Right To Stay
The camera shows JD standing on some smooth rocks near a flowing stream surrounded by a small island. The water is crystal blue and there are many canyons and mesas with mountains containing lush jungles. It shows flocks of macaws, quetzals and toucans flying, various fish swimming and incredible turtles crawling thru the rocks.
JD: Thousands of years ago, many Indian tribes of the Americas journeyed thru the Caribbean Sea in search of a new life. After traveling for over 2000 miles, they found a remote spot in Colombia, deep in the Urubamba Valley, the tropical paradise of the Amazon. Inspired by their magnificent canyons, spellbinding waterfalls and breathtaking mountains with jungles, they made this their home.
Shows 20 teenagers making their way thru the hills.
JD: For the next several weeks, these 20 teens will make these jungles their home. They've traveled over 6000 miles to get to this rainforest and prove that they have what it takes to be the Endurance champs.
Jahmil-14-Utica, New York Christine-15-Worcester, Massachusetts Sean-13-Charlottesville, Virginia Karina-14-Jamestown, New York Troy-14- Grenada, Mississippi: I reckon I can get along with everyone, even those who aren't working well and I hope that can give me an edge in this game.
JD: This rainforest deep in Colombia will be their surroundings, along with the moon, stars and the 19 strangers around them.
Nicholette-15-Cloquet, Minnesota Zachary-15-Levittown, Pennsylvania Colleen-14-Palo Alto, California Richie-15-Fayetteville, North Carolina Meredith-14-Bloomington, Indiana: My friendly personality's gonna get me thru this. At first, I'm very shy, but, when people get social with me, then maybe we'll make good friendships which I can stick with to the end.
JD: These kids have seen the first two seasons of the show and they think they know how to play the game. But it'll be more real and everything won't always go their way.
Kris-15-Marietta, Georgia Angela-13-Carthage, Missouri Jason-14-Hialeah, Florida Hayley-13-Shelbyville, Tennessee Landon-14-Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin: I feel that being the biggest fan of Endurance will help me win. I know the show the most and I know that I'll win.
JD: There's gonna be many challenges, friendships and even the twists. Drama will run at its highest and so will emotions.
Brielle-13-Sarasota, Florida Devon-13-Corpus Christi, Texas Jessie-14-Texarkana, Texas Brayden-13-Naperville, Illinois Danielle-15-Rancho Cucamonga, California: I think I'll get far 'cause I'm really versatile. I think that with a great partner, I'll make it to the end.
JD: Only 2 of these 20 teenagers will go the entire way to the end and prove that they have the greatest Endurance!
The theme song begins:
20 Contestants Shows teens walking up the mesa
16 Challenges Shows a guy pulling himself up on a pulley
350 Inches of Rain a Year Shows the jungles and mountains with the wildlife
Endurance: Amazon Shows the Endurance: Amazon logo
The teams walk up the hill to the small island, where JD is standing. JD: Welcome to Endurance! All: Yeah! (Cheering and Clapping) JD: This is the Amazon, the biggest river and rainforest in South America, and it's also home to a vast selection of wildlife! All: Alright! (More cheering and clapping) JD: This will be your new home for the next few weeks. Take a look around you. It's not green by accident, this is actually one of the wettest places on Earth. Over there, on the other side of the bridge are the huts. There's no electricity or running water in 'em. Now that we've overcome that, why don't you guys find out what's over here. The kids walk across the bridge to the team poles and pyramid pieces. JD: In order to win this game, your objective is to obtain all 14 pieces of the pyramid and to also possess these qualities to become the Endurance Champ. There's-- Camera panes to the pyramid pieces in order. JD: --Perseverance, Courage, Trust, Heart, Luck, Discipline, Strength, Leadership, Commitment, Knowledge, Teamwork, Ingenuity, Friendship and Karma. In order to stay here on Endurance, you're also gonna have to survive that place over there. The teens look over to the temple sitting on the top side of the jungle. JD: That's the Temple of Fate. On the elimination days, 2 teams will journey across the lake, thru the ominous jungle, up the waterfall and to the mountain, where the Temple of Fate is. 2 teams will make that trek, but only 1 returns. I also have some good news: no one is gonna go home today! All: Yeah! (Cheering and Clapping) JD: Yep. You're all gonna spend at least 1 night out here. For 6 of you, it's gonna be your last night. And I have another twist: don't you wish you could pass up the Right to Stay and just relax? All: Yeah. JD: Well, you're gonna decide on 1 boy and 1 girl who'll get the free ride, whereas the others will compete for the right to stay. I'll see you tomorrow for your decision on the free ride and the Right to Stay Mission.
The contestants run excitedly, cheering on the bridge to the huts. Devon: Endurance!
Girls' Hut: Angela: Oh my God! Meredith: These are so cool! Nicholette: I've always wanted to sleep on wood! Hayley: This is the best place I've ever been!
Int. Brielle: I still can't believe I'm actually on Endurance! It's the best feeling in my life! Int. Colleen: I don't care if the beds are solid wood, I'm so gonna have a lot of fun here!
Boys' Hut: Troy: Whoa man! Jahmil: This is tight! Kris: This is my bunk, y'all! Jason: We're in the cabin!
Int. Landon: The huts were just so wonderful! When I got here, it was automatically like home sweet home. Int. Brayden: Meeting the other kids was like the first day of high school 'cause we got to know each other and we were just all getting along real good.
Everyone runs up and down the grass, laughing and cheering. Con. Angela: I'm the 1st one to use the Confessional! I'm so excited! I just love it here!
Later that night: Con. Richie, Christine and Jessie: Christine: It's like 2 in the morning and it's cold! Jessie: It's like freezing! Richie: Anyway, today's an important day for us. Christine: 'Cause it's the Right-To-Stay today. Whoopty-doo!
Boys' Hut: Kris: Who're we gonna give the free ride to? Zachary: I've got no idea who really deserves it. Devon: We've still gotta find a way to pick. Landon: I'd have to say Karina. Devon: Why her? Landon: She's not really the strongest, in my book. Jason: I think we shouldn't do her. She could prove us all wrong. Troy: C'mon! If we can't agree on someone, we need to do it randomly! Jahmil: I think we should pick the girl who gets it with a coin flip, alright? Sean: That's a pretty good idea. One of us needs to get out a coin and determine who it is!
Girls' Hut: Danielle: What're we gonna do? Karina: We should do a silent vote! Nicholette: We'll put them on a piece of paper and put them into the center. Colleen: And you can't vote your ideal partner. Meredith: Especially when we gotta pick one of the boys, who don't know what we're doing. Angela: I know, and I'm scared. Christine: Like, whoever gets picked, no hard feelings to the other guys. Hayley: Okay, let's see: We got 1 vote for Sean, 1 vote for Landon and 4 votes apiece for Troy and Jason. Now we gotta decide on one of those 2. Jessie: I think maybe we should draw straws! Karina: Where are we gonna get straws? Angela: Maybe we should use our makeup brushes! The shorter ones will mean Jason, whereas the long ones will mean Troy.
Int. Meredith: When we found out which guy was gonna get the free ride, it was a tie between Jason and Troy. We drew straws and we came to decision, which I dunno what to tell now.
JD meets the contestants in front of the huts: JD: So, the moment of truth has arrived. It's time to find out who's gonna get the free ride and hang out while the others compete to stay. Okay, girls, who as a group have you decided to give the free ride to? Jessie: Well, we decided to give it to Troy. Troy: Oh yeah! Everyone applauds for a moment. JD: You're looking at the first official guy player of Endurance. Now, it comes down to the guys to decide who gets the free ride. Who will be getting the pass? Kris: We like all of you, but we're giving to Brielle. Brielle: Oh my God, thank you guys so much! Everyone applauds for a moment. JD: This is the official girl player of Endurance. Okay, these 2 have a pass and are safe from the Right-to-Stay. Unfortunately, the remainder of you are gonna have to compete for your right to stay. You ready to face the first challenge? All: Yeah. JD: Okay, I'll see you over there.
At the mission: The contestants walk to the lake where JD's standing. JD: So, the 2 with the free ride, stand over by me. The others, stay where you are. A lot of game faces walking in here. You 2 got no stress, but you may be upset seeing your new friends go. Here's how the challenge works: as you can see out there in the water are a series of thick and long rods hanging above the water. Each of you is gonna have to hold onto these rods with your hands and feet for as long as possible. If you fall into the water, you're gonna be eliminated. The first 3 guys and the first 3 girls to fall into the water will be sent home. The others will be the official Endurance Amazon players. You guys ready to play? All, clapping: YEAH! JD: Okay, girls, head on out into position. The girls get ready and in position. JD: Okay, girls, are you ready? Girls: Yeah! JD: Alright, then on your mark, get set, GO! The girls and the poles get lifted into the air. Richie: Hang on! Hayley: Oh gosh. JD: Hold on girls, hold on! Sean: C'mon girls, let's go! Brielle: Hang on! Don't let go! Colleen: This is so hard! Oh my god! JD: Hang in there, don't give in!
