After watching this episode I am shocked Yellow returns but am happy for them. I want to see them or red win. One thing I noticed is that so far when 2 teams are sent to the team to the cave 1 team has been given all the coins. Now its up to the players but I would've loved to have seen a team stick with their friends and go against the other teams.

Y'all when Michelle walked into camp when everyone was fighting, COMEDY, when I tell you I died. And also when I heard Michelle say that the challenge is called Tilt, I squealed like a child. This was so fricken hilarious I couldn't stop laughing. Her face went from smiling to like terrified Indeed. She seemed kind of snooty somehow when she said "no" to the request to team swap. I feel JD would have approached that in a much different way. I also feel like the challenge was cut short. It would have been fun to see a timer as to how long they were going at it. I could hear JD in my mind. "Yellow team, your reward for winning is simple. You're still in this game." Illya getting a text when Presley got in the car? That wouldn't have happened on Endurance. Ha!

Ha! Omg ya for the tilt challenge, the editing made it seem like it was very chaotic and short. Apparently the challenge went on for longer than it was portrayed on the show.

--"Wait, I see a body." He had us there! --Illya: "There's no way to feel cold with that much energy and excitement running through my body." --Imagine if Green came back--that would be two straight series where Green foils the first elimination. --"You didn't give us a hint, though!" --The most dangerous place is to be in the middle of the crossfire. Imagine if there was a middle-man in e2. (Alternatively, Luke acts like Michael after Yellow got eliminated) --Huck: "This was a test of trust, and you have blatantly failed." --Tilt will never not be legendary. --"like Mufasa in the Lion King". Too soon for some people? (That said, I need to watch that movie) --Andrea doing what Lana should've done 20 years ago, haha. --Doesn't look too high for me. --"Who has the Courage to hold on?" --"Huck is doing pull-ups with Sienna!" Haha, how cute. ----...and they're gone. (Did they throw it again?) --Illya: "I'm so mad at myself." At least you weren't the first one out. --Luke: "I didn't let go!" --Adren/Presley has a similar dynamic to Scooter/Christa. --Ariana is basically holding court, haha. --Illya: "But issues can be resolved, right?" Tell that to Bryanah. --Adren: "You want me to apologize for something I'm not sorry for?" --There's so much hot energy around here--almost Hang 5/Team Switch levels of drama involved. --Michelle walked in at a convenient time. --Presley: "Shocking, I wonder why!" --Presley: "Why not take my jersey, and me and Illya could be partners?" I wonder how would that work out... --"Money's cool, money's great--but how do you want to be remembered?" I remember this part being significant in Michelle's "I Become a TV Network Host". --2/2 in unanimous offerings. This is not working out. --D0 you guys know why Yellow is a perceived threat? They aren't a team on the outside (e3 Yellow and e5 Blue are the most notable examples), nor are they a team which people believe is too out there (e3 Blue, e6 Purple). --Presley: "I'm feeling it."/Adren: "What?"/Presley: "Just the energy." --Not Presley being happy for Yellow--it's a bit offputting despite her connection with Illya. --Holy cow, indeed.

