Hi guys! So one of my favorite hobbies is organizing my own Survivor game here in New York. I cast people from around the country that want the opportunity to play the game, challenges, etc and I film everything and then create episodes just like the show. I hope one day to expand this and to do an Endurance version of it. But for now, if you are interested in checking out a fan made Survivor game, here is the first episode and I'll post the new episodes here every Friday. Would love your support! www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzVAE5NyyxA

Aw thank you! It's only getting better as the seasons progress. Season 4 will be out soon after this (filmed in 2019) What part of production do you want to know about? And yes, I cast all from around the US (next year is going global!) I've had people from all over the US who flew in to play!

Okay so I took a look at the application and it answered some of my questions.
Where do you do this?? Not specifically lol but like... is it a campground? Park? These people pay to fly themselves and also pay the game fee? What do they eat? It says it films for 3 days, what's the schedule like? One TC every like 3 hours? How much time do they have to scheme and make alliances? In such a condensed period, do you feel they can be as strategic as they want? What do eliminated players do? How big is the production team? How many cameras? How do interviews work with so many people on a tight schedule of 3 days? How many people apply? What's the casting process like, beyond the application?
I may have more lol but I'm just curious! Btw I was really sad at the episode 1 boot. I felt they just got unlucky. But episode 2, I felt was coming. I could see they were on the low end of the totem pole.

I could see they were on the low end of the totem pole. Well some of it is in a park near my house, some in my backyard area (which is a decent size) and I live behind a school field which I use for challenges and such too. Yes, people do pay for their travel expenses and the game fee. I have actually been a participant for some games and have flown to compete. I guess it's just a fun sport or activity, I'd like to think of it as. As far as eating, the first 3 seasons, we just fed them like normal food but season 4 is when they were rationed with just protein type foods/more limited quantities. Each round varies, but we have long filming days. The first round usually gets the most time but then rounds 2/3/4 get accelerated and then the merge slows down a bit again. But I'd say 1-3 hours seems about right. I wouldn't say they have the most time to be strategic but I feel like they have the opportunity to make big moves quickly because the rounds move so fast. In the past, eliminated players have gone home, or stayed and watched or stayed and helped. Depends on their mood, I guess! Production is growing, I think last season was like 10 or so and like 8 cameras maybe? The confessionals we just squeeze them in as much as possible. When a tribe wins a challenge and they have down time, it's a great time to get good lengthy confessionals. But when it gets to merge, we have to pull them and they get annoyed sometimes lol Every season has had different numbers but the season you are watching had like 110 people apply I think. The casting process was just like facetime type of interviews and really deep diving about the person and trying to figure out if they would be good, etc. It really is like casting the show because we want entertaining people, diversity, etc. I'm glad you are watching and enjoying! Episode 3: -My critique would be that in some of the interviews it’s very difficult to hear what they’re saying. Like for example, in the beginning of this episode I really couldn’t understand any of what they’re saying, cause there’s a lot of wind, they’re speaking low, etc, maybe add subtitles? -I lowkey love Sanchaya and idk why. I think I just feel bad she beat her loved one and then her loved one got voted out first. I do support a queer alliance too 👀 -I loved the twist with getting to listen to the other tribe’s TC and giving someone immunity! That was a really good twist!! -I’m surprised @ the Oneita elimination!! I thought she was tight within the tribe and was gonna go far!!

thanks for the feedback! Ep4 I started making sure to add in a lot of sub titles to help. It's so hard to know what might be hard for some people to hear because I can hear it all decently or good but glad you love Sanchaya, the twist and that you were surprised with the elimination! Ep 4 is CRAZY!

Omg I was so nervous for Sanchaya in episode 4... I was like d**n she is for sure gonna be voted out... but tbh I would've voted Charles out too! He seemed nice, but he was a little more quiet/stoic so I couldn't get a read on him. He was in the minority on the swapped tribe, and he had a partner. Idk why you'd want people to make it to a merge with their partners, unless you're working with them maybe. Just me but I want everybody on the SAME page, with no partners.
I'm really liking Innessa and Sara a lot too!

I’m okay with that elimination. She seemed sweet but I didn’t see that strategic instinct coming from her. I’m glad the person who messed up is still around she is soooo nice The beginning of the episode with Yotahola scrambling trying to figure out what happened during the last TC was SO GOOD. I think it’ll be interesting to see if Sara can take advantage of the cracks that were formed or if she remains an easy out

It's time for the MERGE! And with the merge comes a unique twist. The two players with the highest amount of votes at Tribal will both be voted out. Check out the mass chaos in this new ep: www.youtube.com/watch?v=VO7I4YT1K5s
