: Devon and Colleen=Friendship and CommitmentYellow team: Jason and Brielle=Heart, Knowledge, Strength, Leadership and CourageOrange team: Landon and Karina=Perseverance and Luck Next time on Endurance Amazon: Red and Orange put aside their rivalry to beat their opponents:Colleen: This is the smartest idea we've made.Karina: Never knew my enemy would be my friend. However, can this coalition help tip the momentum in the next temple mission:Shows the teams tethering balls towards a cannon And one more team will be leaving the competition just at the tail end. Who will proceed to the final three and hopefully make it through to the end? Find out next time on Endurance Amazon!Author's Note: Sorry I haven't written a new episode in while 'cause I got back to school but I hope you guys can keep reading and be on the lookout for Endurance Yosemite!

Last time on Endurance Amazon: The girls on the Yellow-Red-Purple alliance decided that Orange had been in the jungle for long enough: Brielle: Let me guess— Karina flirts with all the guys and makes 'em act all dumb. Colleen: It'd be a whole lot easier if Orange wasn't here. However, Orange proved that they were definitely here to stay to hold their own by winning the Endurance Mission: Karina: OH MY GOOOOD!!! Landon: We did it! WHOOOOO!!! Orange team hugs In a last-ditch effort to help eliminate the stronger teams of Purple and Yellow, Red schemed with Orange to send them to the Temple of Fate and ensure their safety: Colleen: Are you willing to let go of our animosity? Karina: Of course I am; since Yellow and Purple are the biggest threats, we gotta think for ourselves now. Sure enough, Orange stuck with the mentality of going after their biggest threats by giving Yellow the Samadhi. Today, we've taken a long road all the way to the final four teams of the game, which will become only three teams by the nightfall's end, and the stakes have never been higher than ever: Int. Jason: If we don't win, we're gonna be sent up to Temple, so it's excessively crucial to eliminate our arch-nemesis. Who has the Discipline to shoot for the stars and hit the final three? Find out as we see who possesses the greatest Endurance!
The theme song begins:
8 Teams Shows teens walking up the mesa
16 Challenges Shows a guy pulling himself up on a pulley
350 Inches of Rain a Year Shows the jungles and mountains with the wildlife
Endurance: Amazon Shows the Endurance: Amazon logo
Int. Landon: Today's another Temple Mission and it's insurmountably crucial for us to win because if either Purple or Yellow wins, they'll send us to Temple for the third time and I'm just plain nervous 'cause the stakes haven't been this high since we've been here. Int. Colleen: I'm really great friends with Yellow and Purple, and I know that they wanna send me and Orange to the temple if they win, so us and Orange are gonna use our agreement for perfect use and I'm 99 percent confident we're gonna excel to the final three. Int. Brielle: Us, Purple and Red have been close together for the entire game, but now we can't have any choices 'cause it's the final four; me and Colleen have been tight-knit for weeks now but now we're in a precarious situation and we just basically know it all comes down to us not going to Temple.
At the mission: JD: Watching you guys come down here I'm almost searching for the rest of you— you know what I mean when I say we're down to just four teams, right? All: Sure! JD: Of course, today's incredulously important, given that it's the final four; sure enough, by the end of the night, we'll have only three teams. Let's get straight to it, shall we? Teams: Yeah. JD: Here's what you gotta do today— as you can see, each of you has your own cannon with the balls supposed to be deposited into it on the far side of the path. On the starting line right here, you'e got your pouches where the balls will be transported from here to the cannon. When I say go, you're gonna fling the pouch towards your partner so they can catch the cannonball, and you'll alternate like that for three times until all three cannonballs are loaded into the cannon— you'll know you've won when the tip of the fuse lights up your team color and a blast of confetti will shoot out. The first team to shuffle the three cannonballs to the cannon wins the Temple Mission and the power to send two teams to the Temple of Fate. Yellow team, you guys got the Samadhi yesterday, so that means you'll have to deposit four cannonballs into your cannon rather than three. You guys understand? Teams: Yeah! JD: Alrighty then! Let's get into position, teams. ... JD: Okay; you, the final four teams, are playing for the power to send two teams to Temple of fate in the evening! On your mark, get set, GO!! Troy, Devon, Landon and Brielle run to the opposite side of the first mark as their teammates put the balls in their pouches Angela: Go, Troy! You've got this! Colleen: Run for it, Devon! You're doing great! Jason: Keep it up, Brie! Red, Yellow and Orange move to the second mark on their first/second throw as Purple misses altogether on both throws Landon: Yeah Karina! Troy: Go on, Angie! We gotta catch up as quick as possible! Purple and Red move up a mark as Yellow and Orange do so just about ten seconds later JD: Looks like Purple and Red have their first ball! Of course, the two mentioned deposit their first cannonball and sprint back to the starting line Karina: Go Landon! You got this! Brielle: We can catch up, Jay! Come on! Yellow and Orange deposit their first cannonball as Red moves to the third mark and Purple misses after three weak tries JD: Purple's having an awfully hard time tossing the second cannonball! Still, it seems that Red in particular has overtaken everyone else. Sure enough, Red deposits their second cannonball as Orange and Yellow proceed to the last mark while Purple gets to the second mark JD: One more cannonball for Red, and they win this game! Jason: On three! 1, 2, 3, throw! Yellow and Purple miss as Orange deposits their second cannonball while Red progresses to the second mark Angela: Keep going! We got this! Urgh! Landon: Throw! We have to catch up! Devon: Let’s go Colleen! Hard! Red gets to the last mark while Yellow deposits their second cannonball with Purple hot on their tail JD: Looks like it's gonna be Red..... Devon: Just a little further.... The tip of Red's cannon fuse lights up and confetti shoots out JD: Red team wins! Colleen: Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!! Devon: We did it!!!! Red hugs and Orange joins them in clear celebration JD: Amazing what I just saw right now— Orange and Red, who had as far as you could say a bond in the beginning have now gotten a true coalition in order. Anyhow, Red team, you guys win the power to send any two teams of your choice to the Temple of Fate. I'll see you and the other teams on the island for your decision. You're free to go.
