Hey, old friends. :) It's EnduranceFanChris. You may not remember me, but I used to post quite a lot on the boards! haha Sadly, it's been quite a while since I've even been on the site. Like everyone else, I've been desperately praying for a new season!
Recently, I saw an episode of Endurance High Sierras, and it brought back TONSS of memories. It also reminded me just how much my perceptions have changed. When Endurance High Sierras first came on, I was only ten. I remember looking at the fourteen and fifteen year old kids and thinking "Wow, they're so old!". Now that I'm fourteen myself, though, I'm looking at the twelve and thirteen year olds and thinking "Wow, they're so young!". haha
I also remember being so excited on my twelfth birthday because I would get to audition for my favorite show ever! You can imagine the disappointment I felt when audition time came around, and Endurance was reported to be "put on hold". I was always one of the younger Endurance fans, and I felt bad as every year passed and the dreams of older Endurance fans slowly faded away with their 16th birthdays. Although a new season of Endurance would be great, I think too many of it's fans have grown too old to even audition for the show. Seeing many of the actual Endurance players grow also up made me feel sad. Those were our players. Our Lilly, our Conner, our Jeff. Now a lot of our players are adults. They have lives and jobs and (most devastating of all) drivers licenses. A lot of players have even "moved on" from Endurance. (How do you "move on" from such a life-changing experience?)
Anyway, I just thought I'd drop by to say hi after almost half a year. I'm still an Endurance Fan, and I still love the show!:) I'm certainly not ready to let it go just yet.