Landon: C'mon guys! Devon: Don't give in! JD: Alright girls you've been hanging for 1 minute so far.
Danielle: Oh no... Meredith: I'm gonna slip. Christine: I don't think I can do this. Christine slides down low onto the pole. JD: Oh! Christine just had a big slip! C'mon, Christine, hold on! Angela begins slip a little. JD: Hang in there, Angela!
JD: You've been going for 4 minutes, girls! C'mon, let's go, it's been 4 minutes! Sean and Kris: Let's go, girls, let's go! Whoo whoo! Let's go, girls, let's go! Whoo whoo! Jason: C'mon, Christine, you're still in it! splash! JD: Oh, Christine just fell! She's the 1st girl to be eliminated from the game! 2 slots remain, c'mon!
JD: You've been going for 9 minutes, girls! 9 minutes! Meredith: I don't think I can do this much longer! Angela begins to slip a little more. Devon: C'mon, Angela, lock your legs! JD: Hang on, Angela, don't give in! Colleen: It's okay, Meredith! Meredith: I gotta drop now. Colleen: C'mon, Meredith, you can do it! Meredith: I can't do this! JD: C'mon, Meredith, hang in there! Meredith nearly falls but then locks her legs at the pole base. Richie: Attagirl, Meredith! Don't even think about it! splash! JD: Oh! 2 girls have fallen so far, Christine and Meredith. One more girl falls and that's it! Landon: C'mon, y'all!
Next time on Endurance Amazon: It's crunch time for the last 8 girls as they compete for the right to stay: Angela: I'm about to fall off. Brielle: C'mon girls, don't give up! And the guys will compete for their right to stay: Colleen: Keep going, you guys! Danielle: Whooo!!! And later, the final 14 prepare to select their partners: Nicholette: Okay, who don't you want? Devon: This just so messed up! Who will get the chance to stay and pick a partner? Find out next time on Endurance Amazon!

JD: 2 girls have fallen so far, Christine and Meredith. One more girl falls and that's it! Landon: C'mon, y'all! JD: Hang in there, Karina! Don't let go! Sean: These girls are about to go down. Brielle: C'mon, lock your legs! Colleen: Please fall, please fall!
JD: It's now been 12 minutes, girls, just hang on! Angela: Shoot! I'm about to fall off. Oh, gosh. Landon: Hayley, you're fine! Hayley slides down low on the pole. Landon: Hayley! No, Hayley! Brayden: C'mon, Hayley! Just lock your legs! splash! Angela: YES!! JD: That's it, you girls made it! Jessie: YES!!! Oh my God! The girls who are safe fall, scream and cheer as they hit the water. JD: Christine, Meredith, and Hayley are going home. The remainder of you are the official Endurance girls!
Con. Karina: I was just like, don't let go the entire time. It was pretty nailbiting and when the 3rd girl dropped, I just was ecstatified! Con. Angela: When I was on there, it was terrible for me. When it was over, I was like, yeah, baby, I'm an official Endurance competitor!
Eliminated Girls:
Christine: I 'm just so mad at myself right now. Holding onto that pole made my arms and legs weak and then I tried to slide into a kinda like a sitting position. But, I went too far and lost.
Meredith: I kept telling Colleen that I couldn't do it and was doubting myself. But I am proud of what I accomplished while I was here.
Hayley: I thought I had my bearings down and then all of a sudden I got scared and my arms became butter. I wanted to stay real bad but I know that the girls who won will do great.
Back on the shore: JD: Okay, guys! You're up to go and prove to be strong. It's gonna be excessively difficult to beat the girls. Remember the first 3 to fall will leave immediately. Head on out!
Int. Kris: I am nervous about the Right-To-Stay and I'm also questioning if I do have enough willpower to be here. Int. Jason: I really wanna get past the first challenge, 'cause once you win, you're officially an Endurance player, and that's my main goal.
It starts to rain heavily. JD: And here comes the rain! Okay, guys, on your mark, get set, GO! The boys and the poles get lifted into the air. Nicholette: C'mon guys! Colleen: Hold on tight! JD: It just can't rain any harder than this! Jessie: C'mon guys! JD: You gotta ignore the rain, fellas!
JD: You guys've been on for exactly 6 minutes so far! Devon: Jason, don't let go, man. Landon: Just fall already! Karina: C'mon Sean! splash! JD: Oh! Kris fell. He's the 1st guy to be eliminated from the game. Danielle: Hold on, Zack!
JD: It's now been 14 minutes, guys! Hang on tight even in the rain! Devon begins shaking the poles. JD: Holy cow! Devon's tough, man! he's trying to make 'em fall! Landon: Please stop it! Angela: Don't let go, Zack! splash! JD: Oh! Zack fell in, and that's number 2. 1 more guy falls, and that's it! Devon shakes the poles even more. Landon: Please stop! Someone make him stop! Danielle: Hold on, Landon! Landon: I said STOOOOP IT NOOOOW!!!!! JD: Concentrate Richie! Don't let yourself go! splash! JD: Whoa! Richie went down. Kris, Zachary and Richie are going home, whereas the other 7 are staying. The guys who are safe drop from the poles and cheer and celebrate.
Int. Landon: Everyone, even Devon thought I was weak, but I proved everyone wrong and I survived! Int. Jahmil: Yeah, baby! I've done it! I'm an official Endurance player! I am so gonna win this entire thing to the end!
Eliminated Guys:
Kris: I was feeling pretty comfortable on the pole and then my arms and legs just went dead. I'm just so mad right now!
Zachary: I never expected myself to fall. I thought it was in the bag, but the rain kept on, and I just surrendered. I learned on Endurance that anything's possible.
Richie: I'm just speechless. I knew I couldn't hang on much longer because the rain was just relentless. I learned that I need to grow a little more, so that's what I'm gonna do.
Back on shore, the 14 contestants stand with JD: JD: All i gotta say is you guys've done it! You're now the official Endurance Amazon players! All: Yeah! (Cheering and Clapping) JD: Well, take some time tomorrow to celebrate and get acquainted 'cause you'll be picking partners and team colors tomorrow. JD walks off and leaves the contestants celebrating.
The next morning: JD walks over to the huts: JD: Morning everyone! All: Morning! The contestants walk out onto the hut steps. JD: How'd you sleep? Danielle: Pretty good. JD: Well, it must've been sad to see 6 of your friends go. Landon, it was especially hard for you. Am I right? Landon: Yeah. Hayley was like my best friend around here. JD: Well, we should get right to it. Today's a very big day today, because today, you're gonna be picking partners and team colors. Everyone smiles awkwardly and silence from the kids. JD: Okay, does anyone have any idea who they want? Everyone is silent. JD: Nobody? Well, I think you should make it clear to anyone you want because this year, you get to pick your partner. Jaws drop and everyone gasps. Jason: You gotta be kidding! Colleen: Oh my God! JD: That's right, this year, you get to pick your own teammate and you may even get the most power of who you want. So, as I said, negotiate with your fellow players to find out who you want, and I'll see you later at the mission. JD walks off, leaving the contestants in shock.
Everyone is talking in the huts: Danielle: Okay, guys, we need to talk about who we want! Colleen: Just tell us what your top picks are. Landon: I'd probably want Jessie, Angela or Nicholette. Brayden: Jessie, do you have a problem with that? Jessie: No offense, but I wouldn't really want Landon as a teammate. Danielle: Okay, now, one team has to be set. Anyone else? Sean: My top 2 are Karina and Nicholette. Angela: Well, mine are Troy, Jason and Jahmil. Nicholette: Okay, this isn't gonna work out for me! Jahmil: Why? C'mon, Sean's a sweet guy, just cut him some slack. Nicholette: No offense to Sean, I swear. But, if we were on the same team, our personas would clash. Danielle: Okay, does anyone else wanna speak up? Karina: Well, I think you need to tell us before the game.
Con. Brayden: I hope this doesn't get outta hand, because this could make some people real mad and I'm not ready for that to happen.
Jason, Troy, Devon, Jahmil, Brielle, Angela, Colleen and Danielle are talking in the crow's nest: Jason: To tell ya the truth, I don't want Karina, I want you Brielle. Brielle: I'm so happy that you said that 'cuz I want you too! Angela: I don't want Sean with me at all! He's a little guy, and that might affect my game. Troy: I wanted you, Angie. Devon: Okay, I have an idea. Since it's opponents against one another, we oughta work together and put each other on 4 teams; me and Colleen, Jahmil and Danielle, Troy and Angela and Jason and Brielle. Then we can form an alliance and pick off the other 3 teams one by one. Colleen: That's a stellar plan! But we'd have to work pretty hard to choose the teams first! Jahmil: We also need to make sure that no one else steals our partner.
Int. Danielle: I'm so happy with the plan that Devon devised, and I'm so happy that I could be with Jahmil, 'cause he's way better than Landon!