Con. Red: Colleen: We just won the mission! Devon: And don't forget that we've excelled to the final three! Colleen: And our intense negotiations with Orange worked! Con. Landon: Well, Red just won the Temple Mission and I am fantabulously happy! Oh, but there's only one thing I'm suspicious of— unfortunately, there are a couple rats here who are gonna try to change Red's mind and they could sway; only thing they should know is that if Yellow or Purple won today, it would've been us and them.
Purple and Yellow are talking in the huts: Troy: Well this sucks! Jason: Gonna be the end of our long and winding alliance tonight. Brielle: Well, I'm not gonna go out without a fight! Angela: Neither am I; let's go talk to Red. Angela and Brielle go into the other hut Jason: Whaddya think they're gonna do? Troy: Who cares? At least if either one of us leaves we'll give our pieces to you. Jason: Thanks for making my day.
Orange, Red, Brielle and Angela are talking in the other hut: Landon: If I remember correctly, you guys were gonna send Orange and Red if you won in the final five. Brielle: That's what I approximately said. Angela: Well, that's only your outlook; you've gotta talk to Jason about it afterwards. Colleen: Whoa, whoa! You lost me at Red. Angela: Your point being.... Colleen: I know what you planned right then and there— you were gonna send me and Orange to the Temple after we've been friends the whole game! Karina: She's being truthful on that one— when we were negotiating in the final five, I overheard you planning on sending us both. Brielle: Well........ um, me and Purple weren't 99 percent sure on sending you; we were considering Purple and Orange. Karina: And you? Angela: Same here, except it'd be Yellow. Devon: Ugh, that's blatantly just a concoction of half-accuracy, half-cheese— there's no way in a millennium you'd send your best friends to the Temple! Colleen: Oh, sure— it's like saying "I'm gonna send my dad to the Temple or give him the Samadhi"— you don't have the heart to do it whatsoever. Angela: Well, you could do what our other possibility was. Devon: And that is..... Brielle: For the most part, all I'm saying is that you should send one of us with Orange to the Temple so the team sent up with Orange comes back. Landon: Oh, just zip your loud mouth, Bree; we've been to the temple twice and you've gone to the final four along with Purple without getting sent over there! Brielle: Since when have you and Red been tight? You obviously are their other choice, so we've earned one more night here. Colleen: Sorry to disappoint you, but you didn't earn your right to stay here, so don't cry and beg about it 'cause I'm 100% adamant on my word.
Int. Landon: I think Yellow is the most unlikable and undeserving pair of players in the final four right now— reason is that whenever both Brielle and Jason think they're a target for the Temple, they just get all melancholy and complain about it incessantly; just stop being annoying 'cause you're going to Temple so just enjoy your last day in this jungle.
At the island: JD: Head right up and take a seat. First and foremost, it was a crazy day today, if not the fact that it's clearly one of the most incredible highlights from this season; my reasons for that is because Orange and Red— who in the beginning had as far from a bond have collaborated today and turned that into blossoming friendship. However, Red team, you guys still have a daunting task ahead of you— you have to send two of the three teams surrounding you and the lush jungle scenery to the Temple of Fate. Anyway, I'll ask now— Red team, which two teams have you selected to send to the Temple of Fate at sunset? Devon: First of all, we made this decision based upon all of our previous experiences.... Colleen: And we tried to establish as much logical strategy into this so the final outcome would have a winning-over-friendship moral.... Devon: Overall, it doesn't matter altogether if we loved each other, argued persistently with each other or couldn't get along because we always learned from each other..... Colleen: So, the two teams we picked were the Yellow team........ Devon:........and the Purple team. Orange sports a wide grin and high-fives Red twice JD: That was excellently put is what i can say about your decision. Anyhow, Yellow team, Purple team, you'll both be taking the long trek through the jungle to where the Temple of Fate is; pack your belongings, say your goodbyes to Red and Orange, we leave at sunset. I'll see you over there.
