Okay, so I figured I'd start a new thread to continue our discussion on the welcome thread lol.
I had to take standardized tests until I was 16, which is the age you can legally drop out, lol, I guess they didn't care about me anymore after that. ;D But I did have to take PSATs and SATs since I'm planning on going to college.
And I do have to do basic subjects, like English, math, science, history, etc, but I can choose other subjects that I want to study, like right now I'm doing a study on Shakespeare's Tragedies, since I'm planning to go into theater. It's pretty cool.

wowwie. that must be pretty awesome. i would probably take a class like home ec. or art so i could just have fun. i cant stand Shakespeare...he's SOO confusing. lol

homeschooling wouldn't work for me cus my dad never finished high school. and my mom got her ged when she was pregnant with her baby (i guess hes my brother but i've only met him like 3 times that i can remember so i dont think it really counts)

^^^and lol. no life's not bad. i have another older brother and older sister. they're twins. my parents just decided to not take the best road to have a family. lol. it just helped me mostly cus now i know what not to do.
and yesss i love my eodk family!!

My mom said being homeschooled is miserable, you have to do school for like 9 hours a day.
But then again she was never homeschooled so she was wrong!!

Cruise meerkat Youssy u said ur mom thinks homeschool takes 9 hours. well i used this one school program. it had vids then u do the work. that took like just as long as real school. now i do this prog. with just some books and things so.... its alot faster.

I couldn't stand doing the video programs.... I like moving at my own pace, not waiting for like a video or anything to catch up to me. I use a computer program for Spanish and I end up skipping a lot of the talking and just doing the work, lol.
And homeschooling could be miserable, if you don't involve yourself with other people. I guess you have to make more of an effort to find friends. But if you're like me, you'll find an awesome homeschool group and meet a bunch of kids your age.

lol..yeah my bffs are from school. but i see them a lot. i'm barely ever home. we always hang out..even if its somewhere retarded, like at my brother's and one of my bffs brother's soccer games. (their on the same team) but its funn. we always end cheering the loudest..and our brothers act like they don't know us. seriously, even the coach knows us by name. they call us their cheerleaders. once we actually considered taking pom poms. lol
