Has anybody seen her audition? I was very surprised with how she acted on this...she seemed pretty chill and normal on Endurance, but on American Idol she was not lol. I feel like her bringing up the fact she was on American Juniors was her way "in" to see the judges and get some camera time. Unfortunately she kinda fell flat on her face :/ Lol I don't think it was scripted but I do think the editors definitely had some fun with this one. She was soooo confident she'd get through to the next round and the fact she basically threw a tantrum when she didn't...oh man, she fell right into their trap. When someone has a meltdown on camera, that's immediately reality TV gold.
Based on other videos of her singing, I think she does have a pretty good voice. But she picked a really bad song for her and tried to be someone she's not (she's no Janis Joplin...), and I do see what the judges are saying when they tell her it's over-rehearsed and over the top. She should have picked a pop song and just sang it straight forward.
I don't think she would have won or anything, but I could have seen her at least making it to the next round.