Back in the huts: Angela: Welp, I better get my makeup on tonight. Brielle: Gotta look good at the Temple, right? Angela: Of course! Brielle: Still, I can't believe that Colleen sent us both to the Temple. Angela: At least we'll give you our pieces and same if you go. Landon: Oh, man; I can't believe we got to the final three! Karina: Yeah, who woulda thought Orange would go to the final three? Devon: I didn't until we made the deal yesterday. Colleen: Sorry, but, we gotta go our separate ways tomorrow. Landon: Don't tell me you're being devious! Colleen: I'm not, but it's gonna be only three teams left— you, me and whoever comes back.
Int. Colleen: I hope that Yellow comes back with all my heart because we've been tight-knit for a while and we would be so good in the final two, even though I wanna see Orange win as much as I do.
Everyone is outside, hugging, crying bitterly and saying goodbye: Kids: Bye! Good luck! We're gonna miss you!
Int. Angela: I'm just very proud of myself and all the accomplishments I've gotten since I first came here— I now realize I can go without an IPod or a laptop for a while and I let myself get all down and dirty for once; as I've desired to do since the beginning, I wanna win the grand prize trip to Belize.
Int. Troy: If I leave tonight, I'll miss a lot of things— the scenery, the rush of the ocean, the breeze that feels so gentle and everyone I've bonded and associated with in the past three weeks. However, I'm still confident that if we come back or leave, either us or Yellow will have an insurmountable lead over the other two.
Int. Jason: Well, if I could sum up my experience here in a few words, I'd say— I was a very strong and powerful team that worked hard to excel and win. I'm a hundred and ten percent grateful that I came here because I met a lot of really cool teens from around the country and the only thing on my mind right now is to go to the Temple, come back, win the final missions and get all 14 pieces.
Int. Brielle: I absolutely admire and love being on the show for more than one meaning— when you're out in the jungle away from civilization, electricity and all the people you care for in your home life, you have to push past the first impressions you have of others and acknowledge them for their inner beings; I myself can say I've advanced through the process and when I leave this place, winning or losing, I'll safely say that Endurance has changed me for the better and helped me grow to love people's qualities and I appreciate every second of this.
At the Temple of Fate:
JD: Welcome to the temple of Fate. For both teams, it's your first trek here and for one of you, it'll be your last. As you know, the two teams who already progressed to the final three have been up here at least once, and they've survived and are comfortable back over at the huts. In front of you are 3 cauldrons: one with fire, one with water, one with wood. You'll write down your elements on a piece of bamboo, and I'll drop them into the burning kettle behind me. As you all know, fire burns wood, wood floats in water and water puts out the fire. You'll write down your choices on a piece of bamboo, and I'll drop them into the kettle of fire. The first team to win twice returns to make up the final three teams; the other team will be exiting the jungle permanently. Go ahead and grab your first piece of bamboo.
Shows the teams whispering and writing things down
Angela: Should we pick fire or wood? Troy: I'm going for the latter of the two...
Jason: What do you wanna do? Brielle: Probably water. Jason: Then let's write it down.
Teams hand their elements to JD, who then drops them in the kettle
JD: Okay, can we please see who chose the dominant element?
Purple: Fire Yellow: Water JD: Yellow team, you chose water; Purple team chose fire— water extinguishes the fire, so that's one win for you, Yellow; one more and you're gonna be in the final three. Purple team, you can't afford another loss or else you'll be heading home— you gotta win this to instigate a tiebreaker. Go ahead and grab another piece of bamboo.
Shows the teams whispering and writing things down
Troy: You have a clue on what to pick now? Angela: I'm mulling it over in my head. Troy: Just pick one so we can write it down!
Brielle: Maybe we should go with what we did last time? Jason: Our most likely chance would have to be....
Teams hand their elements to JD, who then drops them in the kettle
JD: If Yellow wins this round, they'll proceed to the final three. Purple team, you need to win in order to survive the game. Can we please see who chose the dominant element?
Purple: Water Yellow: Wood Jason: We've made it to the final three! Brielle: Can't believe we got that far! Yellow team hugs Purple team hugs and looks very disappointed JD: Yellow team picked wood; Purple team picked water— wood floats on water so that means Yellow will be advancing to the final three. Purple team, I'm sorry to say, but you guys are leaving Endurance; I know everyone besides Yellow at the huts is gonna be missing you tonight, but you still have some control over the game— you can give your three pyramid pieces to any team you want. Thanks for being a part of Endurance and coming out to the jungles of Colombia.
Purple team disappears behind the flames.