Karina, Nicholette and Jessie are talking in the huts: Nicholette: I'm worried, 'cause no one's set me with anyone. Jessie: For me, I kinda want Brayden, 'cause we might be the team that works well together. Karina: I don't want Landon, 'cause he's sorta not too strong. Jessie: No one seems to want him. Nicholette: I have something better! I'll go with Landon, and you'll get Sean, Karina. Karina: Thanks so much! I'll do the same for you!
Everyone is talking on the hammocks: Angela: Well, here's our ideal plan: it goes like me and Troy, Devon and Colleen, Brielle and Jason and Danielle and Jahmil. Brayden: I gotta say, that sounds really good. Jessie: Everyone should stick to the plan because we're all friends here, right? Kids: That's right! Sean: Let the games begin... Landon: And the best team win!
Int. Jason: I'm hoping that the plan works, 'cause if it does, we'll have the strongest alliance here.
At the mission: JD: Hey guys! All: Hey! JD: Well, I hope you all talked about partners. Danielle: You know we all did! JD: And...? Troy: We all had it sorted out. JD: Well, now it's crunch time. It's now time to determine the rest of your time here on Endurance. This is how it works. As you can see right there are several racks with coconuts numbered 1-9. When I say go, you're gonna run along the gorund grabbing the numbers and trying to put them into the right sequence. Seems easy, right? Just remember where the numbers go. Well here's a twist. There are only 7 racks here, which means 7 of you will be squeezed out in the first round. The first player to get the number sequence right will win the power of getting the partner they want. It's just as simple as that! Go ahead and get in position. ... JD: Okay, I'll now show you the sequence. It goes 6, 9, 2, 1, 4, 5, 7, 3 and 8. Your job is to memorize that as fast as you can. On your mark, get set, GO! The kids all run out and begin grabbing various numbered coconuts. JD: Remember, you wanna be one of the first seven to get to the racks! Seven of the contestants get to the racks. JD: Okay, those who didn't make it in time, you've been squeezed out.
Eliminated: Jessie, Jahmil, Colleen, Sean, Brayden, Troy and Nicholette. Remaining: Brielle, Angela, Landon, Devon, Jason, Karina and Danielle.
JD: Okay, it's now time to reveal who had the correct sequence! Landon, your sequence went 6, 9, 8, 1, 4, 5, 7, 3 and 2. That wasn't correct. Okay, it's time to reveal Jason's. His sequence is wrong as well: the 5 was in place of the 9. Let's see Angela's sequence. Hers is incorrect as well: there was a 4 in place of 7. Karina, yours was wrong as well. It's the 6 that came first, not 1. Devon, you sequence was correct! You followed all 9 numbers in order. Danielle, yours was incorrect because you had 8 instead of 7. Okay. Brielle's sequence is now the deciding factor in this. If it's right, she'll go against Devon in a knockout round. If it isn't, Devon has won the partner mission. Let's reveal! JD shows Brielle's number sequence. JD: Oh! It was right, just like Devon's; which means it's now time for a knockout round. As far as the other 5, you're out of the game, you can head on over and take a seat. Devon and Brielle are at the starting line again. JD: Alright, here's the new sequence: 8, 5, 2, 6, 1, 9, 3, 4 and 7. Okay, whoever wins this round will decide who's with whom. On your mark, get set, GO!
Next time on Endurance Amazon: The contestants will work to select partners: Shows the kids walking over to the team triangles. And one player will do something so unthinkable that it will shock everyone: Angela: Oh my God! Sean: How could she even consider doing that! Who will get the partner that'll decide the remainder of their time on Endurance? Find out next time on Endurance Amazon!

Last time on Endurance Amazon: Strategies emerged from the get-go as the contestants battled for their right to stay: Landon: I said STOOOOP IT NOOOOW!!!!! And 6 were eliminated the very first day. The following day, the 14 survivors collaborated to select their teammates. However, 8 contestants worked together secretly as one to jumble up the teams and get their partners that they wanted and form an alliance: Int. Jason: I'm hoping that the plan works, 'cause if it does, we'll have the strongest alliance here. In the game, several of the teens were cut, but only 2 remained to determine the fate of the game. Now, the 2 remaining players will battle it out to get the partners that they want. Who will get what they want and who will end up with a partner they didn't expect to get? Find out as we see who possesses the greatest Endurance!
At the partner game: JD: Okay, whoever wins this round will decide who's with whom. On your mark, get set, GO! Devon and Brielle run out and grab the numbered coconuts. JD: Okay, it looks like it'll be a fight to the finish! Both contestants finish putting together their sequences. JD: Okay, we are now gonna reveal who got the number sequence correct. Brielle, you did awesome, but you have a little fluke: 2 was supposed to be in place of 9. As far as you, Devon......your sequence was right! You have now won the partner game! Devon: Oh, yeah! That's what I'm talkin' 'bout! The other contestants cheer and clap.
Numbers: Devon-1 Brielle-2 Landon-3 Danielle-4 Angela-5 Karina-6 Jason-7 Nicholette-8 Jahmil-9 Troy-10 Jessie-11 Colleen-12 Sean-13 Brayden-14
The contestants are all now standing from 14-1 in front of the team-colored rings. JD: Okay. It's now time to determine who the person is that's gonna either make or break this game for you. We're gonna start with number 14 until we go to number 1. Alright, Brayden, starting with you, you can pick a color to call your own. Your choices are orange, brown, blue, yellow, green, gray, purple or red. What're you gonna do? Brayden: I'm gonna have to go with Gray.
JD: Okay, Sean. It's your turn. What would you like to do? Sean: I'm going to Blue. JD: Alright, next number is 12, which is Colleen's. You've got a few options: partner up with Brayden or Sean, or you can pick one of the other 5 colors. What do you wanna do? Colleen: I think I'm gonna pick Red. JD: Okay, now. Jessie, you can partner up with Sean or Brayden, or you can pick green, purple, orange or yellow. What's your choice? Jessie: I'm gonna partner up with Brayden. Int. Brayden: When Jessie chose me to be her teammate, I was like yes because we'd spoken to one another early on and that's what'll make us a good team.
JD: Now we have the first partnership of the season: the Gray team- Jessie and Brayden. Troy, you can do something now. You can partner up with Colleen or pick your own color. What're you gonna do? Troy: I'm gonna choose Purple. JD: Let's carry on. Jahmil, you can do a lot of things. You may join up with Colleen or pick green, yellow or orange. What's the word? Jahmil: I'll pick Green. JD: Okay, now it's time for Nicholette to choose. But before she does that, I have a twist. Everyone looks so shocked. JD: Those of you with lower numbered balls can bump out someone to get who they want. I know it might not be a good way to make friends, but it's for winning. Nicholette, you're the first one who can bump out Jessie and take Brayden, or you can partner up with Sean or Troy. What's your decision? Nicholette: I'm gonna join up with Jahmil. JD: Okay, Jason, you can do a lot. You can bump out Brayden o Jahmil, or you can pick yellow or orange. What's your plan? Jason: I'm gonna go with Yellow.
JD: Okay, 6 of the 7 colors have been taken. Karina, you can bump out one of the girls, or you can join up with Troy, Jason or Sean. What is it? Karina: I'll join Jason on yellow. Int. Karina: When I chose Jason, that was the best feeling ever. I know me and him are gonna do really good in the game. JD: Okay, Angela. Here are your options: you can partner up with Troy or Sean, or you may bump one of the girls. What's your word? Angela: I'll partner up with Troy. JD: Alright. Danielle, you may bump a girl or join Sean or take orange. What's your choice? Danielle: Sorry, but I'm gonna take Jahmil. Nicholette: What! Int. Nicholette: I was just shocked when she chose Jahmil! She still had to do what she had to do, regardless of what happened. JD: Okay, Nicholette: You have 2 options: join Sean or pick orange. What'll you do? Nicholette: I'll just go with Sean. JD: The Blue team's been formed, and it's Sean and Nicholette. Int. Sean: I guess Nicholette could be a good partner. She wasn't my first pick, but I think it'll work. Int. Nicholette: I don't want Sean! I want Jahmil! But since he's gone, I got Sean. This really sucks.
JD: The next one is Landon. You can pick orange or bump someone. What's it gonna be? Landon: I'm gonna pick Orange. Int. Colleen: When he chose Orange, I felt a little left out because me and Landon hung out a lot, but I'm fine with what he did. JD: Now, Brielle, the only girl with a real low number- which is 2, which means you're gonna be solidified to get the guy you want. You have 6 guys out there. Is there one you'd like in particular? Brielle: I'd like to say Jason. Everyone gasps and some jaws drop. Colleen: She said you! Angela: Oh my God! Sean: How could she even consider doing that! Int. Karina: When Brielle said she wanted Jason, everyone was like, "Why would she consider doing that!" and a lot of stuff. JD: Brielle gets to go to Yellow, which means Karina's been bumped. Brayden: Oh my gosh! Danielle: She is gonna hate her forever. Int. Brielle: I know some people claimed it was wrong for me to do that, I did it for a reason and with a good partner like Jason, I might get far in the game. JD: Okay, Karina, your only thing to do now is go to an open spot, which Landon is the only one. Int. Landon: Well, Karina was paired up with me, which she doesn't like 'cause I guess she's insanely in love with Jason. We've only known one another for about 2 days, but they're gonna be soulmates and get married.
