Thanks Tyler for the interview.
Tristan: Do you still keep in contact with anyone from Endurance?
Tyler: I keep trying to get scooter to get me YouTube famous, should have stayed in contact with glen he’s in a Netflix movie.. but no, didn’t care then, don’t care now
Tristan: What is your favorite memory from Endurance?
Tyler: Don’t remember much, but sleeping under the stars 45 minutes away from any real civilization was kick ass.. never seen anything like it
Tristan: What was your favorite mission from the show?
Tyler: The rope one, if you watch close you’ll see me rip one of the poles out of the ground after my rope got tangled in it.. my strength on the show was underrated (since I didn’t care anyways) I carried the team without even trying
Tristan: What was your relationship like with Michelle when you weren't doing a challenge?
Tyler: She was an clueless, but proved useful for making the other teams feel bad for us.. if I had a partner with any talent we either would have won or gotten kicked off immediately due to being the ultimate threat(kind of wish I cared about who my partner was, went with orange because no one else wanted it and I look good in everything).. however by the end I felt bad for Michele and I believe we got as far as we did because of how pitiful she was and how strong (both mentally and physically) I was.. people say I didn’t want to be there, that was the first 4-6 days (can’t remember) it just seems like longer because each day was an entire episode
Tristan: Was being on a televised competition more difficult or different than you expected?
Tyler: Nope, didn’t care then, don’t care now.. although at one point they revoked our Gatorade privileges because we kept stealing them out of the coolers.. that was unexpected
Tristan: Final question. Are the any non-invasive ways fans of the show can contact you?
Tyler: @tbabysnuggle obviously.. but you’re asking the wrong questions.. questions you should ask: what happened behind the camera? Why take the samati out of the game? Who is tbabysnuggle? Etc..
The answer is yes
Also you asked Michele more questions than me, I’m offended
Tristan: FYI that wasn't me asking Michelle the questions but I'll ask you more.
Tyler: Now we’re talking
Tristan: what happened behind the camera?
Tyler: Yes, I was homesick (missed my gf and was supposed to be in Miami at the time of filming) but the real reason I wanted to leave the beach early was because of the $60 a day per diem.. I would have sat on a different beach in Mexico making $60 a day for
two and a half weeks (my guardian) was there with me on “vacation” I would have gone home with $1200 in my pocket.. not bad for a 12 year old.. when I explained this to some of the other kids (on camera) the producers pulled me aside (off camera) and threatened to kick me off the show if I talked about it again.. when I rejoined the group they asked me what I was being reprimanded for? I said “I’m not supposed to talk about money on camera”.. I was pulled aside again (off camera) and threatened by the producers, I told them they couldn’t kick me off the show because it wouldn’t make sense (I had been auditioning for tv roles for years at this point) they then threatened to make me sit in the confessional booth during filming time.. so I quit talking about money on camera.. I was the most intelligent person on that beach, hands down.
Tristan: Why take the Samadhi out of the game?
Tyler: There were 4 teams on the beach (if I remember correctly) purple, orange, brown and green.. purple had all the pieces.. Michele had a good relationship with purple so we needed them to go home and leave us their pieces.. couldn’t give them the samati.. needed green or brown to win the challenge the next day and send purple and (green or brown) to the temple.. couldn’t give green or brown the samati because we needed whoever won to keep us on the beach.. got rid of the samati and got our pieces.. have to thank Michele at that point for her relationship with purple that gave us the lead, but it was my genius that put the puzzle together
For the record Michele had no idea what my plan was
She sucked
Tristan: What was your plan?
Tyler: To take the samati out.. to use all the pieces on the chess board to my advantage, and it worked until Michele and I had all the pieces and the other teams (brown and green) had nothing.. at that point the producers rigged the outcome of the show
Tristan: How did the producers rig the show?
Tyler: Michele and I had already gone to the temple twice.. we knew the drill.. when we were sent to the temple against green (our 12 pieces to their 2) the producers took us aside and put us on a boat.. they said “we have to shoot some b-roll with green”.. we were taken on a boat ride while they filmed green writing different words on rocks.. fire, wind, water, whatever they were.. so when we actually played our death defying game of “rock, paper, scissors” the outcome was already decided.. they just used the b-roll to make it look like green won.. doesn’t make sense for there to only be 2 pieces up for grabs in the final challenge
Orange teams 12 pieces made the last episodes a lot more juicy
Tristan: Final 2 questions. Who is tbabysnuggle and would you go and do Endurance again?
Tyler @tbabysnuggle is your boy, and the leader of the “team” follow me on SoundCloud, Instagram, Snapchat, clash of clans (just had a perfect 30 star war), Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and anything else social media related..
Would I go on endurance again? Why not, a free vacation sounds pretty good almost 20 years later..