JD: I myself gotta admit that I am a tad sympathetic to see Purple go— given that you were their best friends and were the most powerful teams together in more ways than one— but it doesn't mean you have to forget them. You guys still get to keep the four-piece lead you have now and you're now officially one of the final three. Head on back and I'll see you tomorrow!
Around the campfire: Colleen: I hope Yellow's on their way back now. Landon: Can't see them yet! Yellow comes running down the bridge Jason: Guess who's made it to the final three!! Everyone cheers and celebrates in a group hug
Endurance Amazon Teams and Pieces: Red team: Devon and Colleen=Friendship and Commitment Yellow team: Jason and Brielle=Heart, Knowledge, Strength, Leadership and Courage Orange team: Landon and Karina=Perseverance and Luck
Next time on Endurance Amazon: The final three teams are hit with one more twist: JD: You're gonna have the opportunity to create your own game for the final Endurance Mission. Brielle: Seriously? The Recap for Episode Fifteen: Create Your Own Game
And then there were three— just the Orange, Red and Yellow teams remain on Endurance Amazon! Sure enough, JD meets with the final three at the huts with Purple’s three pieces and a farewell letter which reveals who got their pyramid pieces. Although Angela and Troy have left the island on good terms with everyone— intricately speaking, they forgive Red for sending them to Temple and they praise Orange for upstaging the other teams despite being called the weakest team from time to time and foiling their alliance’s countless schemes to eliminate them, they specifically cite the Yellow team as their greatest friends, and make good on a promise to leave their 3 pieces to them. With the addition of Purple's pieces, the Yellow team now has an astonishing eight pieces total; both the Red and Orange teams have only two apiece!
Despite the daunting lead Yellow holds, there are approximately two more challenges ahead and anyone could come out on top. JD goes on to explain the day's Endurance mission, Create Your Own Game. The name pretty much says it all; for the third time in Endurance history, the contestants must cooperate with each other to create their own game using only objects that were used in previous missions! They must also create the rules of the game that they must all follow when the challenge begins. On the line in this mission is the twelfth and final pyramid piece— Ingenuity, as well as the dubious honor to handicap another team in the next day's Temple mission by giving them the Samadhi.
The contestants begin brainstorming, but with little success. And the task proves to be extremely difficult at first, as no one can agree on any of the ideas that are suggested— Brielle, Landon and Karina want to use a challenge that involves a puzzle and their memorization; conversely, Colleen, Devon and Jason want to select something that deviates from strength and stamina. But soon the six contestants see eye-to-eye, and are able to create their game, draft the rules and devise a scoring system that will determine the winner. (In a nutshell, the challenge that Orange, Red and Yellow configured resembles one of the knowledge-themed missions from Endurance 1)
Upon JD's return, he is treated to one of the most unusual games ever seen on Endurance. The contestants have devised a game that takes place within a large, rectangular area anchored by three enormous multicolored wheels with a lettered board just right of the wheels, each of which is the starting point for the three teams playing. As described by Brielle, the object of the game is for the teams to adjust the colored wheel to the numbers indicated on the board— each number aligns with a letter and color that spells a commonly-asked question on Endurance (you’ll have to see below to find out the answer; however, I will say it relates tremendously to karma). The first team that manages to answer the question wins the game, the Samadhi and the Ingenuity piece.
With everyone ready to go, JD begins the game. From the start it appears that both the Red and Orange teams are having some code-cracking difficulties; but the Yellow team seems to have no problems at all. Using his outstretched finger on the helm of the wheel to give his logical bearings, Jason deftly follows Brielle's instructions. Yellow is the first team to get the first two words of the phrase, and of course, they are also the first team to put their third word on their board. Finally Orange manages to retrieve the first two words. Red manages to retrieve both words as well, but soon thereafter Yellow figures out the fourth word slowly. Both Orange and Red keep it somewhat close by nabbing their third words, but after Karina accidentally touches the wrong color and Colleen and Devon continue to have communication issues, Yellow is able to retrieve their fourth word. Although both Orange and Red manage to get their fourth words, it's only a formality as Yellow easily gets their fifth word and successfully solves the phrase— which is “what goes around comes around” and the answer is obviously karma— and wins the game, Samadhi and the Ingenuity piece.
Yellow's win is insurmountably devastating to both Red and Orange in an ambiguous manner— which means more than one interpretation by a certain context. Now Yellow not only has nine pieces (a seven piece lead), but they also have the Samadhi to give to either Red or Orange later in the day! Down but not out, Karina, Landon and Devon try to create their third plan to defeat Yellow in the tomorrow's Temple mission which also is the final elimination. At one point, the Colleen attempts to dupe Jason into giving Orange the Samadhi, but Orange overhears them and swiftly puts the kibosh on that plan in Devon’s and their own defense.