JD: Okay, Devon. It's crunch time. The girl you wanna pick will automatically will be your partner for the remainder of the game. Who have you decided to be your partner? Devon: It was hard for me to determine this........... but I'm gonna have to pick Colleen. JD: And with that, all 7 teams've been solidified. Okay, that's it guys. The person you're standing next to is partner for your game. Get to know 'em and I'll see you later to award your pieces. Everyone walks back to the huts, talking or hugging, excited or not about the teams.
Endurance Amazon Teams: Blue Team: Sean and Nicholette Gray Team: Brayden and Jessie Green Team: Jahmil and Danielle Orange Team: Landon and Karina Purple Team: Troy and Angela Red Team: Devon and Colleen Yellow Team: Jason and Brielle
Int. Jason: The partner selection couldn't have been more perfect! The outcome was just excellent! Now, Yellow, Green, Red and Purple have a truely solid alliance that won't be broken up. Int. Karina: I'm really upset about getting Landon. He's still an okay guy. I mean Brielle knew I wanted Jason, and we're now sworn enemies. She's a total backstabber! Int. Jessie: What Brielle did showed total bad character and you don't wanna show that, especially in the beginning of the game. She's made a lot of people look upon her as a bad girl, it's not even funny anymore. Int. Devon: Jason had a dilemma, y'know? He just didn't know to choose either Karina or Brielle. So he didn't wanna be the bad guy, so he told Brielle before the game to pick him and let me get the number 1 ball. Int. Colleen: I was excited to see Karina get bumped out of the Yellow ring because me, Jason, Brielle and Devon are friends and we stuck to our original plan. I think that once the other 3 teams're eliminated because they cause drama, that this game'll be more better.
Outside the huts: Angela: Oh my gosh, it's raining out! Danielle: Why don't we have some fun! Everyone runs out and begins playing in the rain and mud. Int. Nicholette: Everyone was having a lot of fun in the mud, 'cause usually we don't get to do that at home. Int. Brayden: We were all just killing one another in the mud, and it's just been the best fun since we've been here. Int. Jahmil: When we had fun in the mud, all the tension from the partner game just disappeared and we had the time of our lives.
The teams walk out of the huts onto the grass before the bridge where the seven Endurance poles stand. JD: I like the way these teams look! The 7 official teams of Endurance Amazon are standing here in front of me. Now, it's time to really get this game going. Behind me are the 14 pyramid pieces of Endurance. They are Leadership, Heart, Discipline, Trust, Courage, Perseverance, Commitment, Knowledge, Strength, Luck, Teamwork, Ingenuity, Friendship and Karma. Now, as you all know, it's your duty to collect all 14 pyramid pieces first. As a little gift to you guys, I'm gonna start you off with 1 piece. Purple team, your piece is Teamwork. You 2 need to work together if you wanna make it to the end. Red team, yours is Friendship. You'll have to make a strong bond just to guarantee yourselves success. Yellow team, I'm gonna give you Heart. You need to put your whole heart into the game if you can win. Gray team, the Strength piece is yours. You know you need physical and mental power to make it all the way. Orange team, your piece is Knowledge. Having more than intelligence is vital to do well. Green team, the Trust piece is yours. You'll need to trust not only those around you, but your partner as well. Blue team, your piece is Commitment. Hopefully you can stay dedicated to not only the game, but to your partner as well. Now that we've done that, go on and hang 'em up. The teams hang the pieces on their poles. JD: Okay, we've got the official competitors, 7 teams and your first pyramid piece. it's time to find out what the grand prize is. The winners of Endurance Amazon will be going on the trip of a lifetime to Belize! Brielle: Holy cow! Troy: No way! They all cheer and clap. JD: That's right. The winning team gets a 10-day trip to Belize on the Caribbean Sea. They're gonna get to explore the lush rainforests and meet some of the world's rarest creatures up and close like the jaguars, toucans and even howler monkeys. Then you're gonna take a dive to explore the white sandy beaches and the marvelous coral reefs and even take a dolphin swim. It's all courtesy of Belize expeditions. It's an unforgettable experience that only one team will get. Does that sound like a great prize? All: Yeah! JD: Well, that's all for now, but tomorrow, you're gonna face your very first test as a team. Can't tell you what it is, but you'll see tomorrow. I'll see you all then. The teams walk back to the huts.

Last time on Endurance Amazon: The partner selection of the season set off a firestorm between the 14 remaining players. During the challenge, many of the contestants were shocked when Devon, Colleen, Jahmil, Danielle, Troy, Angela, Jason and Brielle took control and formed many of the Endurance teams. Sean and Nicholette were upset when they didn't get the partners they wanted and Nicholette was even more outraged when they got paired up with one another: Int. Nicholette: I don't want Sean! I want Jahmil! But since he's gone, I got Sean. This really sucks. And Karina swore a vengeance on the Yellow Team: Int. Karina: I mean Brielle knew I wanted Jason, and we're now sworn enemies. Furthermore, the 7 teams were formed. And they are: Purple team: Troy and Angela Red team: Devon and Colleen Yellow team: Jason and Brielle Gray team: Brayden and Jessie Green team: Jahmil and Danielle Orange team: Landon and Karina Blue team: Sean and Nicholette Today, the teams will face an unexpected twist as the 6 losers from day 1 return. Who will return to the jungles of Colombia and get a place on Endurance again? Find out as we see who possesses the greatest Endurance!
Shows JD standing on the small hill with 6 kids walking towards it: JD: Hey guys! All: Hey! JD: On all accounts, you should be going home. You had a privilege to stay here, but you just couldn't hang on. Well, since you had enough endurance to play in that game, we brought you back here for a reason because we're giving you a second chance. Hayley: Shut up! JD: That's right. You 6 are gonna compete in one final game to be on Endurance again. The winner of that will win a chance to pick a partner and become the 8th team-- the Brown team on Endurance. Get yourselves psyched for it, and I'll see you at the challenge. JD walks off to the jungles, leaving the remaining 6 excited.
The 6 eliminees are talking in the shade: Kris: I still can't believe we get another shot to do this! Meredith: I'm so happy that this is happening. It's like having a 2nd chance in life. Richie: I can't wait to get a partner, y'all! Zachary: No offense, but if I win, no hard feelings to anyone. Christine: To tell ya the truth, if I won, I'd probably pick Zack or Kris. Meredith: Same with me. I really would want Zack. Int. Zachary: I'm really hoping that the challenge is physical, so I can beat out the other 5, as long as it isn't hanging onto a rod in the rain. Hayley: Well, what if you lost again, wouldn't that be like you lost twice in life? Meredith: I don't think it's right to think negative, but you gotta think positive. You really don't need to think about losing again. Let's shake hands on 3! 1, 2, 3! All: Losers unite! They all shake hands. Int. Zachary: If I got a 2nd chance, I'd be a lot more grateful and appreciative of what I've gotten.
Back at the huts: JD walks towards the huts as the contestants come out of them. JD: Hey guys! All: Hey! JD: Now, out of all the Endurances we've done so far, I gotta say this one was the biggest one of all. You've had to endure a lot, and I'm proud of you for that. But, there's a long road you have to progress thru if you wanna be the Endurance champ. Now, yesterday, when we were having the partner selection, Brielle, I noticed a lot of upset faces, mostly the one to your right. Are things okay between both of you? Karina: Yeah, it's okay by me. She had to do what she had to do, and if that's the way she wants to play the game, I accept it wholeheartedly. And me and Landon are gonna play the game we decide to do it. JD: Now, Jessie. I see you and Karina hanging out and socializing a lot. How do feel about what happened? Jessie: What I think is that Brielle's move could affect her game, but I hope that people are gonna play their cards right. JD: Green team, what do you gotta say about that? Danielle: I just wanna stay out of it and not get involved in it. JD: As you all know, you'll be playing your first Endurance Mission and the very first Samadhi later on, but before we get into that, I have a big surprise. The contestants mutter and gasp. JD: Do you remember, on the 1st day, when we competed and the 6 contestants were eliminated? Well, they're back! The 6 contestants walk in. All: (Cheering and Clapping) JD: Okay, the 6 who just came back, stand on the left, all the teams stand on the right. Now, 6 of your friends are back, but only 2 will be automatically staying. They're gonna compete in one more game to determine who'll make up the 8th team on Endurance, which is the Brown team. Take some time to reunite with your friends, but only 2 of the eliminees will be partners for the rest of this game. I'll see you later.
