Hmm...if they had not revealed their alliance so early, then Gray could've pulled off a mission win or two, but falling short of the final four. That said, I think they're fine where they are. Purple (E5): 2nd place |

I cannot deny that E5 Purple was one of the stronger teams of the season and had enough strategic ability to avoid temple when they didn't win a temple mission (a distinction only E1 Blue shares). Their tendency to carry green though does make them rather controversial to the point it was arguably karma that they lost to them in the finale. This position could thus be fair though I would be curious in a what if scenario where (at least based on Kelsey's interview here) on how the slingshot mission would have turned out if she didn't lose a eye contact or had spares as that was the mission that put Green in the lead.

Deserved to go further! They came in second in Ring of Fire, and who knows how well they would've done had they got to compete in the other missions of e3. Having two alliance-based ones really didn't help. Plus, they seemed to get along quite well.