Later on at the island on the lagoon, the final three teams meet with JD to find out which team will be handicapped by the Samadhi in the forthcoming Temple mission. But before JD asks Yellow for their final decision, he allows Landon to recite a bit of Endurance history: during the first 2 editions of Endurance, at the point of the game where only three teams were left, the team in charge of assigning the Samadhi actually debated to throw it out of the game, making the final Temple mission a completely level playing field— which as you’ve read earlier has never happened. While Orange thinks it would be appropriate, Colleen disagrees, believing it would be unfair to all of those who previously were eliminated from the game to throw out the Samadhi at this point. Much to her chagrin, Yellow agrees with Orange, and decides to give the Samadhi to Red.
When Devon breaks open the Samadhi, he and Colleen discover a parachute-shaped rocket with the number "1" on it. JD alerts them that they'll have 1 additional rocket to launch in the next day's Temple mission. Furthermore, the other two teams are just as excessively nervous as Red is now that they're hampered by the final Samadhi; contrary to the shockwave of anxiety resonating through the huts, Landon steadfastly believes he and Karina can make it to the final two and be the quintessential example of a team that has a few close shaves at the start, but thankfully fights hard, accelerate to the top and excel in the game.
On the whole, we’ve got three remaining teams, two days to go, and one final elimination that will name the two teams progressing to the semifinals; secondly, there’s no more alliances, no more second chances, and no more surprises; thirdly, the only way to guarantee a spot in the Endurance finals is to win today's Temple Mission. Which two teams can perfect the timing for themselves, rise to the occasion when the time comes and hopefully become the Endurance champ, winning all 14 pieces and the grand-prize trip to Belize? Find out next time on Endurance Amazon!
Endurance Amazon Teams and Pieces: Red team: Devon and Colleen=Friendship and Commitment Yellow team: Jason and Brielle=Heart, Knowledge, Strength, Leadership, Courage, Teamwork, Discipline, Trust and Ingenuity Orange team: Landon and Karina=Perseverance and Luck
Author's Note: Sorry I didn't write any quotations because writing a synopsis helps accelerate the process and we'll get to the fourth season quicker than you can say Endurance!

The Recap for Episode Sixteen: We Gotta Get This Advantage...For Once!
After enjoying a sunny morning of swimming in the Amazon River, the contestants meet with JD at the huts to hear about the afternoon's Temple mission — the last one of Endurance: Amazon. With only three teams left in the game, the winner of the mission is a lock to play for the championship, while the other two teams will have to test their luck at Temple later that night. In a nutshell, the final three teams have had something that was particularly unique about them. Orange has endured a lot in comparison to the other two teams, but they’ve risen to the occasion— from getting the first Samadhi to being stripped of their pieces and being sent to Temple twice— and used their scrappy performances in the challenges to back up their status as a strong team; Yellow wasn’t a staple among the teams at first, but they unveiled their stellar teamwork when the time came and have been fighting hard, even when they had a couple close shaves; Red’s quality of competition seems to fluctuate wildly— from time to time, they’ve had outright dominance but they’ve had a higher percentage of deception on Colleen’s part— on the whole, you might think that they did little work and were just carried by their alliance here, but their friendship was what helped them barely progress in each episode. No one needs reminding that the Red Team was given the Samadhi by the Yellow team the previous day, but JD brings up an interesting fact: no team in Endurance history has ever been to Temple three times and played for the championship. If Orange— the team who’s made two visits to the Temple twice— loses the challenge and forces them to Temple, and should good fortune be on their side and they make it back to the jungle anyway, they could make game history!
Later, the contestants rendezvous with JD to play the final Temple mission. In this luck and memory-themed game, the players on each team must catch overhead parachutes, three of each are numbered 1-3. Three rockets just on the far side of the parachutes’ guardrail-lined catwalk will be launched on JD’s signal; should one team be lucky enough to find the a numbered parachute among the five that will drop, they'll have a possibility of winning. At any point, should a team choose an unnumbered parachute, they lose one of the seven chips that is used to help them win. To win the game, a team must catch the number that matches the secret lucky number inside JD’s pouch. But, because they were given the Samadhi, the Red team must launch one extra rocket to win.
JD begins the game, and right off the bat, the Yellow team has a significant lead over the others as they’re the only ones who keep an eye for a numbered parachute— subsequently, they get the number 1 parachute. Conversely, Red has more problems as they catch two unlabeled parachutes and lose two chips in the process; Orange meets a similar fate, but gets lucky and catches the number 2 parachute. Yellow and Orange vie for the final parchute while Red loses three more chips; the other two teams lose four chips which hampers them as a result, allowing Red the green light to catch the number 3 parachute! JD then recounts the sequence in which the parachutes were caught and a tablet with one of the three numbers is raised out of the mouth of the bag; Orange wins the game— given that the lucky number in the pouch was 2, the number of visits Orange has made to Temple— automatically sending the Red and Yellow teams to Temple!