Int. Karina: I knew there was gonna be a twist somewhere, 'cause the twists and turns are the biggest things on Endurance. When we saw the 6 kids who left on the 1st day, I knew it was gonna be huge. Int. Landon: When Hayley came back, I was like yes! I also felt happy and sad because I'm praying that she's the one who comes back, 'cause we'll be soulmates. Con. Hayley and Landon: Hayley: Okay, on 3, we say that we're soulmates. Landon: That's fine by me. 1, 2, 3! Hayley and Landon: We're soulmates! Int. Jahmil: I think it's a great thing that Zack came back, because I didn't know that he was gonna leave the first day. I hope he wins because we'll become inseparable and make it to the end. Int. Meredith: I'm just psyched to be back. I can't wait to prove to myself and to everyone else that I truly belong here.
At the mission: JD: Hey guys! All: Hey! JD: Well, this is it. It's time to find out the 2 contestants who will be returning to Endurance. Here's what you gotta do: as you can see, there's a pole with a foot-long plank on top. When I say go, you're gonna balance that with one of these carvings right here. You can only use your hands, and you can't switch them. If you let that carving fall, you're out. The last person to keep their carving up will win a spot on Endurance again and the chance to choose their partner. Go ahead and get in position. ... JD: Okay, the winner of the challenge gets to be on Endurance again and form the Brown Team. On your mark, get set, GO! The kids put their carvings onto the planks. JD: Remember, you want the Perseverance piece and a comeback on Endurance! Colleen: Don't let it fall! Brayden: You guys shouldn't worry! Angela: You're a rock, Kris; just hold on! Landon: You can do it, Hayley!
6 minutes later: JD: You guys've been at it for 6 minutes. Don't let that carving fall! Christine's carving starts to move. JD: Whoa! Christine almost fell! Hold on, Christine! Jessie: Don't worry, Christine, it's okay! Jason: Just find your happy place! Christine lets her carving drop. JD: Oh! Christine is the first person eliminated from the game. Only 4 more spots to go.
11 minutes later: JD: It's now been 11 minutes, you guys! Just stay in it. Richie nearly lets his carving drop. JD: Whoa! Richie almost fell, but the others are staying strong. Brielle: You can do it! Sean: You the man, Zack! Richie lets the carving collapse. JD: Oh! Richie's the 2nd person out. Only one can survive. Hold on, you guys! Hayley begins to shake. JD: Whoa! Hayley's really shaking! C'mon, you can do this! Landon: he's right! Just stay in, Hayley. Hayley: I don't think I can do this! Colleen: Don't think negative! It's okay! Nicholette: Don't let that fall, Hayley! Hayley drops her carving. JD: Oh! Hayley is done. One of the 3 remaining players will get power. Keep going! Meredith's carving almost falls. Colleen: No, Meredith! JD: Whoa! Meredith almost let it fall. Meredith's carving shakes and then it drops. JD: Oh, oh, oh! Meredith is out of the game. The challenge will now be one of these 2 guys choosing one of these 3 girls. Sean: You're our guy, Zack! Jahmil: You got this, my man!
27 minutes later: JD: It's now been 27 minutes, fellas! It looks like they both really wanna win. Devon: You got this, Zack! Sean: C'mon, Zack! Angela: you've gotten this far! Kris tries to push up the carving JD: Whoa! Kris is desperately trying not to fall! Danielle: C'mon, Kris! Kris: Uuunnggghhh!!! JD: Kris is really struggling, but Zachary's making it look easy! Kris lets his carving fall JD: That's it! Zack won this challenge. Zachary puts down his carving while the contestants cheer and applaud.
Back on the grass: JD: I can't believe it! Zack, you lasted nearly 30 minutes and beat out the other 5 for a spot back on Endurance. You win the Perseverance piece as a reward, but now you have something else to decide. You'll have to pick one of these 3 girls to join you on the Brown team. Who have you decided to pick for your partner? Zachary: I'm gonna pick Meredith 'cause she was last of the girls to endure the challenge. The contestants murmur and some jaws drop JD: Okay, as of now, you 2 are now oficially the Brown Team. As for the other 4, you didn't make it back, but I wanna congratulate you for making it all the way to the jungles of Colombia. All the contestants hug before the 4 eliminees leave. JD: Okay, now that you've got your team shirts on, it's now time to inform you of what else will happen later on. You'll be playing your first Endurance Mission and the Samadhi. Don't get to comfy, and I'll see you over there. JD walks off, then all the contestants cheer, applaud and whoop.
Endurance Amazon Teams and Pieces: Brown team: Zachary and Meredith=Perseverance Purple team: Troy and Angela=Teamwork Red team: Devon and Colleen=Friendship Yellow team: Jason and Brielle=Heart Gray team: Brayden and Jessie=Strength Orange team: Landon and Karina=Knowledge Green team: Jahmil and Danielle=Trust Blue team: Sean and Nicholette=Commitment
In the huts: Jahmil: Man, I'm so happy y'all are back. Zachary: I agree, man. Jahmil: Now that our friendship's stronger than ever, all we gotta do is see who we need and who we don't need. Zachary: That sounds real sweet!
Int. Jahmil: I'm just really happy that Zack's back 'cause we're really good friends and if anything happens, we'll be together and make it to the end. Int. Zachary: Me and Jahmil formed an alliance that's pretty much inseparable and after today's game, we'll discover which teams are strong and who aren't. Int. Landon: I'm really mad at Zack 'cause he didn't choose Hayley. He's so arrogant and thinks he's the best on Endurance, which I know is a lie. Hello, Zack; you already got eliminated once, and I'll make it happen again. To tell ya the truth, I really don't wanna see his stupid face around here.
Next time on Endurance Amazon: The teams all face their very first challenge: Shows the teams holding onto a pole over the water. Jahmil: This is bad! Devon: Aaaarghh!! I'm droppin' it! Some teams begin to strengthen: Jason: We make such an awesome team! Brielle: We're gonna show 'em who's boss! While some teams' partnerships will struggle: Sean: Why can't you just shut up, you annoying drama queen!! Nicholette, yelling at Sean: Urgh! You're a horrible partner!!! Who will be able to take complete control of the game? Find out next time on Endurance Amazon!

Last time on Endurance Amazon: In a surprising twist, the six who where eliminated the first day learned that they had a second chance to be on Endurance: Hayley: Shut up! The contestants all reunited, but only 2 could win a spot to be in the game again. In the end, it was Zachary who rose above the other 5 and got a spot back on Endurance. He chose Meredith to be his partner and they became the 8th team on Endurance, the Brown team. Today, the teams will face their first mission to date. Who has the Discipline to prove themselves to be a strong team? Find out as we see who possesses the greatest Endurance!
The theme song begins:
8 Teams Shows teens walking up the mesa
16 Challenges Shows a guy pulling himself up on a pulley
350 Inches of Rain a Year Shows the jungles and mountains with the wildlife
Endurance: Amazon Shows the Endurance: Amazon logo
Int. Jason: I'm really happy to be on the Yellow Team! I'm exicted to be partners with Brielle 'cause we get along great and that's how we're a good team. Int. Angela: At first, the conversation between me and Troy was slow but now we get along very well now. Int. Brayden: Everyone is saying that Gray is a threat because me and Jessie get along well. All I can say is that I have a solid but secret alliance with Orange. Int. Colleen: Devon's a good guy and we're getting along pretty good. I don't think we're too strong but we're just really good friends and that's a start.
Orange and Gray are talking on the hammocks: Karina: I'm really excited about today's mission! Jessie: So am I! I think that me and Brayden are gonna have a good chance of winning. Landon: I think right now we need to worry about the game. Brayden: Y'know, he's right! Jessie: We do need to get focused on the game. Landon: Okay, so if 1 of us wins, who are we gonna give the Samadhi to? Karina: Well, Blue's having a lot of problems... Jessie: I think we oughta wait until the game and then we'll know.
Yellow, Green, Purple and Red are talking in the huts: Jahmil: So did you guys think about a really strong alliance? Colleen: Well, our alliance would be best if we outnumbered the other 3 teams. Troy: i know 4 of us are all good. Brielle: 'Cuase together we're really strong. Danielle: As long as no one backstabs anyone or anything. Angela: That's right! We all have gotta stay loyal to one another! Jason: So it's all planned out, right? Devon: Right, so let's shake hands! Brielle: That's the truth. We need to step up in this game if we want Orange, Gray and Blue gone. Troy: Okay, this sounds like a plan. You all gotta shake on it! They all shake hands.
Blue team is talking in the other hut: Nicholette: I'm friends with a lot of people so don't screw up the game for me. Sean: I dunno, some people think you're a total drama queen. Nicholette: What the heck! They need to get a life! Sean: Well, why don't you like talking to me? Nicholette: 'Cause you're a total rat! Sean: Stop that! You're lying! Nicholette: Oh, so now you believe the others about me?! Sean: You really gotta stop it! If we keep this up, we might go home! Nicholette: Well, I'm focused on making friendships with the others and getting far. Sean: Gosh, shut your mouth! I'm focused on the game and the Samadhi! Nicholette: You're really annoying and I hate you! Sean: Yeah, well, TOUGH LUCK!!! I'm your partner and you need to accept that even when I'm being myself! Sean walks out of the hut. Con. Sean: Nicholette needs to get over herself! If she acts like a drama queen, i dunno if we'll be able to stay in the game
Brown team is talking in the crow's nest: Meredith: I'm so happy to be back in the game! Zachary: So am I. Now, we gotta worry about today's game. Meredith: Why? Zachary: 'Cause, then we'll see who's a strong team and who's the weakest. Meredith: On the strongest, I'd say Yellow or Gray. Zachary: Why them? Meredith: They're big and everyone targets them for their teamwork. Zachary: I'd say the weakest is Blue. Meredith: I guess we can figure out why. Zachary: The reason's clear! Nicholette and Sean won't get along and that'll affect them hugely. Meredith: Let's just hope one of those 3 gets the Samadhi. Zachary: Let's just hope that we win!