--The most dangerous place is to be in the middle of the crossfire. Imagine if there was a middle-man in e2. (Alternatively, Luke acts like Michael after Yellow got eliminated) In E2, Blue was kind of in the middle - Christa seemed to get along well with Green/Yellow/Brown (Keetin even specifically said she didn't want to send Christa right after one of Green's first two temple mission wins), while Scooter was very adamantly anti-Brown (almost drowning out Christa at times). But also, arguably, Green was in the middle for the first half of E2 - helping to pick off teams not in the Green/Yellow/Brown alliance, but also not working against or antagonizing the most powerful team not in their alliance (Purple).
In some sense, I feel like being close to the middle on Endurance was generally not the worst thing, as long as the team in the middle wasn't revealing one side's information/secrets to the other side - if a team was trying to split up a strong alliance of 2 teams and there was a 3rd team who was a little bit friendly with the strong alliance, it wouldn't have made sense to target the 3rd team before the main 2 teams (barring weird twists like the E5 Triangle of Immunity or E6 Mana Kisi, had E6 Green's lie actually been the truth). The team in the middle would still probably have to win some missions or temples late in the game to stay in - but sometimes just being able to avoid one temple early on could make a big difference. E6 Blue comes to mind here - they weren't close with E6 Green/E6 Orange (plus E6 Red, Hannah being strung along by Lauren and Leslie through Weight an Hour), but still managed to avoid getting sent to the first temple. Then later, they were easily able to work with Red in 3 To Go/Shark Bait. I acknowledge that E6 Blue was generally well-liked (or at least not hated), and was also generally not thought to be a big threat to win missions - but being well-liked and being in the middle are pretty closely related.
With that said, the middle in this episode of Karma was dangerous, I would say more dangerous than any middle on Endurance.
--"Huck is doing pull-ups with Sienna!" Haha, how cute. ----...and they're gone. (Did they throw it again?) Are you referring to Huck (and obviously others like Skylie and Andrea) not winning Fit to Pick? Given that the bonus Karma coin was at stake in this mission, this would seem like a bad one to throw.
--Adren/Presley has a similar dynamic to Scooter/Christa. I would agree that both teams did not communicate with each other especially well. But other than that, I feel like their dynamics were quite different. Scooter got his team targeted for being very vocal about wanting Brown out, and Christa said she felt like he wanted to be a one-man team with "some girl" (implying that it didn't really matter which girl) at his side. I never got the sense that Adren was trying to be a one-man team; he certainly could have (and probably should have, if Orange was going to win) talked to Presley much more before participating in undermining Blue with the set up, but I didn't feel like he did that because he felt like he was "hot stuff" and had to do all the maneuvering for Orange by himself. In terms of the missions, Adren was very aware (based on not doing especially well in the Right to Stay) that he was not the strongest of the male players, and so would not have been wise to try to win the game alone. And on the other hand, maybe Christa was just not the type to cry - but in E2 we never saw Scooter laugh at Christa or walk out on her when they were talking one-on-one. --Presley: "Why not take my jersey, and me and Illya could be partners?" I wonder how would that work out... It would have been interesting! Considering how much negativity occurred with the partner switch in E5, it would have been interesting to have seen if a partner switch in this season would have reduced the negativity.
Knowing what the challenges are in the episodes after this one...I don't know if I would like the odds of a Presley/Illya team to win the challenges in Episode 4 or Episode 7, and I would have to think that an Adren/Eli team would be an enormous target for the other teams.
--2/2 in unanimous offerings. This is not working out. If they would ever do a second season of Karma, it would be interesting to see if the group dynamics would result in lots of unanimous offerings, or not. I think it could be quite different, depending on how the alliances form. The unanimity in the first two Karma offerings was due to Mack's team selections, and Yellow's apparent strength (more on this in my next answer). --D0 you guys know why Yellow is a perceived threat? They aren't a team on the outside (e3 Yellow and e5 Blue are the most notable examples), nor are they a team which people believe is too out there (e3 Blue, e6 Purple). As far as I could see, Yellow was perceived as a legitimately strong team and I think they were actually pretty strong - they didn't look great in Tilt this episode, but watch Eli's performance in the mission in the next episode, and Illya is obviously resilient. Also, while it's true that Yellow is not a lone outsider team like E3 Yellow became and E5 Blue became...they also aren't in the most powerful alliance. The next episode really helps to clarify the alliance structure. --Not Presley being happy for Yellow--it's a bit offputting despite her connection with Illya. For some reason I didn't mind this. With the context of what had just happened in this episode, I could see how in some ways it would be comforting to see a friend get to continue to live their dream, while at the same time leave behind some of one's own frustration.

As always, your analysis is really thoughtful! For Tilt, I was trying to referring to how Gray threw Tilt on e1, not what's going on in Karma. And I wasn't upset about Presley being happy for Yellow--it's touching, but it's sad too.