Sure enough as you’d have expected from the first time they excelled, Karina and Landon are tremendously thankful to be elated to have won the game and made it to the final round. Their victory’s waves reach an all-time high, which both disappoints and depresses the Yellow and Red teams. On one hand— speaking from Red’s point of view— they feel that Orange has managed to teach others to not underestimate them too much, which has contributed to their path into the championship, enduring very much with two Samadhis and two trips to the Temple to get there; on the other hand— from what Yellow thinks— despite the fact that everyone has unflappable ties to them, Orange remains a weaker team with only two pyramid pieces, so it could be marginally possible they won't be very strong competitors in the final round.
Night falls and the time comes for Yellow and Red to meet with JD at the Temple to play Fire-Water-Wood for the second time— if you’re read earlier, Red went to the first elimination and Yellow went to the previous Temple— in order determine who’ll be facing the scapegoats-turned-powerhouses Orange team. In the first round, the Yellow team chooses water, and Red chooses fire. Water puts out fire, so Yellow wins the round. In the next round, the Yellow team chooses fire, and Red chooses wood. Fire burns wood, which means Yellow wins the second round and the game, taking their insurmountable lead of nine pieces and their dominant teamwork into the finals! But before Yellow is able to return to the jungle, they receive a parting request from an emotional Red team to remember them and not let their bad karma they created in the past affect them in the final round. After almost a single month of bickering, fighting, etc. between Colleen and Devon of the Red team, they become the last team to be eliminated from Endurance: Amazon.
With an ever-so-commanding nine pyramid pieces, the Yellow team heads back into the jungle, to compete against the Orange team for the Endurance: Amazon championship. As you know by heart, it takes fourteen pyramid pieces to win Endurance, and today the two pieces left behind by Red are up for grabs. Can the Orange team cause an upset and increase their odds of winning and win the game by a landslide or will the Yellow team obliterate them once again and have an untouchable lead in the final round of the championship? The Recap for Episode Seventeen: Let's Have a Dogfight for Some Pieces in 3, 2, 1...
At last, the final day of Endurance: Amazon has arrived! And when the Orange and Yellow teams meet with JD at the huts on this sunny morning in the jungles and mountains of Colombia, he takes a moment to congratulate them on making it to the championship round. But they soon get down to business, reading the now-departed Red team's farewell letter. In the letter, Devon and Colleen express their sympathies and apologies to Landon and Karina for creating so much bad karma for them due to their treatment, but they postscript the comment by telling them they adore how Orange absolutely dominated the other teams no matter what the cost! They then go on to express their admiration for Jason and Brielle, and wish them the best of luck at winning the championship.
The good news for Orange is that the Red team couldn't leave their pieces to Yellow, which would've given them an even more overwhelming lead. Instead, their two pieces will be up for grabs in the day's mission, Battle for the Pieces! In this mission, the two teams will compete in a boat race around the tropical waters of the Amazon River. Four pyramid pieces wrapped in burlap will be placed on individual platforms at various points in the water, two of which will be Red's Commitment and Friendship pieces. The others will be two decoys. The teams must successfully navigate the water to retrieve as many pieces as they can. Whichever team crosses the finish line first is guaranteed the unused pyramid piece: Karma! At the end of the race, the teams will unwrap their collected pieces to see which team picked up the two abandoned Red pieces along the way. Facing an 9-to-2 deficit, the Orange team must play this mission well if they are to get back in the game. But before they begin the race, JD gives the teams some time to reflect upon their Endurance experience and personalize their boats.
As the final two teams eagerly await the final mission, they come to a mutual agreement on how to decorate their boat— their masts are painted in the colors in which the teams were eliminated and their first names are on the ridges lining the top and sides of the boat. They then reminisce about the teams that were eliminated before them— Jason admits he didn’t realize how nice and honest teams such as Blue and Gray (Orange’s best friends, whom they owe some of their teamwork to); as far as which team caused a major shift in the entire game, Orange says that Yellow surprised them with their spellbinding teamwork when it was time to rise the occasion— conversely, Yellow admits Orange was the most astounding team by far, because nobody expected them to excel in the jungle, but they bashed the other teams into oblivion regardless of their targeting. However, they still wonder how they will manage to retrieve the two last pyramid pieces when the mission relies upon teamwork: one person needs to row the boat and the other needs to steer it!
Before the mission begins, JD points out that both the Yellow and Orange teams pay tribute to their fellow (and now eliminated) contestants by prominently displaying the team colors of those no longer in the game. Landon admits he’s confident that Orange can hopefully flip the script and win three pyramid pieces— giving them only 5 pieces, which is generally more supporting but not enough against Yellow’s imposing 9 pieces.
The race begins, and right off the bat the Orange team begins to make swift progress to the first burlap piece like a native canoe, showing absolutely significant teamwork. Meanwhile, Yellow also appears to be seasoned sailors, easily navigating their boat through the water. Yellow easily retrieves the first and second burlap pieces. Orange tries to make a play for the third piece, which works to their advantage. Subsequently, Orange easily cruises along and picks up both pieces three and four! It is now a guarantee that Orange will add at least one more pyramid piece to their total! While Yellow is stuck in the murky water towards the end, Orange coasts past the finish line. They have now won the mission and both of Red's pieces— on the contrary, Yellow has the Karma piece— which gives them a 10-to-4 pyramid piece sum-up against Yellow heading into the final showdown at the Temple!