At the mission: JD: Hey guys! All: Hey! JD: As you all know, this is your first Endurance Mission, and that means you'll win the Discipline pyramid piece and this............the dreaded Samadhi. Inside is something that will put one team at a severe handicap in the first Temple Mission. You wanna know what today's game is? All: Yeah! JD: Alright, here's the mission. Partners are gonna stand side by side and hold a long pole inside this giant metal hoop. The hoop has a small flame at its tip and your goal is to keep your pole above that. Now, if the pole touches any part of your hoop, the fire will expand, and it'll mean you're out of the game. The last team standing will win the Discipline piece and the power of the Samadhi. Think you can do it? All: Yeah! JD: Well, head on into position. ... JD: Okay, winner gets another piece and the Samadhi. On your mark, get set, GO! The teams lift the poles above their heads. Jason: You feel okay? Brielle: I'm doing fine. Danielle: You need a rest? Jahmil: Yeah. Colleen: We got this! Meredith: Zack, you are a rock. Just hold on! JD: Just stay on, everyone! You can do this! It starts raining heavily. JD: And here comes the rain, once again! Brayden: Is it me, or does every challenge we have involve some sorta rain?
5 minutes later: JD: Okay, you guys've been going for almost 5 minutes! Just keep yourselves in it! Meredith: I'm going already! Zachary: No, you're not. You can do this! Landon: I dunno how much I'll be able to keep this up for! Troy: My fingers are starting to burn. Angela: Just ignore the pain and hold on! JD: Everyone's doing great, but Orange and Brown're really struggling! Meredith: I don't think I can do this! Zachary: Don't let go! Brown team drops their pole into the ring. JD: Oh! The brown team is out of the game. Karina: Don't let it fall, Landon! Landon: I'm too tired to do it! Orange team drops their pole into the ring. JD: And our second team, the Orange team, is out. Sean: My arms feel like noodles now! Nicholette: Don't let it touch! Sean: Just a bit more than a little! Nicholette: Just keep it above! Blue team drops their pole into the ring. JD: And another team, the Blue team, is out of the game!
11 minutes later: JD: You've all been going for 11 minutes, everyone! Colleen: You feel good? Devon: I feel weak, but I can do this. Brielle: My arms feel sore. Jason: You can't give up! Brayden: Y'all need a rest? Jessie: Yeah, I do! JD: Brayden's letting Jessie take rest! Man, he's tough! Troy: Hey, Jahmil, is this bad? Jahmil: This is bad! Troy: Yeah, this is so bad! Devon: Aaaarghh!! I'm droppin' it! Colleen: Don't let your hands slip! Devon: I can't! Both arms're dead. Red team drops their pole into the ring. JD: Oh, that's it! Red team's out! We're down to the final four- Yellow, Gray, Purple and Green. Jason: You tired? Jahmil: No! Are y'all tired? Jason: No way! You're so tired! Yellow team drops their pole into the ring. JD: Yellow team is out! So that leaves only 3. We're about to make this game a little harder! Angela: What! Danielle: No! JD: Okay, on the count of 3, you can only hold on with 1 arm, and you can't switch 'em. 1, 2, 3, go! The teams take off at least one arm.
29 minutes later: JD: You've been going for almost 30 minutes, you guys! Troy: How long can you go for? Angela: i think just longer. Danielle: My arms are wobbly! I gotta let it drop! Jahmil: Oh no you don't! Danielle: My arms are slipping right off! jahmil: You can do this! Green team drops their pole into the ring. JD: And with that, Green team is done. It's down to only Gray and Purple! Only one is gonna win another pyramid piece and the Samadhi!
41 minutes later: JD: You've been going for almost 40 minutes, you guys! Jason: C'mon, Purple! JD: Looks like Purple's getting some support! jessie: Oh my god! Brayden: What is it? Other than our crampin' hands! Jessie: I'm slipping already! Brayden: No, you can do it! Jessie: I'm trying; I'm going! Angela: They're definitely losing. jessie: I can't do this! My fingers are too sweaty! Troy: We've made it all the way to the final 2. Angela: Please hit it, please hit it Jessie: I'm done! Brayden: No you're not--Oh! Gray team drops their pole into the ring. Angela: We won! Troy: YES! Purple team hugs. JD: And with that, the Purple team wins the first Endurance Amazon challenge. You guys now have the Discipline piece, and also this... the Samadhi. In there, it's a powerful handicap for one team in tomorrow's Temple Mission. You've got all day to decide, and I'll see you up on the little island to see who's getting it. Angela: Oh my God! Troy: WHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Purple and the others hug.
Endurance Amazon Teams and Pieces: Brown team: Zachary and Meredith=Perseverance Purple team: Troy and Angela=Teamwork and Discipline Red team: Devon and Colleen=Friendship Yellow team: Jason and Brielle=Heart Gray team: Brayden and Jessie=Strength Orange team: Landon and Karina=Knowledge Green team: Jahmil and Danielle=Trust Blue team: Sean and Nicholette=Commitment
Int. Angela: Well, me and Troy just won the first Endurance Mission for Endurance Amazon. That feels awesome! I love being in control! Int. Landon: Well, the Purple team won today, which didn't make me happy. I know exactly what they're gonna do with the Samadhi, so I should just accept it. Int. Meredith: We all know now that the Purple team is a threat, and everyone just hopes they go home tomorrow.
Green, Gray and Yellow are talking the huts: Jason: Who do you think is gonna get the Samadhi? Danielle: I think it's gonna be Gray, Blue or Orange. Just 'cause they're the ones that our alliance doesn't want. Jessie: Okay, now I'm worried. Jahmil: Why? Brayden: 'Cause we were close to winning and they've got any reason to give it to us. Jessie: They really don't wanna give it to Yellow or Red. Colleen and Zachary walk in. Colleen: I think I heard Red. Why would Purple give it to us? Zachary: They just don't wanna give it to you. It's part of their alliance plan. Brielle: I just overheard Purple planning on giving it to Blue. Jason: What exactly did you hear? Brielle: They're planning on giving it to them because they're having many problems. Danielle: So they think that's the easy way out? Brielle: Yep. I think maybe we need to talk to them. Jessie: If you wanna help them, you can go ahead and do it. Brielle walks out of the hut.
Blue team talking on the hammocks: Nicholette: We did horrible today! Sean: Well, that was the best I could do. Nicholette: I know! But if we just perform like this in each challenge, people are gonna think of us as weak. Sean: That may be a good thing for us. Nicholette: I don't wanna be the weakest team! Sean: Why? Don't you wanna fly under the radar? Nicholette: No, I just don't like being perceived as weak. Sean: What's wrong with that? Nicholette: Argh! Why can't you just listen to me! Just try harder tomorrow! Nicholette walks off.
Everyone in the huts: Devon: Dude, you were awesome today! Troy: Duh! So am I! Jahmil: Looks like we're unstoppable! First the partner selection, now this! Meredith: Do you know who you're giving the Samadhi to? Danielle: If I were you, I'd consider Orange, Blue or Gray? Angela: I know why Blue deserves it because of their teamwork issues. Sean: I dunno if that's right. I know me and Nicholette are having problems, but I just wanna talk to her and sort things out. Colleen: Oh! There she is now! Nicholette walks into the hut. karina: What just went on out there?! Nicholette: I was, y'know... venting! Devon: Now, you can talk to Sean. Danielle: By the way, Sean wants to talk to you! Nicholette: Well, why doesn't he even speak to me directly then?!! Angela: 'Cause he doesn't like it when you yell! Nicholette, yelling at Sean: Urgh! You're a horrible partner!!! Devon: Whoa!
Int. Brayden: Nicholette is just gonna come outta nowhere and just explode at Sean like, "Aah! Why'd you pick me?!!!!" and all that stuff. Int. Zachary: She's just being too negative to him, and all the guys feel sorry for him. They all wish that she'd just stop acting like a drama queen and settle stuff out. Int. Jessie: Nicholette is like, so not open to Sean. A lot of people are targeting them because of that, and she should be grateful that she even got Sean for a partner.
