I wonder how this relates to Mattel? Wasn't DK supposed to be getting money form Mattel? Yup... postproduction.digitalmedianet.com/articles/viewarticle.jsp?id=956252Among the programs at launch will be shows based on the Transformers, My Little Pony and G.I. Joe franchises. Discovery says the network's target audience will be 6-12 year-old?? kids and their families. Margaret Loesch has been leading the channel since June , and has been busy staffing up the network. latimesblogs.latimes.com/entertainmentnewsbuzz/2010/01/discovery-and-hasbro-name-new-kids-channel-the-hub.htmlThe Hub will target primarily the 6-12 age demographic. Loesch said the other networks were focused either on teens or kids in preschool and that there was a niche for her network to exploit. www.variety.com/article/VR1118013827.html?categoryId=14&cs=1Discovery Kids skeins "Adventure Camp" and "Flight 29 Down" will also make the leap to the Hub.
Loesch said more programming info will be announced by summer. Flight 29 Down? Unless they didn't get fully rescued, that show is over. Not to mention, the actors have all moved on to different things. It's not a show like Endurance, where you can have different people every season.

Flight 29 Down isn't really a show for 6-12 year olds... And guys Endurance is 12-15, only ONE year fits into those demographics, and there's only been two people from the show that were ever 12 and on Endurance... So is DK closing? Cause Endurance is, like, pretty much not going to be on the Hub. Is it just launching a new channel or is it changing the channel's name and stuff?

Well to answer the 29 Down question, they can easily cast them at this age and place the setting in the future probably afew years into them being stuck on the island.
And Endurance was never a show set by DK to target 6-12 year olds. 3-Balls goal of reality shows is to change peoples lives and their views on different topics (Endurance was meant to change the way Teens thought about stuff they had and technology and how it affected them) but then Endurance got moved to DK from a public channel. So that means it has a very high chance of not moving over to the Hub since it wasnt originally supported by DK.

Don't know if this would make a difference but I remember reading that the target age range for Endurance was 9 to 14 which was I think was similar to some of the other shows DK on NBC.

The people on Flight 29 Down were rescued[right?] so they couldn't make a new show out of it...

Then it'll just be like Lost I guess where they show them after the Island.

The time gap I think is a little to far for a All-Stars season I think. It would be like 21 year olds vs 17 year olds. And thats just seasons 1 and 6 I think. xP
Maybe somewhere not an island would be nice. ^^