With such an overwhelming lead, Jason and Brielle are pretty confident they'll wind up champions. That said, they know from watching the previous two seasons that already were released that on Endurance anything can happen. Meanwhile, Landon and Karina come to grips with the fact that they're enormous underdogs and will most likely end the evening as runner-ups. But, as with every edition of Endurance, it will be fate that has the final say. Only two teams remain, with six other teams that fell by the wayside throughout three weeks. Which team can win the championship, the fourteen pyramid pieces and the grand prize trip to Belize? Find out next time on Endurance Amazon!

The Recap for Episode Eighteen: The Season Finale You’ve Been Waiting For
"And then there were two!" proclaims JD as the Orange and Yellow teams approach the island for the last gathering of Endurance: Amazon. Earlier in the day, the underdog Orange team absolutely shut out Yellow in the Battle for the Pieces mission. By doing so, they collected two additional pyramid pieces— Yellow has the Karma piece, which was the other piece not involved throughout the game— giving them a 10-to-4 piece score!
JD asks the contestants to take a moment to reflect on their Endurance experience in the Amazon, and how amazing it was to compete in a setting that is actually the longest river in the world after the Nile, although they competed in the mountains and jungles of the Amazon River! He also asks the remaining two teams to think about one interesting fact: The two teams who were the most remarkable of the season, made it to the final round, although they got here in drastically different ways. The Orange team’s route to the final two premiered in the beginning with the Green-Red-Yellow-Purple alliance calling them weak and scheming to eliminate them which never worked, but they used their commitment and clarification to reach this poit. The Yellow team has been the ultimate competitor - displaying teamwork and a friendship that has let them dominate for most of the game. And to honor how important friendship is in Endurance, JD gives each of the final four contestants a special "fifteenth pyramid piece": the Clarification piece!
But before everyone gets too emotional, JD reminds the teams that there is one Temple mission left, which will determine the Endurance: Amazon champions. JD hands each team miniature representations of the pyramid pieces they have won: Orange has the Commitment, Friendship, Perserverance and Luck pieces; and Yellow has Heart, Knowledge, Courage, Leadership, Strength, Trust, Discipline, Ingenuity, Teamwork and Karma. The teams will bring these miniatures with them to Temple, where they'll play their final mission in an hour.
It turns out to be one of the quickest hours of the contestants' lives! Before they know it, it's time to pack their bags and head to Temple, leaving the huts, the lagoon and the surreal oasis deep in the lakes, canyons and mesas of the Amazon River behind forever.
The teams pass through the foggy jungle for the very last time to meet up with JD at Temple, where he explains the championship mission. With the pyramid pieces each pair has earned, the opposing teams will play a game that presses their luck— it's a version of the old-fashioned shell game, in which a row of pyramids is laid between the two teams. Each team takes turns wagering their own pieces on which pyramid has a special gold pyramid beneath it. The team whose piece sits in front of the pyramid with the gold pyramid wins all the pieces on the board; in other words, fortunes can change very quickly in this game! The only rule is the team that goes first must leave at least one free open space for the opposing team's piece - but however many pieces are left open, the team that goes second must fill in all the empty spaces. The game begins with only two pyramids to wager on, but another pyramid will be added in each round of the game— on the whole, there are 14 pyramids that could have the gold pyramid. If the game plays all the way out, the teams could be wagering on 14 pyramids! The more pieces a team wagers, the better their chances of finding the one gold pyramid, but the greater their risk of loosing everything. The team to collect all 14 pyramid pieces will be crowned Endurance: Amazon champions, and win the trip to Belize!
Down by six pieces, the Orange team is given first dibs to place their piece in the first round. With a 50-50 chance of picking the winner, Orange finds their luck comes through! Orange now has five pieces; Yellow has nine.
Round 2: Even though they won the first round, Orange is still down, and again they go first. They take the aggressive route and put pieces in front of two of the three pyramids, and Yellow fills in the empty space. The strategy pays off for Orange, as they find the gold pyramid again and add another piece. Orange now has six pieces; Yellow has eight.
Round 3: Once again, the Orange team goes first since they are behind. And once again, Orange is aggressive and fills three of the four empty positions. For the third round in a row, Orange leaves Yellow to play with only one piece on the board. Their clever plan works as they switch the matchup to 9-5 against Yellow!
Round 4: Conversely to their previous actions in this championship, Yellow is now behind and they fill out two of the five pyramids; to make matters worse, Yellow hits the cave as Orange accumulates two more pieces, bumping up the subtotal to 10-4!