Purple team talking outside the huts: Troy: So who are we gonna give it to? Angela: I've got absolutely no idea! Troy: This'll be really tough, but we gotta do it. Angela: We need to give it to Orange, Gray or Blue. Troy: I say Orange's outta the question because they're the ones who've proven the least. Angela: That leaves them to still have a reason why. Troy: Now, what about Gray or Blue? Angela: Well, Gray's obviously a strong team. They did place second. Troy: And Blue team's having the most problems; and a lot of people want them gone. Angela: I dunno with Nicholette and all that venting and stuff... Troy: We need to handicap someone, but at the same time, we shouldn't make it personal. Angela: I don't even know who to choose!
At the island: JD: Come on everyone and take a seat. This here's the island, where 2 of the most important decisions will be made in the game. The first one is who gets the Samadhi, and the other one is for who goes to the Temple of Fate. Now, Purple team; you won today's mission and now you have the power. Is that good for you or bad? Angela: I think it's a bad thing 'cause it's real hard and whoever gets it, I don't want you to take it personal. JD: Okay, now. It turns out this game's getting interesting. Brayden, who do you think's the weakest team? Brayden: i'd have to say the Blue team, 'cause you really got half a team. JD: What do you mean by that, exactly? Brayden: I'm saying that Nicholette's not doing the best she can to get along with Sean, and they need to get along if they wanna play the game. JD: Okay, as you all know teamwork's a big part in the game, and I hope that you 2 may sort things out, alright? Okay, are there any alliances in this game? Landon: Yes, there is. There's the Yellow-Red-Purple-Green alliance. JD: What do you expect to come of them, Landon? Landon: I just hope they self-destruct. JD: Alright, let's get down to business. It's now time to find out who the Purple team has decided to give the Samadhi to. Angela: We're really sorry to give it to this team... Troy: But we're doing it strategically and giving it to the Orange team. Karina: What?! JD: Okay, that came as a surprise, but Orange team, you now have the Samadhi. Go ahead and crack it open. Landon smashes the samadhi and an ear of corn falls out JD: Okay, this ear of corn indicates that you're gonna have a disadvantage in tomorrow's Temple Mission. It doesn't mean you're definitely gonna lose, it's only gonna make it a little difficult. Everyone, tomorrow is gonna be our very first elimination and by the night tomorrow, one team will be leaving this spectacular place forever. I'll see you tomorrow.
Int. Angela: We gave the Samadhi to Orange because Karina really starts a lot of drama with the girls and we think the camp would be better off without her. Int. Landon: First the Purple team lies to us about us being their friends; and then they give us the Samadhi. If me and Karina win tomorrow, Purple is so gonna have it coming for them because someone needs to break up that alliance for good.
Next time on Endurance Amazon: The teams face off in their first Temple Mission: Shows the teams throwing ears of corn into tower baskets. And when one team returns from the brink of elimination, the others all desperately scramble to not be eliminated at the Temple of Fate: Colleen: (crying) Please don't send me! Landon: It's okay, Colleen. Who will be the first team to leave, and who will return from the Temple of fate? Find out next time on Endurance Amazon!

Last time on Endurance Amazon: The 8 official teams all competed in their very first Endurance Mission: Jahmil: This is bad! In the end, it was the Purple team that came out on top: Angela: We won! Troy: YES! The Blue team seemed like they had more problems arising: Sean: What's wrong with that? Nicholette: Urgh! You're such a horrible partner! But at the island, it was the weaker Orange team that received a heavy disadvantage from the Samadhi: Shows the Samadhi being smashed. Today, the teams face their first elimination as they compete in the first Temple Mission: Shows an ear of corn being thrown into the Purple basket. Jessie: Get Yellow! Who's got the Teamwork to guarantee themselves a lock in the game? Find out as we see who possesses the greatest Endurance!
The theme song begins:
8 Teams Shows teens walking up the mesa
16 Challenges Shows a guy pulling himself up on a pulley
350 Inches of Rain a Year Shows the jungles and mountains with the wildlife
Endurance: Amazon Shows the Endurance: Amazon logo
At the mission: The episode begins with the 8 teams walking towards JD. JD: Hey guys! All: Hey! JD: How's everyone doing today? Teams: We're nervous. JD: Just by seeing you guys walk in here, I see you all know what's at stake today. Teams: Yeah. JD: Today is in fact, the first Temple Mission. And that also means that one team will be leaving tonight; their opportunities of being the Endurance champs, they're gone. So that means even though I have eight teams in front of me, after tonight, there's only gonna be seven. You ready to find out about the mission? All: Yeah. JD: Here's how the mission works. As you can see right there, there are 8 team-color baskets. Behind you are the ears of corn which are gonna be used in the game. When I say go, you're gonna use your sling to throw the ear of corn into any team's basket you want. If your tower gets 4 ears of corn of any team color, you're out of the game. The last team with less than four ears of corn in their basket wins the mission and guarantees themselves a lock for a few more days on Endurance; if you're to lose, you could be one of the 2 teams that journeys up there. Orange team, you got the Samadhi, which means you have one ear of corn sitting in your basket. It doesn't mean you're gonna definitely lose, it'll make your game a little harder. You guys ready to play? Teams: YEAH! JD: Then head into position. ... JD: Okay, winner gets the power to send 2 teams to go to the Temple of Fate. On your mark, get set, GO! The teams all begin going after different colors. Red aims at Orange and misses Blue misses Yellow Yellow misses Gray Brown gets Yellow Green misses Orange and Purple misses Gray Gray gets Red JD: Yellow and Red each have 1; 3 more and they're out! Orange is going after Red now! Green misses Yellow Brielle: Danielle! How could you?! Jahmil: Sorry! We were aiming for Gray! Nicholette: Sean! We gotta get Purple! Landon: Let's aim for Red! Jessie: Go get yellow! Purple misses Orange Orange gets Red and Gray gets Purple JD: Would you look at that! Purple team has 1 in, Red has 2; 2 more and they're done! Blue misses Green Yellow gets Orange JD: Oh, there it is! Yellow team just got one in Orange! Devon: We're going for Orange after this 'cause they keep targeting us! Colleen: Go ahead and do it! Karina: Get Purple! Meredith: Get Green! Orange gets another one in Red JD: Whoa! Orange team, even with the Samadhi, is on fire! And now they're headed after Yellow! Orange misses Yellow Gray misses Green Brown misses Purple Yellow misses Brown JD: Orange wants to be the ones to eliminate Red, can they do it? If Orange gets this one in, Red team's out! Orange gets a final one in Red Number of corn in baskets: Green: 0 Purple: 1 Brown: 0 Blue: 0 Yellow: 1 Gray: 0 Orange: 1 Red: 4 JD: Red team is out; 3 of the 4 ears of corn came from Orange! Orange gets Green Yellow gets gray Angela: You're the only one going for us, Orange! Karina: It's payback for the samadhi! Orange gets another one in Purple JD: Orange team is delivering an awful lot of pain on everyone! And now they just got one into Yellow! Sean: We need to get Yellow and Purple now! Yellow misses Orange Purple misses Brown Orange gets Purple JD: Orange team is now going out to close out the team that gave them the Samadhi; which was Purple! Green gets Brown Purple misses Gray Yellow gets Blue Green gets Blue Number of ears of corn in baskets: Green: 1 Purple: 3 Brown: 1 Blue: 2 Yellow: 2 Gray: 1 Orange: 1 Red: 4 JD: And now, Orange is getting effective on Purple! If they get this one, Purple's out! Yellow gets Gray Blue gets Green Brown gets Blue Blue gets Gray Orange gets Purple JD: Oh! Purple team is out of this game! And now Gray is, thanks to Blue, who put 2 of theirs into Gray's basket! Now Orange is focusing on eliminating Yellow! Jason: We got to get Orange out before they get rid of us! Danielle: Go for Blue! Green misses Orange Blue misses Green Orange gets the final one into Yellow JD: Yellow team is now out of the game! Orange team has taken Red team out, and then Purple team, then Yellow, and now they're going after the Green team! Colleen: Go for Orange! Orange misses Green Landon: dang it! Green gets Brown Green misses Blue Blue misses Gray Green gets Blue Number of ears of corn in baskets: Green: 2 Purple: 4 Brown: 2 Blue: 3 Yellow: 4 Gray: 4 Orange: 1 Red: 4 JD: It's now neck-and-neck for everyone! They're trying to keep it even! Green gets Blue JD: And now, the Blue team is out of the game! It's down to the final 3: Green, Orange and Brown! One of them had the disadvantage from the Samadhi! Danielle: Looks like we need to get Orange now! Landon: We need to focus on Green now! Green misses Orange Orange gets Brown Brown misses Orange Green misses Brown Orange gets Green Brielle: Get Orange! Jason: Our alliance has to win! Orange gets the final one in Green JD: Okay, now it's down to 2 teams: Orange, the team that had the Samadhi, and Brown, the second chance team! They both wanna let one another win! Brown misses Orange Orange misses Brown Number of ears of corn in baskets: Green: 4 Purple: 4 Brown: 3 Blue: 4 Yellow: 4 Gray: 4 Orange: 1 Red: 4 Orange and Brown miss on the next 3 tries JD: If Brown team gets one more, the Orange team gets the power! Karina: 1, 2, 3! Orange gets the last one in Brown Landon: YEEEAAAAAHHHH!!! Karina: Oh my God! AAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!! Orange team hugs JD: Well done Orange team! You overcame the Samadhi and guaranteed yourselves safe from tonight's Temple. Now, you have the power to send any 2 teams to the Temple. I'll see you later at the island for your decision.