Round 5: Again, Yellow goes first due to a hampering by four pieces and they go out on a limb by placing three pieces on the table; their situation grows more and more precarious as the gold pyramid jumps up in front of Orange’s pyramid piece, upping their ante to 13-1, just one pyramid piece to win the expedition to Belize!
Round 6: In the hot seat with only their one and only remaining piece, Yellow goes all out by placing their last piece; a major comeback occurs as Yellow gets Orange's six pyramid pieces seated in the presence of the gold pyramid, which snowballs them up to a 50-50 chance of the championship victory!
Round 7: Since they were under in the last round, Yellow goes first and they place five pieces in comparison to the opposite number; their inexcusably good fortune continues as they shift back to what the sum up was at the beginning of the championship, 10-4!
Round 8: Orange is starting to slip under the radar, so to save themselves, they place three out of their four pieces on the table; fate favors them once again as the piece count reverts from 4-10!
Round 9: With only four pyramid pieces and ten pyramids, Yellow places just two pieces on the table in hopes of intercepting the other nine pieces under Orange’s wing; luck is on their side as the gold pyramid graces their presence and Yellow takes another impossible-to-beat lead over Orange, 12-2!
Round 10: Orange realizes that their feigned destiny is creeping up slowly to them, so they place one piece on the board against the other ten vacant spaces; they come back from the brink of extinction and manage to bump up their pieces to three.
Round 11: Because they’re still definitely subpar with their pieces, Orange gets to go first, and they repeat their strategy from the previous round by placing only two piece on the table with ten spaces open; contrary to their quick-witted plan, Yellow has the gold pyramid in front of their pieces, raising their tremendously exhausting lead up to 13-1.
Round 12: With only one piece left and twelve empty spaces out on the board, Orange only has an 8% chance of finding the gold pyramid and staying in the game. Karina and Landon are ready to capsize their imminent destiny and prove that the weakest team is now the champion by placing the piece they’ve had since the beginning! But alas, their luck has run out, as the gold pyramid reveals itself in front of one of Yellow's twelve pieces— Jason and Brielle are now the Endurance: Amazon champions and will be going on the grand prize expedition to Belize!
Afterward, JD praises each team for their unforgettable and magnificent journey to the championship— Orange was always a weak team that was unlikely to excel at the beginning, but fate and more was what transported them through; Yellow was just a wallflower in the beginning, but they changed everyone’s outlook on them with their cutting-edge teamwork! In the post-championship interviews, Brielle admits being on Endurance has unveiled a better side of her, and she hopes to use her strength at everything to get by; Jason says that it wasn’t only their teamwork and friendship that carried them here, it was their strategy he’d devised during the partner selection— as long as they’re honest, open, truthful and trustworthy, it will act as a benefit in the end— which worked in more than one meaning, and so, Endurance: Amazon is over!
THE END

Double-post for convenience because I just realized I never emphasized all the differences going from Season 3~4 in my fanfic. - The shooting location has switched from the Urubamba Valley in Colombia to Pinecrest Lake in Stanilaus National Forest— which is located in the vicinity of Yosemite National Park, as indicated in this season's title.
- A fifteenth pyramid piece has been added to the show— Clarification, which was in fact premiered in the Endurance: Amazon season finale.
- Another new feature to the show is that the writing formula now follows one that resembles that of a TV transcript, complete with previews at the end of each episode.
- The third season saw a handful of missions that incorporated rather unconventional objectives and pyramid pieces— one of the more prominent examples was the partner challenge, which was a memorization game, but did not involve a color code in any way; these sorts of objectives have been reverted for the next few seasons of my fanfic.
- The Temple of Fate remains very dimly-lit to create the "mysterious" atmosphere, but the only exception is that it's now covered with shrubs, foliage and miscellaneous scenery to establish an "embellished but eerie" appearance.
- This particular reason of Endurance is set in summer 2011— specifically speaking, casting and auditions ran from early March to late May of this year; filming of this season took place in the appropriate location from early July to mid-August; airdates are set from fall 2011 to spring 2012.
- During this year's casting process, the agents went to nine cities nationwide: Boston, New York City, Orlando, Chicago, Detroit, Dallas, Washington DC, Seattle and Los Angeles.
- The age range for this year and future prospective contestants has been increased to the ages of 13-17 (in a nutshell, contestants have to be in the grade range of seventh grade to senior year).
- For this season's casting process, 8300 teens applied which was reduced to 75 preliminary finalists, which then decreased to 40 semifinalists and then there are 20 contestants playing this year.
- Another slight change to the show formula is that Endurance will gain some teen drama/soap opera elements and all episodes will be posted weekly on both Mondays and Fridays.
- One more new feature to the show: fragments of the Endurance triangle (yes, these are pyramid pieces) will appear in the appropriate colors in the upper corner of the screen during missions and eliminations to help viewers who just tuned in to catch up.
And now, go to this topic and see all the differences make sense for yourself in Endurance: Yosemite!