Con. Orange: Landon: Oh my gosh! Me and Karina just won the first Endurance Amazon temple mission! That's something good to have! Karina: I mean everyone underestimated us with the Samadhi and gave us one ear of corn, and guess who's in charge now? Landon and Karina: It's us! Con. Nicholette: I'm actually surprised that Sean listened to me today. I never saw that coming! I think I can safely say now is that I can compliment Sean positively because we put aside one another's differences in order to win. Con. Colleen: Orange team won today and our alliance sucked. Well, now that they have the power, I do realize that I'm gonna be sent to the temple.
Blue, Purple and Gray are talking on the hammocks: Sean: Who do you think is going to Temple? Angela: I think it might be Red and Yellow. Troy: Why them? Brayden: They're the ones who really ganged up on Orange, and they're just scrambling to not leave. Nicholette: I know that the alliance is in hot water. Jessie: Well, I gotta feeling that we might be safe. Sean: How're you safe from the temple? Troy: You shouldn't hide it; you're in a secret alliance with 'em. Angela: Well, I'm scared 'cuz I gave the Samadhi to Orange for personal reasons. Sean: I don't think Orange holds a grudge, they're only strategic.
Yellow, Green and Red are talking in the huts: Jason: Well that really sucked big-time! Devon: We came in last, again! Danielle: Do you think they're gonna send 2 of our alliance? Brielle: I dunno, I think they might send Blue. Colleen: But they want our alliance broken up! Devon: Yeah, 'cause they're best friends with Gray. Jason: Are they? Jahmil: I'm pretty sure they're best friends. Brielle: I don't wanna think about going home now. Jason: Whatever Orange does, it's for the game. Jason hugs her
Orange team talking outside the huts: Karina: We did amazing in today's game! Landon: Thanks, but now we gotta make a decision on who to send. Karina: Why don't we go over teams; okay, Gray's staying, and so is Brown for sure. Landon: I don't think we should send Green. They're not that much of a threat. Karina: So how do we decide between Yellow, Purple and Blue now that Red is definitely going? Landon: Well Purple and Yellow are the strongest out of those three. Karina: But Blue team's starting to put aside their problems, but they sometimes argue... Landon: I know you aren't eager to send Jason, but we gotta do it strategically. Karina: I know it wouldn't be logically smart to send Yellow, Green or Purple up. Landon: I think it'd be best if we...
At the island: JD: hey everyone. Come on up and take a seat. I wanna talk for a minute. Now, today's game was interesting because all the other teams sorta went after the Yellow-Purple-Red-Green alliance. Now, Jason, is an alliance really going on? Jason: Yeah, we have an alliance. JD: Well, how long has it been going for? Jason: It's been going ever since the partner selection. Jessie: So that's why they chose one another as teammates. JD: It turns out you have an alliance going. I mean, you took control of the partner game and the first Samadhi; but the outsiders won today. Does that make you a candidate for the Temple? Angela: I hope not. JD: Alright, it's now time to find out who will be going to the Temple. Orange team, who is going to the Temple of Fate? Karina: We're sorry and we did this strategically... Landon: But we're sending Blue........ and Red to the temple. JD: Okay, Red team and Blue team You will have a couple of hours to say your goodbyes and pack your things. We leave at sunset for the temple of fate. One of you will never return. I’ll see you there.
Back at the huts: Devon: If I leave tonight, I'm giving you my piece Sean. Sean: Same if I leave. Landon: I'm really sorry becuase it was hard to send you guys. Colleen: You might as well blame Karina for this! Landon: What the heck do you mean?! Colleen: She was behind me going to Temple 'cause she can't stand me! Karina: Oh, shut up Colleen! You're the one who bullied us and Gray! Colleen: Get it over it, you skunk-bag! Karina (gasps): Oh you better take that back like it depends on your game!! Colleen: You can't always get your way and keep Gray and Brown around! I swear, if I return from the Temple; you will SO be the next team to leave! Karina (cries): I don't know why. What have done to you or Yellow?! Jessie: Stop it and just pack your things! This game is messing us all up. Brielle: Y'know, she's right. me and Karina were once best friends and you can be, Colleen. And even though Karina doens't want you to return, I still love you like a sister!
Con. Colleen: I really am praying that I can return from the Temple. And even though I say that Karina flirts her annoying and stupid heart out to the guys in our alliance, I think she deserves to leave on the next plane and not me!
Int. Sean: I knew me and Nicholette had it coming for us. It just sucks that when me and her are getting along good we wind up getting sent to Temple in the first elimination. And it's thanks to being targeted by everyone that sent us up.
Outside the huts, everyone is hugging and most of the girls are crying: Blue and Red walk into the rainforest towards the Temple. Other teams: Bye guys! We love you and we'll miss you! Good luck to both of you!
Int. Nicholette: I didn't hope to go the Temple this early on. But we had to because me and Sean's partnership was really horrible. But now me and Sean get along swimmingly and we're friends with everyone and it'd leave me heartbroken if I left. Int. Devon: My team hasn't really done anything wrong. It's only that Red team's going because of how my partner treated Orange. I'm really questioning if I made a good choice when I picked my partner. Int. Sean: There's a lot more I wanna accomplish in the game. Even though me and Nicholette had a lot of problems at the start, we just wanna make it further. We have a superb partnership and we're very capable of doing more here. Int. Colleen: I've really grown a lot in just 6 days here. Endurance is so real and I know that alliances and deception can be big. Even though that doesn't fell sweet, I just wanna come back and send Orange home once and for all.
At the Temple of Fate: JD: Welcome to the Temple of Fate. This is the most feared place on Endurance. In a few short minutes, one team will actually be leaving this jungle forever. The pieces you brought up here represent attributes you'll need to win, but fate could play a role in deciding your forthcoming days. In front of you are 3 cauldrons: one that contains fire, one that contains water and the final one contains wood. You'll write down your elements on a piece of bamboo, and I'll drop them into the burning kettle behind me. As you all know, fire burns wood, wood floats in water and water puts out the fire. The first team to win 2 rounds will return to the huts; the other team will be eliminated immediately. Go ahead and grab your first piece of bamboo.
Shows the teams whispering and writing things down
Devon: What should we do? Colleen: I think the best thing to do would be picking wood. Devon: Go on and write it down...
Nicholette: We need to pick water becuase I think they'll do fire. Sean: I hope you're right.
Teams hand their elements to JD, who then drops them in the kettle
JD: Okay, let's please reveal who has the dominant element.
Blue: Water Red: Wood Devon: Yes! Red team hugs JD: Red team, you picked wood; Blue team, you picked water. Wood floats in water, that gives Red one win. Blue team, if you're to have one more loss, you're gonna be eliminated. Go ahead and pick up your next piece.
Shows the teams whispering and writing things down
Devon: I picked last time, and now it's your turn. Colleen: Okay, we should do...
Sean: I'm so worried now. Nicholette: I think we need to do fire because they'll do wood...
Teams hand their elements to JD, who then drops them in the kettle
JD: Okay, Red team, if you win, you're headed back. Blue team, you have to win to force a tiebreaker. Can we please see who has the dominant element?
Blue: Fire Red: Water Nicholette looks sad and sean hugs her. Red team hugs in celebration.
JD: Red team, you picked water, Blue team, you picked fire; water puts out fire, so that means Red team is heading back. Blue team, I'm sorry to say that you've been eliminated and you should be proud of what you accomplished and I know you'll always be remembered.
Sean: Thanks JD! Nicholette: You guys are gonna do great! Devon: Thanks!
Blue team disappears behind the flames.
JD: Well, red team, all i gotta say is congratulations! You guys have survived the temple of Fate. Now, head on back and prove you wanna play this game!
Around the campfire: Jessie: I really hope Blue comes back. Jason: Oh man! Zachary: I want Red team to come back. Red team comes running from the bridge Devon: Guess who! Brielle: YES!! They all hug Red and cheer and celebrate.
Endurance Amazon Teams and Pieces: Brown team: Zachary and Meredith=Perseverance Purple team: Troy and Angela=Teamwork and Discipline Red team: Devon and Colleen=Friendship Yellow team: Jason and Brielle=Heart Gray team: Brayden and Jessie=Strength Orange team: Landon and Karina=Knowledge Green team: Jahmil and Danielle=Trust
Next time on Endurance Amazon: The teams question their own tactics and karma after a surprising turn of events: Brayden: Anyone feel kinda bad that we targeted Blue so much now? And the teams are shocked to hear some unexpected news: JD: Today, one team will no longer be part of Endurance. Angela: No way! And one more team will be exiting this place from the Temple of Fate. Who will be worthy enough to stay in the game? Find out next time on Endurance Amazon!
